    Nice build looks great.
Active speaker to me is an active cross over with separate amps for each speaker driver, otherwise it's just a powered BT/streamer speaker

This is my definition!! "An active speaker is a self-amplified and powered speaker requiring AC power to one or both speakers"

These look great. Still building up the courage to veneer my first build.

Just crack on and do it!! You could build a small box and practice first!?

Using the iron on method is suuuper easy! It can be intimidating but it really is as easy as it looks. I practiced once on a scrap of wood then got going with it. Its simpler than properly ironing a shirt😂. I'm veneering a second pair of speakers in the coming weeks, same method since its so easy. Just one tip, figure out which parts you do first so the seams that overlap would otherwise be (slightly) visible get covered by the next part you veneer. E.g. bottom first, then back, top, sides, then the front

Good Idea, I have several amps like that and didn't want to cut up my speakers to use them .

You seem to imply that the one amp is all you need for stereo, but sure looks like a single channel amp to me. What am I missing? A single pair of speaker binding posts allows for + and - for one speaker. How do you set the plate amp to LEFT or RIGHT to use a 2nd plate amp?

Look closer at the build. One set of binding posts is integrated for one channel and I added the others into the build for the other. This plate is designed to go in one speaker and then the second speaker l/R whichever you prefer is connect the the integrated posts. The build is to demonstrate that the amp plate with wifi/bluetooth/streaming can then be used on any set of passive speakers.

why are you building only full range speakers?

If you read what the channel is about, it's to encourage people to start and build. Full range easiest way to start

So These Speaker enclosures you make, What is the frequency response you are going for when you think about making them, and do you acomplish that response after you make the enclosure with the choosen Speaker(s)....

Hi Robert, some of my earlier builds on the site have been built using software early the latter ones are builds from the Markaudio website. I always try and put the frequency response in the descriptions when I can.

@@DIY-AUDIO Cheers, I had to ask because it's seems pointless to build something if it isn't going to make things better. Enjoy the channel BTW.
P.S. For people like myself that view on my Android TV I don't get any links and or Discriptions, Like I would be able to if I viewed in a web browser. Just incase you might wonder???
