What a great place to stay! I was born in Pensacola.. Then we moved to Prentiss Mississippi.. After years of moving around the southern states, ended up in Northern Louisiana. But there's absolutely no place like the Gulf Coast. I love everything about it! 🏖️🩴🌴🌊 Safe travels and happy trails! 🛣️
FYI, the little grey stud sticking out of your fuse box is where you clip your red cable. You clip the black to the spot that says "gnd". Nothing has to be removed to do that. They designed it that way for that exact reason
I am really late reading this but was going to tell her the same thing! I have the same battery in my equinox and it's a pain to replace or to figure how to jump it the first time. 810 dollars to replace alternator and oil change? That has to be 150 dollars an hour! At least!😮

I stayed at my daughters house in Spanish Fort and we went to the Joe Cain parade and several other parades. We also went to Tomme’ store too! I had so much fun!! My first Madi Gras too. But it won’t be my last one!

People within an hours radius literally close jobs, business, doctors offices, etc close early during those weeks. Some you can't get an appointment that week. School also let out early during these times also..

Batteries, brakes and tires are paramount when traveling and during the winter months. Of the three auto part stores I like the place you bought the battery from the most. Since the company that supplies their batteries seem to be the best. Great video!
That looks like so much fun..I love moon pies and Gumbo. Its the roux that makes the gravy, two types dark or light roux, must gumbo uses dark and adds great flavor. Love me some Creole & Cajun food.
That was a fun video. I was not aware of the Mobile celebration. Glad you caught the beads and moon pies and stuff. And glad you’re electrical system is now reliable.
$800 or so for an alernator for a Honda Accord 100,000 miles or so,.... of course i was 150 miles from home...I headed home and hit something on the highway ...nothing major but have to be towed 100 miles home... $1200 of damage..luckily nothing major but a few new pipes and oil pan ....insurance covered most expenses...ughhh...ended up having 3 tows in like 3 days!

@@ChristineMeachum Newer sub here! I wanted to say, since Ive seen you are pretty handy, replacing an alternator is one of the easier parts usually. Ive always done my own with just a socket set and crescent wrench. They are not too expensive, often are rebuilt. Good you are now acquainted with the battery etc 🤞🏼

Hey, love your videos! How do you like that type of water container? I’m about to hit the road myself in a couple weeks (same setup as you basically - suv + dog) and I’m trying to decide what I’ll do for water. Most of the plastic jugs I see online seem crazy expensive for what they are.
My $10 water jug from Walmart has lasted me several years and I love it. I have a separate PUR water filter for drinking water. These work out great for me 😃 Thank you for watching! 🙏🏼

The gravy base is called "Roux". Flour and oil toasted slowly- light for seafood sauce, darker for gumbo/ soups & stews.
Toasted= stirred constantly preferably in cast iron.
