Although I do think that birdo and yoshi are actually different species and they might not need a male/female counterpart to reproduce since they’re always spitting out eggs. As for companionship that could be a whole bag of questions since the only time I’ve ever seen yoshis living a more normal life was the yoshi village in Mario RPG.
**SPOILERS** I love watching Wizzy, but wow this was a heartbreaker. You can easily tell how much work has gone into Amsa's Yoshi - it's insane. I'm not usually one to audibly react, but this one pulled a few "NO!"s from me.

Ibdw had the toughest bracket, but I genuinely think amsa would have won the whole thing if he didn't have to face wizzy or ibdw. Even if he faced one of them twice I think he could adapt.
Every time I see Melee Yoshi I wish so much he had modern Yoshis's recovery he would move at least 2 positions up on the tier list imo. Just having a jump even with super armor feels so bad esp when chars like falcon can abuse it so easily. Or honestly like if his fair was a spike amsa would have won so many sets if that was the case.
Yoshi's dash grab is terrible. It's "behind the screen", which makes grabbing people with it very dependent on their character model (specifically their Z-axis width at grab height). It works a LOT better on spacies than on most other characters - Falcon included. So aMSa not grabbing is because, well... Yoshi doesn't have a grab that works
Amsa is obviously a japanese, it sounds racist but he's so polite so wholesome so... respectful. I love him, he smiles when he loses and gives his opponents wholesome fistbumps, so cool
