When you said that it looked like someone might have run over it, I had said to my self..."yeah, that's definitely possible", it could have also gotten caught in some of the machinery that moves packages along. Glad to see the jersey came in undamaged on cursory examination.
I knew it was the leafs. Got one of these hand stitched from coolhockey. Took forever to get to me, but honestly, one of the most underrated rr jerseys. It looks a lot better in person and the numbers when hand stitched look incredible.

That’s most likely someone taped up their package badly and some super strong tape was stuck to your package and when they were sorting it out it got torn by the tape. You can tell how the plastic packaging looks like it was stretched out when it tore up not crushed or torn with a knife
I wouldn't doubt it was run over or got caught in a conveyor of some sort. I had ordered a desk for a new PC I built a couple years ago and it was shipped to my house through UPS, the desk was run over not once, but twice! There were tire marks from a set of bald forklift tires and tire marks from what was likely a delivery truck. The driver had a sort of "Sucks to be you, it's not our fault" attitude.
No way that happened, I had a rip in an envelope and they refunded my shipping and cost of the item. Are you dealing with a company that put no money for import fees?
As for someone who has worked in the warehouse for UPS, the amount of things that could happen to a package on a daily is amazing. Nah honestly looks like it got stuck on a roller
Hi Neil if you are searching for a Calgary Flames reverse retro I would recommend looking on the Calgary team store as they have some. I would also recommend looking at a jersey city/lids store in a mall near you because I recently got mine in a mall. It is a great jersey and I think it would be a good addition to your collection.
Team store only has small sizes, and no store local to me has it because I live on the east coast of Canada and we only usually get Toronto, Montreal and Boston stuff in.
Just got the Stadium Series 19 Letang Penguins jersey from Ebay. I didn't like how much I paid for it. But, I really wanted it. Thanks for the content.
Now I realize the bag damage is the "story" here but man you did not give any poops about the jersey itself lol. Just a casual looks better in person. Which is true as I also own this Jersey. This one really needs a name and numbers on it to be better. The Blue numbers on Blue Jersey did not translate very well on the ice but it is fine otherwise. I like the overall design and I LOVE the retro leaf patches on the shoulders. The big ghetto logo on the chest was a miss. I can deal with it - but would have rather had something else.
Looks better in person, definitely in the bottom half of the RR for me. Nothing more to say really. Gave most of my thoughts on this when it was released and in a few ranking videos.
