She used Watts to shut off the communications, she used Neo to help get the relic from Ruby, she used her fire tornado to distract team RWBY so Neo could attack. She was even smart enough to get rid of Neo and Watts so they couldn't tell Salem what truly happened. Cinder when she actually plans things out and uses her brain and not her strength, can be very dangerous
Yep, also ı wanna add everytime she wanted to attack someone she attack others who are more vulnerable. To distract Penny she attacked Blake, after a while Jaune and Weiss, to distract Winter she attacked Jaune and Weiss again. This Cinder is the Cinder ı loved from v2-3 and now ı have good reasons to hate her more😊
@@mizel.iArguably, that's a big part of Raven winning her 1v1. Cinder already killed her only leverage (Vernal). So she had nothing to distract Raven with.

It's funny cuz Salem knows Cinder is lying and she keeps thinking she is getting away with it but Salem is only using her to get the rest of the Relics once she has them all Cinder is worthless
Ironwood is basically in the "Not Worth Killing" Troupe: When Salem and Cinder reunite in the Vault's chamber, Ironwood is still lying on the ground where Winter left him. As they catch up, neither pays any attention to Ironwood until he lifts his gun to try and kill them. Cinder glances his way, smugly states "And that's checkmate", and then leaves. Ironwood just drops his gun and head in defeat. Salem didn't even acknowledge his presence. They just left him for dead, so yeah- Not Worth Killing! 😅
I will be furious if they find a way for Ironwood to survive... I loved how he was ignored first by Winter and after by Salem and Cinder. The final word "Checkmate" was a last fuck you to Ironwood. The last word of the song Alive is a nice touch. All of the team fell, so it was obvious, they can't be dead. Adding Jaune and Neo to the mix will make vol 9 very interesting.
I'm positive that Salem knew everything about Cinder's story was bullshit, but she decided to let it slide because she got what she was after: 2 of the Relics and the main threat to her plans seemingly out of the picture.
"No sacrifice is too great" She kind of knew Cinder let Neo and Watts die. But yeah, Salem is the queen of deception, as you said she no doubt knew Cinder was lying.
This was such a great finale and I’m excited for RWBY, Jaune, and Neo’s beach adventure. Petition to have Blake go feral and attack Neo at least once per episode. I need that. I love/hate Cinder so much after this. Like, the woman has caused me so much heartache and pain but at the same time, she’s gotten so much enjoyable as a villain for me to watch. I won’t lie, part of me still wants her to leave Salem and become an independent third party or something. I think it’d be a cool character arc for her without redeeming her (because, that’s never happening). Excited for the soundtrack and V9! You summed up everything for this chapter and I loved it, this is by far one of my favorite reactions to this chapter. My worry is Pietro and Maria especially since Pietro never got to know Penny was alive after her fall, then became human, and died by Cinder which got to me so much I was like not again and its permanent too. When you mentioned the girls becoming Maidens i was like how would Blake become a Maiden then I was like oh god Velvet because she's in Vacuo and Summer Maiden is in Vacuo. P.S. Sorry for the ramble

When I finished watching this volume all alone (this time not just because I'm a nerd, but because of the pandemic as well), I was really waiting for the react channels to "watch this along with me"... it really helps a lot in times like these. But then I saw yours... and as I knew of you it would be emotional, wonderful and absolutely interesting. You didn't let me down. I like watching "with you" more than I like the actual video itself. You are wonderful. And even if it shouldn't be about that, but... you are becoming more and more beautiful. And I don't only talk about make-up. You are stunning. Have a great time until Vol. 9 :)

Rhodes was severely in the wrong in how he handled everything. Doesn't really matter how Cinder handled it considering her age and pressure.
