1) THAT is LIGHT Arabian crude??? I thought 'light' at least implied it was a liquid 4:12 2) Odd musical choice. More fitting for a video on a carefree sightseeing cruise or a disco dance club 10:27 3) Pray tell, how can a ship, not even laden with any cargo, sink on her maiden voyage?? (no lurking icebergs) 12:33 4) I am surprised that none of those working in such hazardous conditions wore a hardhat
dwede1man I worked in a chemical plant in 1977. Even back then, entities such as OSHA required us to wear hardhats. On a disintegrating ship in rough seas, there are many more hazards than just what's flown in by helicopter. Europe has typically been more safety stringent than the U.S. So it is surprising that in a hazardous environment that the salvage company would not require a helmet.
It didn't take long to drag trump into it. Quick call him a nazi, and, be done with it. If memory serves me correctly, it was anti trumper, robert de niro who was dropping the f bombs, at trump, not the other way around. If you're going to ride a high horse, make sure you are facing the right way.
I was kind of surprised that many of the crew were wearing only codpieces; then the music started and I began to understand. why wear a hardhat? it's showing your pretty arse that counts haha what a crew!
You could say that about cars too but my guess is for most of the time bad weather could easily blow or push any ship weighing tens of thousands of tonnes into reefs or rocks as if it were a simple sail... and if it's not that then I'm with you.
Lily Hughes the Betelgeuse exploded while offloading its cargo of fuel on that pier, Olympic Bravery drifted out of control due to both engine and anchor failure, etc. all of these wrecks were 40 years ago, and while technology has improved vastly in that time, ships are still machines and thus prone to failure. The collisions are avoidable, however you have to understand the sheer size and mass of these vessels. They don’t turn and stop on a dime, and in thick fog it is very easy to become disoriented when passing another vessel...especially considering radar technology 40 plus years ago.

there are few dozen or more tanks out there that are still single hull design.
Helmets and other protection gear were´nt suitable enough for such manly work, back then.
