Great video! I've wondering how to return to pioneer since I enjoyed a lot 4c decks in modern before the yorion ban.
Any chance to get your decklist?
    Cheers!

      Thank you!
I don't have a specific list, and tried to cover all the cards I've seen across top placing decks in the last couple of weeks. If I had to suggest one, I'd try this one from McWinSsuce that won a Challenge a few weeks ago (they also ran Damping Sphere which I didn't touch upon in this video): www.mtggoldfish.com/archetype/niv-to-light#paper

@@optimustomtv thanks bunches for your response!
I would like to ask also if you see a potential yorion ban in Pioneer, as in the past if 80 card deck became popular, was a targeted reason for wizards to pull the trigger

No reason to Ban Yorion, the Niv deck and some Control decks are the only ones that play it.
The 80 card deck wasn't the reason for the ban by the way - it was a mix of two reasons that ended up making tournaments go to time in the round frequently. The first one was fetchlands in Modern. Players having to shuffle their larger decks over and over again (also due to cards like Wrenn & Six that got fetches back constantly) led to matches taking extra time due to the amount of shuffling. The second reason was the Yorion decks in Modern were often very low on win conditions, and would take a lot of game actions (IE - W&6 get back fetch, crack fetch, shuffle) that didn't actually further the game state. Aside from Omnath, Yorion itself, and a few Lightning Bolts - the deck didn't have ways to win and often drew in the mirror match.
Combo that with the amount of metagame share the 4/5c decks had, you end up with a LOT of mirror matches in a room going to time. In theory, Yorion wasn't the biggest issue with the deck, but effectively made pilots streamline the deck and add meaningful win cons since relying on your Companion was no longer an option.

@@optimustomtv thanks so much for your elaborated response, I was certanly vague with my assumption and totally forgot about fetchlands. You totally talked me into It and will probably build the deck 🤘
