I have gained a great respect for you. It started with your love and kindness towards Chase but the littering rant really confirmed to me that you are top notch! I live in the Ky mountains and appreciate the woods and trails being litter free and in their natural state….but many disrespect the beauty of nature and do like the litterbug in your video. You went through so much extra effort to include Chase. You gave him alot of love and care. I'm so sorry for your loss. Be thankful for the good times and don't think about the end. I always have to remind myself of the love and good times when I think about my lost fur babies.
Lulu is VERY high strung but she calms down instantly once she’s in her backpack on my back. I think they feel calm and safe in it. At least she seems to.

I got our K9 sportsack a few years ago right when they came out. I’d been looking for years for a safe way to take my dog on bicycle and motorcycle rides. We LOVE it and it’s come in handy for way more than just bike rides. It’s allowed me to take Lulu into grocery stores, hiking trails and other places that don’t allow dogs, farmers markets and other crowded places where she could get stepped on or trip people with her leash and even a museum. It’s probably the best accessory I’ve ever gotten for one of my dogs. Not cheap but worth every penny. She gets REALLY excited when her backpack comes out because she knows we’re not just going for a walk. It’s adventure time!

@@ChristineMeachum Lulu is a little 8 pound dachshund chihuahua mix. Definitely cute and probably a lot easier to carry than Chase. Haha. We’re in California if you ever make it out to the west coast! I just recently discovered your channel and have been enjoying it. Get a - I think it is called a chest back pack. They are a smaller version of a backpack so you don’t have that other one swinging all around.
Thank you for sharing another awesome expedition. Good to know about the dog pack! Regarding the litter, be careful bc nefarious ppl are out there. Not to sound paranoid but some may try to bait people of good will, so please use gloves handling anything not yours. Chase is so cute and you're so great with the ninja turtle! Yep, best cheese ever 😋 I wondered if you could put the smaller backpack on your front so it's not awkward weight on one of your hips for mobility and balance? Anyway, thanks again!!

Unstrap all the straps on your pack, place the belt right above your waste and working your way
upward adjust each strap to feel comfy. That is how my hiking trainer told me to fit my 25 lb backpack. I'm wondering if I should get a backpack or stroller for my little min pin. He can do quite a bit of walking, but not long distance.
Oh that is so sweet me and my dog trap are the sameway but i cant carry him he's to big
You can adjust the height above your hips and the tighness of the waist strap so that the weight is supported there, then there won't be so much weight on your shoulders. The shoulder straps can act to just hold the pack upright rather than supporting the weight.
There are auxiliary pads that can be added to the waist strap for comfort. The lambswool type minimize sweating.
If that small pack has shoulder straps, you can wear it on your chest. Just put your arms through the straps.

I’d say to make sure to clip the bag to his collar but Chase doesn’t look like he’ll be trying to jump out to get a squirrel like Lulu has.

as a firefighter, when wearing an SCBA pack, you want to carry the weight on your hips, not your shoulders. i think you’ll find that will save your back in the long run. food for thought. good luck.

Admire you! I hope to be on the road with my pup by August. Taking my time, stopping at places along the way. Destination Clarkston MI to visit my sister. I’m a bit nervous! Hopefully everything will go well! Then when it gets too cold head south.

Tighten your hip belt first, on your hips that will put most all the weight on your hips instead of your back and shoulders you will be way more comfortable and always trust in Jesus Christ he loves you very much. Hope this helps.
