In really thick hay you can get by with just flipping the hay over. Unfortunately this year we can hardly get any dry weather and have had to tedder everything 2 times to get it dry before the next rain.
Mark Cornell if that Massy didn’t have the finger controlled remotes it would probably be a lot more of a pain i think. Especially on my little chopped up fields.
Gosselin Farms Ed Gosselin is steel rollers better? Or tines. I almost got tines for our grass hay but like I said in the video 4k cheaper for the rubber roller. Also going from no conditioner to having one i can tell a difference in the way the hay looks and drys baled
@@SLCFarms I got spoiled with the impeller.. going back to rubber was a mistake. NH has impeller too, but they are like Combs, just look cheap to me. I like the JD impeller, the older challengers were the same. I don't know what they use now. Going from nothing to rolls, you will like it!! I've been told that steel rolls are great too, but I've never been around any.
Man thats some of the finest ditch hay you ever ate, fertilized with oil, gas, diesel, and all the trash and best beer can juice and dip spit In South Carolina. We get like $300 a roll for that quality hay. Lol see ya later bud
southerndirt 95 well had i known this would be the year from hell and we would get rain every freaking day I probably wouldn’t have got it this year and waited till next spring
That broken bolt could have been overtorqued or even from a bad batch... they might end up replacing all those bolts up front. Had a SuperM baler and the bolts that hold the bands around on the picker were shearing off. Even though baler was out of warranty, they sent up all new bolts since they had reports from other operators having the same issues.
Nice looking Mower..........You say it uses Shear Hubs...... Do they look anything like Those on Hew Holland? Our Krones use shearable Roll Pins.... Haven't had to replace any yet...
That was first that should had been cut a month before that. It was June 2. We have had such horrible weather I haven’t even started second cut and should be starting 3rd or even 4th cut. We cant get a dry week. I finally finished all my first cutting July 28th
Hi I stopped by from Farmall's to visit you're channel. I hit all the buttons and bell I hope you do too Tyfs ❤ I'm Looking forward to seeing more videos!! Have a wonderful day much love to you 🥰
Correct we still have it and have mowed side by each. I honestly cant tell a whole lot of difference on dry time this year anyway lol. We are so wet it’s unreal.
Brian, now that you have ran this a couple seasons, how do the shear hubs perform on keeping the adjacent hubs from crashing? Also, did Vermeer give you plenty of pivot range to allow you to straddle the previous windrow and not smash it down?
I have had my fill on changing blades on the deeres and the kuhns so let me know how those blades last and how the change over is long term since most of my help cant take time to put blades on right side up so they trash about 100 blades in 3 months . Next year all the hay cut will be one field of 120 acres and another of 40 lol no more subdivision patches with peoples garbage laying in them
@@SLCFarms 😵😲🤬🤬🤬 Ours had old pickups and a hand full of tools.. until the late '80s.. we always had a better service truck than they did until the early 2000... Lol.. hard to fix things like balers without being in the field..
Best of luck with the new mower
Thank you.
Always enjoy the videos
G'day SLC
Howdy Murphy. Hows things down under?
@@SLCFarms Nice and hot 👍
Looks like a great piece of equipment! Nice to have dealership that takes care of you.
It really is and i can drive the tractors there its so close.
Vermeer is good but they can be a pain in the ass at times. I’m in Florida . I do like there equipment it’s a good brand
Thanks brain.i never run a center pivot my good friend run two new Holland's on a dairy farm.loves them..
i know a few guys up here who run those mowers and they love them
Northern Wisconsin farming so far i am a happy owner. Now if I could just get some weather to use it
You just answered the question. You still have to rake, just easier, more uniform rows.
In really thick hay you can get by with just flipping the hay over. Unfortunately this year we can hardly get any dry weather and have had to tedder everything 2 times to get it dry before the next rain.
Great video Brian. That sure is a nice looking mower. Nice to see how a center pivot works. Thanks for sharing.
I really like it. I hope it lasts years and is a good investment.
That's a great looking mower!!! Hope to have one of those one day. Take care and see you next time
With the finance options Vermeer had i was well worth it.
Brain ,I bet you are good with it know..nice..never seen one around here..tks....
Mark Cornell if that Massy didn’t have the finger controlled remotes it would probably be a lot more of a pain i think. Especially on my little chopped up fields.
Great video nice mower
Nice looking machine!!
I'd take it, except it's got rubber...
Impeller and I'd take it 👍
I'm sure it will be a great machine for many years to come!!

Nice. Would love to own a center pivot. Good Luck with it.
I was really nervous at first, thinking it would be way to big on a lot of my little fields.
You just can't beat Vermeer.
Happy Harvesting
Real nice conditioner made cutting that ditch bank hay a breeze lol. Should speed up haying if the weather would just cooperate

Dang that thing looks huge, hope it works out for you my friend. Take care and have a blessed week.
It is huge lol i was nervous getting it but no regret now.
Best of luck with the new disc mower
Nice looking machine.
That's one good-looking more I want a tm1210 Vermeer it just hard to convince myself to buy it my 2nd year in
southerndirt 95 well had i known this would be the year from hell and we would get rain every freaking day I probably wouldn’t have got it this year and waited till next spring
looks like a nice machine, hope it works out for ya and adds to the bottom line bud.
Donald Cralton I second that sir couldn’t say it any better.
How wide are the rubber rolls.here in Michigan alalafa wouldn't get crushed good .and have to tedder it out to get it dry....
Mark Cornell 9’ I believe. You can adjust the swath width and openings pretty good.

You are probably right especially with the forgotten locktite on the hubs the same guy probably didn’t toque the bolts right
Hey man , I was wondering what it coast to get your round bales made into squares
About a dollar a bale
@@SLCFarms why would you want to build your own unrolling house to save a dollar a bale.

How fast are going in that tractor
It will do 27 I mow about 6-7 mph

Farming for Fun & Profit its a little gear looking thing. So far so good but if one does ever go it a really simple fix.
Nice looking mower. I’ve got to run it. Never run a center pivot. Have a good one buddy
Congrats Brian! I would like to try a center pivot- seems like it would be a lot faster.
DeHaven Family Farm it really is much faster now that i know how to operate it better.
Thank you 🙏
Good looking mower. Have you ever seen another alligator in those ponds across the street?
No never knew there was one.
SLC Farms one got run over in the road just behind those ponds about two or three years ago.
Daniel Ramsey never knew that.
Second cut grass ..?

That's sure is a nice mower. Previously you ran a disc mower with no conditioner right? We've had good luck with our Vermeer mowers and the dealer.
Correct we still have it and have mowed side by each. I honestly cant tell a whole lot of difference on dry time this year anyway lol. We are so wet it’s unreal.
So you dont have to rake with this cutter?

Why is this machine not being produced by Vermeer at this time? 2024
Probably because they were junk. They bought this unit back from me
You gotta take it back??? Service department should send someone out to the field.. warranty!!!!
Gosselin Farms Ed Gosselin in my area dealers don’t have service trucks. 🤬 is all i have to say about that (in Forest Gump Voice)
