    This was great !! Just figuring out how bad revit really is for rendering. I didn't even try to look into more options.

    Great job! I like the middle one watercolor, clients get too hung up on details.

      Absolutely! You are so right! I'd prefer the watercolor/sketchy style to keep their eyes away from the details, and focus on architecture!

    That's a very nice, non-malignant cliche. Long ago I learned to revit could not until now be viable

    Looks really good. how does your GPU hold up? might need to upgrade if I want to see a lot of details.

      I don't think having a better card allows you to increase the quality. It just allows the scenes to load without delays and render quicker.

    thanks for sharing. I'd like to know where did that specific sample project came from? you mentioned was part of the 2020 Revit release, however it wasn't, Autodesk still using the same Sample project file since back the 2019 release. is this a REVIT LT version of the basic sample file. Thanks!

    • @JosephKim
      @JosephKim  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a bit buried inside the folder system, but I believe that it was in the same folder as the usual 'sample project'

    Newer to Revit; New to Lumion... Can you provide resources about this method (livesync) working with Design Options from Revit? Thanks for the video!

    • @JosephKim
      @JosephKim  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally prefer not to use design options. But I think it depends in which view you pick to sync.

    hello. I want to ask do you have to keep revit open at all times while you are working on lumion ? what if i want to close revit after i have imported the model just to make the computers performance better does this affect my ability to " refresh " any updates in revit latter if i decided to edit the model in revit after closing it ?
    and what if i closed lumion after saving the model . when i re-open lumion to continue working on my scene do i have to reopen revit and click the play button to open lumion? or can i work on the saved lumion file directly ?

    • @JosephKim
      @JosephKim  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't tested out on the latest version, but it seemed to work either way. You can just import the file if you don't want it to be synced all the time.

    Why did my revit 2023 now errored and cannot open after I installed the extension?

    • @JosephKim
      @JosephKim  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not tested on Revit 2023 yet. Does Lumion officially support it?

    Hi it was great tutorial! İn my project when i export from revit to lumion, subregion (roads) doesnt appear. Do you know how can i solve that?

    • @JosephKim
      @JosephKim  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The subregions must have different material for it to show up correctly on Lumion side. If it is, I'm not sure why!

    Hello, The elements in a circular arc after being exported to Lumion are no longer real circles, but arcs or circles composed of lines. How to restore them?

    • @JosephKim
      @JosephKim  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can change the settings to increase the segment count.

    Hi Joseph!! I'm freaking out trying to find a way to import from Revit with layers... Because Lumion now have a way to animate them, they call this animated phasing. But I can't find a way to use with Revit. Do you already know it? I'm surffing into a milion videos and I found nothing.
    I saw a video for dwg export with layers (revit->dwg) but I dont know if it'll work with .dae !!
    ç.ç omg hahah
    maybe it's so simple and I don't know HOOOW TO MAKE IT.
    Thanks for your video anyway!
    (ENglish its not my firts lenguage, sorry for that haha)

    • @JosephKim
      @JosephKim  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think there is a way to piece one Revit file to different layers.

    • @4ndressa957
      @4ndressa957 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JosephKim Huum I understood... So I'll try save different Revit's files, from different views.. (like one with only walls, one with windows.. .) then load all .dae on same lumion file.. ç.ç
      Tks for your help Joseph!
