    Thank you, Brechen.
    I'm glad you mention that we shouldn't get into mindfulness just for the benefits (even though there are many) because the one who is after benefits the most, is likely to be disappointed that a few mindfulness sessions didn't do much for them, and quit.
    But quitting mindfulness doesn't help anyone.
    And you're right, much of the benefit isn't even for the self, it's for all of us. I prefer being around mindful people, if I have the choice.
    It is a practice we have to stick with for the long haul, being present more often, being more aware, not dwelling on the past or fantasizing about the future too much. It's living this life whole-heartedly.
    Mindfulness also helps us find peace and clarity - and from there, hopefully contentment or happiness.
