I just purchased the Neon Sun aftershave to pair with my Taylor Of Old Bond Street lime zest shaving soap and Ariana & Evans unscented shaving soap. I am completely new to Noble Otter products so I also bought the Noble Otter deck of cards! I cant wait for my Noble Otter product to come in the mail! I am so excited for my next shave!
I’m so glad to see you back. I’ve told you before, you’re videos are unique and incredibly informative. I really don’t have the time like I used to for vids, but I’ll always tune in to yours. Excellent description on the scent and I’m sure this one is excellent.
Ya Jack personally I like watching you lather and taking your time, if others do not that is why ppl can skip ahead :) I may like that set I will have to check it out. Have a great week
I used Neon Sun last night, it reminds me of something I’ve had 🤔. It is definitely inoffensive and easy to wear. Since I’ve struck out with a few soap scents lately this one was a welcome surprise
Great shave as always bro! Good to see ya on camera again. I passed on this one even though I'm sure it's pleasant. I kinda felt the same way you did. It sounds like a safe scent so I figured I wasn't missing much. Have a good weekend man. Cheers! 🍻
Hi Jack I am growing to love a super close efficient shave I started with the Christopher Bradley b plate and now use the e plate I also use the Rockwell 6s on a 6 plate how would you compare the shave of a stainless steel blackbird I would like to try it please tell me your thoughts
I've learned a lot and changed up my lathering technique just from watching your videos. Also, while you lather, you give your opinion on the soap base and scents which I think helps us and it's unbiased
@@TheVirtualGroomroom You were 100% right though. The v3 is an overall a better soap than Milksteak. Takes a lot more water, it is harder, much cheaper, will last a long time too. Kaizen remains top right now, followed probably by Siero perhaps? I would say Sego is up there too. I literally can't shave with anything else outside the US artisans. I'm obsessed.
Hi Jack, in one of your earlier videos you recommended a company in the UK, Edge Dynamics. Do you remember which video it was where you mentioned this company ? I follow Joseph‘s channel, but wanted to check again what you said about his work. Thanks and happy to see you back here !
I've been revisiting the Karve and I haven't really been able to find the proper angle as of yet. Riding the safety bar at around an 80 degree angle seems to provide the best outcome, but people often recommend riding the top cap more. Riding the top cap provides more blade feel but it doesnt feel more efficient than riding the safety bar and it seems less smooth imo. Any tips?
Great Video Jack🪒💈👍🏼as always Noble Otter is my second choice of soaps Decals Detail I Love it worth to pay just for that tub lol.. Ohh by the way I’m having my Blutt Rasur in my way from Switzerland Pascal made great razor and tolerances are tight great addition to my collection.. @@TheVirtualGroomroom Thanks Jack I’m polishing one right now in my workshop and it’s a fantastic shaver and very smooth, I like how baseplate and rinsing channels are done and in overall very sleek head 🪒… It’s well made well milled I really like it a lot actually of course besides my Karve no question about it.. Great shave, However had you performed three passes you’d get the BBS shave using the B plate. I shave daily and I’ve a full tough beard and the B plate 3 passes gives me a BBS shave. The C plate every day 3 passes gives me minor irritation.
Lathering for two and a half days is a hallmark of your videos, mate🤣🤣🤣🤣. But if you are looking to change things up a bit, then why not try doing away with it?
@@TheVirtualGroomroom if you have more feedback for, rather than against the lathering, go with it. If you are thinking about newcomers, then keep it, as it is insightful. Especially when you point out why you work the lather in specific places but not in others.
@@leehaseley2164 It's not so much the newcomers, it's more my personal enjoyment of the lathering process. I can often feel like nattering during lathering takes away some of the enjoyment for me.
I learned a lot about lathering on my face from you along with Ruds Shaves. Back and forth technique is the bomb for generating lather.
I like your format just as it is. This Noble Otter scent sounds nice.
It is very easy to like, nothing that's too offensive or anything.

You give me high praise, Pete. I appreciate the kind words, I really do.
Watching you lather is my favorite part. It lets us see how the soap base comes together and how the brush performs.
Thanks man, I will definitely keep that in mind.
Love shave that Jack! Noble & Otter are one of my favourites. Good to see you back pal 👍
Thanks Brian, I'm sure you'll like this one.
The Noble Otter base really is a pleasure to use.
I was recently gifted a brand spanking new tub of Orbit and am loving it.
It's brilliant stuff mate, I've always loved what Cody does.
Cracking shave, Jack.
Looking forward to seeing what the revamp brings.
Let's see what happens, I'm not too sure either.

I don't see anyone disliking this honestly.
That brush can take up half of your face, that's great

I think I agree, this one didn't blow me away - it's nice, but it ends there for me.
Good to see you jack. Great shave! My vote is to keep the lather in. Cheers
Thanks Ben, I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Edge dynamics is Brilliant - here's the video of the work I had done by them:

I didn't care for this one but I think you're right in that it's utterly inoffensive. For me the scent strength was extremely low, maybe 1-2.
Welcome back Jack, I’d forgotten just how bad my lathers are 🤣😂
Put in the time and the density will come :D
I actually like watching people lather more than anything else 🤣
Thanks for the feedback, Seth.

The angle actually has to be more narrow than normal - not by a ton though. Riding the top is not how I would recommend using it.

I've found that performing 3 passes to get BBS takes a toll on my skin. Higher efficiency with less passes works better for me.
Do you know if karve would make in the future a Titan Karve run ?
They will be, but most of the initial fulfillment will be done through a waitlist.
Now, given where we both come from, you know how that title could very easily be an insult, right?
Not anymore ;)
