I just finished matching primer pockets on 200 rounds of Palma brass for my 308 for F-T/R using the original tool. I’ll need to get one of these. Already have the case holder on order. Due in Saturday. Didn’t take long to figure out I needed that too. I have similar issues with my hands. Thanks again for the review. And costing me more money.
Your new website is a blessing !!!!
I’m kinda new to f class shooting . ( 2nd year into it)
Your website has helped a lot ,very informative .
Would like to see more on shooting techniques and practice routines . Such as form , tight hold , free recoil ,dry fire , etc
This seems compelling. I just ordered one from your link! I can't wait to feel the difference. I too have had binding issues with the original style.
I used to chamfer flash hole by hand with a drill bit....6 twists i seem to recall....i liked the idea...was never convinced it would make any real difference though...😂
Good review John, I’ve ordered mine.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy it.
I had no idea that existed. Yes I must live under a rock. Oh I just looked it up (spendy).
my hands will cramp even using the case holder if i do the repetitive things over and over no matter how big it is to hold they still cramp but i will tell you one mouth full of mustard and the cramps will be gone completely within 10 minutes its the only thing i have found that works for the cramps for me keep up the good work
Mustard? Wow
i was working on some plumbing one day and a old colored brick mason got bad cramps he got some mustard and was back working in 5 minutes he said his grandma told him it would work and he swears by it@@thelittledetailscr7231
Have a old Sinclair,
It works well
Buy Lapua brass, and toss the tool
I have the original K&M but I've always preferred the RCBS one
It looks like it might cut deeper if you’re not careful. Does it have a set depth
Very nice but don’t like the price $145 😮 and the second like didn’t work 😢 nice video John 👍
They’ll live if you don’t buy one
Hi, are you using the pocket uniformer 1 time for new brass only, or also during the brass lifetime for cleaning?
I just do it once.
John, does this end the problem the original had compared to this one of having to clean out the savings? It looks more like a drill bit that would push the shavings out while it's cutting?
I definitely noticed that less metal was left behind but more than anything I found that I wasn't having to clean the tool off like I did with the standard tool. With the old tool the metal left behind on the bit would precent cutting when it built up but I didn't see any of that happening with the new one.
Thanks John. I also follow Greg Dystra over at PrimalRights and he highly recommends NOT using a primer pocket correction tool as then you are introducing more variables unless you can be absoulutely sure you are very precise with the operation and not screwing up the sidewalls or anything. I talked to him on the phone and he had me convinced. But I am thinking about it because at least you have one thing that will be the same measurement, as opposed to haveing diferent height primers and differentt depth primer pockets. There is pretty much nothing you can do about rim thickness though. And even if there was a good way of measuring it, I don't want to spend my life sorting, sorting, sorting!@@FClassJohn
Hi John. Would this dress up primer pocket crimps? Thanks.
I honestly couldn't say what it would do to crimps. I would give them a shout and ask. I just don't have the experience to give you a good answer on that.
If you go to the page, it says that it removes crimps.
Good video, thanks for sharing. However I do find it disturbing you all spend what you do on Lapua brass and need to clean up the primer pockets. You'd think for what they charge (or any of the premium brass makers) that you would get them with this already done and they could do it far more precisely via a jig in the line than we can by hand. Now if you needed the pockets a little deeper or cleaned up after firing, that's a different story, but cleaning up new premium brass? They really need to step up their game for you all and do the initial run.
What machine is used in this video that the tool is used in? I’ve been looking for something better than a hand drill. Thanks
It's the K&M Bench Tool kmshooting.com/product/k-m-benchtop-case-prep-machine-50-200-rpm/
Thanks. Would like to see a video review on it. Not much info available on it.
Guys, about to get a few of these and have a quick question. My small rifle one needs the undersized flash hole (6br Lapua), but for Large rifle I have Lapua 300 Norma Mag and Peterson 7prc. Do these use ”standard” or undersized large rifle flash holes? At $150, I would rather not get the wrong one or have to buy three.
Anyone carry these in the EU or UK? Shipping was over $100 from KM
I honestly don't know for sure. I would email them and ask. They're usually pretty quick to respond.
@@FClassJohn Lapua answered 2mm on 308 LR as well as Norma Magnum. That is 0.787 inches
Is it worth the $150-$200 price tag? Do you still debur the inside primer pocket after using this?
For me it is, but of course their standard primer pocket uniformer is good too. I don't do any other process to the brass.
Is your borden action a single shot or repeater?
Definitely a single shot. For F Class that's all you want. There's probably some people using repeaters but I don't know that I've ever seen anyone actually load from the mag. We as F Class shooters tend to shoot ammo longer than mag length.
@FClassJohn think you im thinking of building a 7prcw but I want a mag feed as I'm not a fclass shooter thinking of going with a borden action but unsure which one to go with
@@ronniebaker3036 That's super easy to fix. Just call and talk to Jim, he's amazing and will guide you to the perfect action for your needs.
Ok thank you I saw the pod cast with Eric and Speedy talking about the borden action and firing system. Again thank you sir I watch all of your, Eric and speedy videos I see posted !
@@FClassJohnHe really is great to buy from. No BS and great advice.
$150 each plus $108.50 for the holder ... are they having a laugh!
What if your flash hole is off center? Instant ruined primer pocket. If I want a chamfer at the bottom of the pocket I will just leave it alone as it comes with a radius. No thanks............
