As a country we've disconnected ourselves from those in the military because of horrible politics and bad leadership in upper echelon and doing so made everyone in the armed forces guilty by association. Or it's just outta sight outta mind. Whatever the case may be, we need to unite for this at least. Respecting, Supporting, empathizing and going above and beyond to make sure their mental health is prioritized as much as their physical health.

My boyfriend gave me this song a while ago and I loved it ever since it started playing. But I've never thought of checking out the video on youtube. And since I hadn't had listened to Brantley prior to that, I imagined him as an old, bearded guy, smelling like beer, with an angel's voice. I can't believe how wrong I was.
