- Welcome back to another episode of the Uncleared (0.00%) level series, where we are attempting to leave no levels left uncleared in Mario Maker 2!
In today's episode we run into a level that at first first glance appears to be unbeatable...but is it really? And then later we happen upon a DGR Troll level that is pretty interesting to say the least!

The description on the bob-ombs level actually reads something like "let's use ground-pounds!" so the level creator wasn't being that mean, they did give a hint!

Wow! Thanks for translation! It did have auto mario as a tag tho weirdly! I thought it required a precise spin jump, as the bob ombs went slightly forward and backward on the pile. You would spin jump when it tilted forward and make it over them, but now I don't have to make a fool of myself XD!
Anyone want me to explain the ground pound
thetrue hero I figured it out. See, the way the bob-ombstilt forward and backward make the hit box able to hit. This allows you to hit them from the side without having to hit them first.

It’s always amazing to me how such great levels, like that first level, which had some unique mechanics that were cool, go unplayed enough to be uncleared. It’s a travesty for those level designers
Yea must be really devastating for them to see noone is able to clear the level they put so much thoughts in, knowing its beatable

8:49 here is an explanation. Whenever you ground pound an enemy, the game checks, if you are moving down whilst your hitbox is inside of an enemy's, instead of checking if you are above it. This means that if you ground pound and an enemy walks into you, it kills that enemy.

Coming back and watching this after time, this is such a great uncleared levels episode.
From Dave‘s extra happy-go-lucky attitude, to the quality and diversity of the levels and the hilarious anti soft lock in the troll level (“ok I think we can die now…” - back when Dave speaking precipitating his deaths wasn’t a meme yet, this helped pave the way 😂), it’s simply **chefs kiss**

9:21 DGR, what you just did is what is called a side squash, the hit detection in all 2D Mario games doesn’t ask if you are directly above an enemy when you are jumping onto them, instead it asks if Mario was falling down when both the enemy and Mario’s hit boxes collide. This can’t be replicated in the middle of stacks in SMM as they act more like Pokeys, so you must jump on top.
