@@XFizzlepop-Berrytwist Stolas LITERALLY dismissed Blitzo the moment he didn't IMMEDIATELY believe someone who established a deal involving having sex with him to make his business viable could actually love him. If you actually pay attention to the whole series, Blitzo especially has EVERY reason to believe their relationship is just physical. Like even at Ozzie's Blitzo was just confused when Stolas very poorly tried to start small talk. Then he hid his face when Ozzie called out their relationship. THEN when Blitzo takes him home, he offers Blitzo WINE, a movie, and "cuddling". To Blitzo that means "We can get drunk and fuck, netflix and chill, or cuddle bone."
Cause that's all their relationship has been built on.
Stolas NEVER asked Blitzo out on a date. The one time he asked him to accompany him somewhere, he hired him as a bodyguard and flirted sexually with him the entire time, in front of his daughter. Now WE know why he's acting like this. He's a romantic that has been STARVED of literally any romantic affection for his ENTIRE life. And at this point in time their deal is actually fresh, so he's like RIGHT in a sort of love high. But BLITZO doesn't know that, how could he? He's just a "thirsty owl".
WEEEEEEEE know that Stolas genuinely loves Blitzo. BLITZO does not know that, and BLITZO could never infer that because Blitzo hates himself because he accidentally KILLED HIS MOTHER AND MAIMED HIS BEST FRIEND all because he was self conscious about exposing his love for Fizz.
In episode 8 Blitzo literally was shocked he was being serious, when this is literally their designated sex night that Stolas established, and Stolas opened up the conversation by dropping onto Blitzo that he's taking his book back permanently, then flipping to the crystal when Blitzo was afraid the whole day that he was getting bored of him and if that happens he takes back his book, and if that happens Blitzo loses, EVERYTHING. Not just his business, but he loses Moxxie and Millie as well, and IMP is literally the only thing keeping Blitzo together, and they've actually been really positive for him overall.
As soon as Blitzo isn't immediately confessing his love for Stolas, Stolas literally dismisses him, Blitzo is shocked he was being serious, and he asks for a minute to think, but Stolas just walks away and then when Blitzo demands he not dismiss him, Stolas teleports him outside, WHILE I'll remind you, basically saying this is all Blitzo's fault.
Stolas genuinely cares about Blitzo, but that doesn't mean he knows how to navigate choppy waters. Blitzo is rough seas, and Stolas just kinda assumed boating is easy.
Stolas wanted this dramatic, romantic explosion of passion and love, but he failed to understand there's more to this situation than just nullifying their deal. He needs to convince Blitzo that he actually genuinely cares for him, and he's not going to up and leave because Blitzo finds it hard to love anyone for fear they'll realize he's a piece of shit the second he starts to return their affection, then they'll leave him, putting another hole in his heart that he needs to keep people away from just to live.
Oh look, Stolas was unhappy with Blitzo's reaction to his love confession, and literally threw him out, breaking all ties and putting the blame on Blitzo.
How very positive for Blitzo's mental state.
To be clear, I'm on team the two of them becoming a proper couple. But relationships are fucking complicated, and unless one of them has a grand revelation, they need someone else to help them actually figure out what they both want. Fizz and Ozzie would probably be a pretty good team actually. Octavia could probably help, at least help on Stolas' end, maybe help him see how he might be hurting Blitzo and should try to see it from his side? Loona probably wouldn't help, she's not exactly a social flower either.

Even with little to no context i think you read the Stolas/Blitzø situation very well. Lots of people are really firmly more on one side than the other but really they are both at fault and i think you have done a good job at seeing both sides quite well, even from just the songs.
He got it better than most others I've seen, which goes to show how well done the songs were!

Are you sure? TH-cam is full of "Stolas is an hypocrite" compilations since when Apology Tour was released. People seem much more forgiving towards Blitz, also because Stolas is the one who acted in a less reasonable way in Full Moon. And I agree, in this specific case (the breakup of Full Moon) I think Blitz has basically no fault. Sure, he screamed at Stolas, but Stolas wasn't willing to listen to anything he had to say.
Edit: but, yes, most people believe that tgey are both at fault in some way.

@@elora512 If you go to reaction channels, then yes, I also have noticed that most of them sided with Stolas. But if you look for video analysis or other places in the fandom, then there's A LOT of complaining regarding Stolas. From people still protesting that Stolas called Blitz "my impish little plaything" in his grand entrance in ep 6, people saying that he didn't care about Blitz being in danger wheh he set the arrangement, and many other things. The common opinion among youtube essayst is that it's crucial that the series acknowledges Stolas' flaws, too. Most of them believe that both Stolas and Blitz are at fault, but regarding Full Moon they tend to side a bit more towards Blitz than Stolas.
Those compilations I've mentioned are so many at this point. People start from Stolas' line "I don't look down on you" and then make a compilation of scenes where you might say that Stolas looked down on Blitz. Sometimes they also criticize other things, like Stolas' speech about wanting "someone to care" (they say he isn't actually in love with Blitz, because he doesn't really know him, but he's just in love with romance). They also get angry for Stolas saying that he always supported Blitz because all he openly did to show he cared was using pet names in public, while in Ozzie's he couldn't stand up for their relationship. Oh, they also get angry for Stolas wanting Blitz specifically to save him even though Blitz alredy sent the M&M, considering that that day Blitz had to be there for his daughter. It's a lot. Personally, I think sometimes those videos and accusations towards Stolas are unfair, but they're right in saying that Stolas can't act like he's the only one wounded in this relationship, and someone needs to make him reflect on how much he actually knows about Blitz. Stolas is always so focused on his own feelings, he has to learn to consider the other's point of view more.

I think the reason why people call Stolas a hypocrite is because he would often be very demeaning with Blitzo and call him a "plaything" or something like "tiny little imp", and honestly 95% of the time they both interacted Stolas was just very horny and not serious, even when Blitzo showed that he disliked some of the things he did or said. It always seemed like an act and a non serious relationship to Blitzo because Stollas made it look that way, so on the few times Stolas actually genuinely expresses feelings for Blitzo it was once again taken as an act. And in their grand fight when Stolas proclaimed his genuine love it made sense that Blitzo would get angry and felt like his feelings were being played with because Stolas never seriously showed that the relationship was serious to him (he even got embarrassed to be called out on it at Ozzie's), and now he seemingly did a full 180 and told Blitzo he cares about him, so it's like make up your mind ya know, do you want to have a genuine respectful relationship or do you want to call Blitzo 10 times and pretend like you're being kidnapped while you call him basically racial slurs by hells standards hoping to get boned. We as viewers see a lot of scenes of Stolas genuinely caring but they rarely ever happen with Blitzo actually around so of course he wouldn't know about it.

People call Stolas an hipocrite because he tried to fix a situation that he himself created, that he played with Blitz's feelings onlt to then expecting for him to keep on wanting him after freeing him from the deal they had. But the point is... both Blitz and Stolas f**ked up their relationship big time. Stolas was the one that started their agreement over the grimoire. He wanted to have Blitz around, to have him close and try to build a relationship with him, but he didn't know how because he never actually had any romantic experience. But, by doing that, he led Blitz to believe what they had was nothing but a transation: Blitz got to use the book, while Stolas would get him s**ually. Despite the two actually got to develop feelings for each other, they didn't know how to make things work properly. Once Stolas realized what they had was not healthy, he tried to fix it, but, by doing that, he caused Blitz, who has a great insecurity regarding relationship commitment due to his self-loathing, to think Stolas was just using him for being a low-class him to satisfy his desires, leading to him to snap at him viciously.
I'm not even going to say anything about the party itself and I hope no one else does because you finding it out for yourself is gonna be priceless. Suffice to say, Stoliz is teetering on the edge right now

Tbh you actually had a really good read on the situation! It's really complex but I'd recommend Sarcastic Chorus's video on the subject if you're interested in deep-diving once you catch up to the episodes! There's a lot of nuance on Blitz's end that tends to get lost, and a lot of things that fly under the radar for stolas, but people have been pretty good with breaking things down!
You should totally react to alien stage! It's under 30 minutes. It has such good songs and so many things going on at the same time that I'd consider it reaction-worthy.

"Chaz Time" was the first time I actually regretted there being a song in every Helluva Boss episode. (In hindsight it's just funny, though.)
Stolas doesn't just wildly romanticize "Blitzy", he constantly condescends to him and treats imps as lesser generally. He doesn't realize he's doing it, but it's been stinging for Blitz all along. Now that you've been spoiled, I guess it'll be easier to notice that when you watch the full episodes. Which you should, it's practically sadistic that you stopped right before S1E6. Felicity clearly knows how to inflict maximum pain and anticipation on your channel audience. :)

Considering Mathew said that Stolas' voice is so fitting for musicals, I'd love for him to do a reaction to A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. A murder comedy musical which has Bryce Pinkham (who voices Stolas) as the main character. Their Tony's performance was great and I'd also like to mention Poison in My Pocket and Sibella as a few suggestions.

All you need to know is that both Blitz and Stolas made a lot of mistakes and unintentionally hurt each other over and over. They're both in the wrong and in the right for different reasons.
They've built up a relationship with a lot of wants but no knowledge. They've intentionally held a distance between each other that means they don't actually know each other that well but have a lot of assumptions. Stolas is beginning to try to figure out where and why things went wrong and Blitz is slowly getting there too now.. but they weren't on the same page before and that created a lot of tension and more misunderstandings between them.
It's a lot of assumptions, past trauma and different perspectives that neither addresses so they keep rubbing against each other in the worst way. BUT they're beginning to learn things about each other bit by bit and honestly a messy breakup is probably the best path for them to take. Now they're FORCED to deal with their shit.
Just wanted to say that cus a lot of people have a lot of strong opinions about both Blitz and Stolas and what they did wrong and yeah.. neither take is all that great honestly. It ain't that simple.
hi there! the horse thing was pretty funny but mysterious until Vivziepop did an interview (as did the voice of blitz brandon rodgers)
Vivziepop said that one night her and her friend who is also an art director for the show, were chatting on the phone and she was watching Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, and offhandedly said that in her mind Blitz would LOVE the story of Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. Viv immediately moved on but this art director thought that was the funniest most random little detail so eversince blitz has been a "horsegirl"
another tiny detail that made it from the outside world into Helluva is at the Western Energy episode with Norman Reedus, there is a scene where blitz eats a piece of cheese with hot sauce on it while talking to moxie and millie. Thats something Brandon Rodgers did in real life during an interview or something and viv thought itd be great to put into blitz and an episode
