Met a girl, had no idea how much she would come to mean to me until we had to go separate ways because that is how life works sometimes. 20 years, 2 kids and and a whole life later, I still thought about her every day and wondered. I always felt he was the right guy at the wrong time.. but after a few years, I think it was just fun for what it was. I did a lot of traveling, had a lot of fun with him, took me awhile, but I don't miss him like I used to.
Was with a woman for 4 years. She was married. She was unhappy with her marriage and her husband and her were basically roommates. They had 2 kids though. Anyway to me she was my everything. She wouldn't get a divorce no matter how many times I asked. Finally I ended it cause it wasn't going to go any further without her divorcing. I was upset and spent 2 years not dating and just missing her. Then one day I decided no more sadness, no more thinking that way. I decided to be positive and happy all the time and if she tried to creep into my brain then I'd immediately think of something else that was positive. Now I don't miss her that much. It was good but it was what it was. Now we'll see what the future holds for this positive happy man. Hope your future is beautiful too.

I was the right girl at the wrong time. 3 years to the day that we met I became the right girl at the right time. Now we’re engaged with our first child.
@The Boss lady started by him messaging me on Facebook offering support after the guy I was dating at the time killed himself.
Ended with me now being in a 3 1/2 year abusive relationship where he has drained every penny from me and put me in bankruptcy twice. I have to stay til the end of the year because he claims he’s going to help me pay off my big loan (that he made me take) but he’s so incredibly absuive day in and day out but I have no escape.
Turns out he’s a complete sociopath (literally diagnosed with multiple mental illnesses, including narcissistic personality disorder which is not treatable. It means he lacks the ability in his brain to feel emotions or care or empathy toward other people. There’s nothing that can be done). I’m depressed day in and day out and it gets worse by the day but I don’t have another option. I need that loan paid off if I ever want to be able to live my life with my son.
I was told many times by my right one wrong time “if he’d met me first things would be completely different” 18 yrs we continue to be best friends but the connection is there anyone around us sees how obvious it is.. we’ve tried cutting ties and going separate ways but we never last longer than a couple weeks before giving in because neither of us really wanna live life without the other even if it’s just as friends.. ❤️❤️

I love country. It romanticizes a lot of relationships. The reality is the divorce rate doesn't lie. If we all kept in mind the selfless way we felt when we got married to our "Forever loves" "That's not us" "They'll always be my one and only" I don't think when we all get married, that we will become part of the statistic. I married a girl after 7 years, she left me the day after the wedding for another guy, then I met another girl but it was the wrong time because she had a similar story all too recent as well, so it was the wrong time for both of us. After I caught her cheating on me one night, it was just reinforcing the fact that it was bad timing. We still talk and hang out now but she's still too troubled to make any correct decisions in her life. So we currently can't be together because of that something wrong you mentioned.

me and my other half had a one night thing in high school where all we did was kiss watching the light and boats on the bay and the planes flying over. we were waiting for are friends to come back and since then we kept are distance in school cause we didn't think we would have a chance together in front everyone. but we're both happy in a way it didn't happen then I wouldn't have my son with my previous partner and he wouldn't have his daughter with his previous partner. now almost 2 1/2 or so years later were together were engaged, happy with two kids and now one of our very own on the way to add to our happy little family 💜 it's true sometimes it could be the right person but the wrong time god may have some plans for you both first.

This hit me hard. He was different. He wasn't perfect, but he was real. We had an instant connection. We were so similar in many ways (e.g., outlook/goals in life, family oriented, had the same favorite #, same sports interests etc.)... as if, we were a replica of each other. I was there when the world turned its back on him. I was there during his darkest moments. I encouraged, supported and loved him through everything. Chose him when he had nothing (unemployed & in school for a new career) and helped him get back on his feet. Now that he's successful, I am no longer worth his time and energy. As I went through a challenging period and needed his support the most, he didn't care. At the end of everything, I was left with #EmptyWords, #EmptyPromises and a #BrokenHeart. He ended everything (via a phone call, deleted my number, and blocked me on social media) as I was on the road, driving 20+ hours for a new job opportunity.
Less than a few days later, he's "back on the market." I wish him well, but... :(

Here are some words of advice...If you break up and still feel the same way about them (months, or even years later) as you felt about them in the beginning...talk to them. Assess what went wrong in the relationship, whether it was your fault or not...whether you think you did something wrong or you don't think you did anything wrong at all...Talk to them about it. Figure out whether or not you both can make things work. If you can, great. If not, move on. At least this way you know you did everything you could and you won't be asking yourself, "What if".
