Craziest run of all time. From 6th in LCK, fight through play-ins and groups, then beat EDG and GENG as huge underdogs, to finally win the championship against Faker and T1. Congrats to DRX for proving that miracles do happen. An absolutely legendary story you would have to have seen to believe

"Why Kingen MVP ?" Cause he clapped game 4 & 5. And to those saying "bUt AaTrOx", he clapped Zeus' Aatrox in game 2. Making it so they don't have to ban Aatrox (a 99% presence champ). That alone is insane.

    • @billyjoe8185
      @billyjoe8185 ปีที่แล้ว +18

facts, people tend to forget that Kingen did not play Aatrox in game 2, he almost solokilled Zeus with Camille. He also followed up with E + flash after Deft hit that game winning varus ult onto faker in game 2. Then he proceeded to 1v9 in game 4 and 5

    • @samwisehuluberlu2210
      @samwisehuluberlu2210 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

@@billyjoe8185no. You typed facts about Kingen performance, but you didn't gave justice at all for others.
What Zeka dis in this Finals seems to be forgotten but he was legit fantastic against the main leader/brain shotcaller of the team (not Keria at this time), making him useless and caught on sidelines because Zeka gapped him so hard and pushed so steongly than he was on 2 games behind like 50cs under 15 minutes marks. Also, instead of Kingen, Zeka was NEVER caught randomly on map, Pyosik and Kingen were numerous times on games 4 & 5 when T1 was under water after big DRX teamgfight win. It's easy to find, started game 2 after 15 minutes mark, DRX won them all until the end.
Also, he made insane engages along the way.
He also tried his best with always somptious partitions to make his teammates leave critical situations or teying avoid Oner smite, than no one elde did anything about it.
Also, he played shield for Beryl on baron pit game 4, allowing his support to keep harassing T1 with limits dives.
      Games 4 & 5 1v9?
Talk me about that. Pyosik put exactly same K/D/A on both games 4 & 5 with monsterous engages (besides missed smites, but it's more about collective synergy than only his own responsability), incredible fights and mechanics.
Deft was the only one out of 5 immortal on Caitlyn game 5 and completely shut down Guma in every teamfight and every late game they faced.
Try see what Deft did on every pitfights for objectives.
How Beryl broke them all along playing high limit high risk high rewards, baiting flash, cracking ults before fights on objectives, roaming every lanes to pressure Faker more or stop botlane from scaling.
      Kingen never ever 1v9 anything.
Also, Zeus was better games 1 & 3.
To be precise i l hard lover of DRX journey, not at all T1 fandom.
I was disappointed on Kingen Ornn performance game 3 because he didn't really do well at all, and he had by far best Ornn in the world as he shown all along the journey since RQ where LSB/Dove picked against him, or where GenG were stupkd enough to give him against Sej top and random casual Doran mode.
Zeus was also on 4 kills around 30 minutes on game 5, litterally half kills of his team being dominated everywhere face-off. And you talked me about how Kingen destroyed him. No, the Aatrox pick than Kingen managed like prince bullied him.
Kingen finished on something 6-3-5 kda, where Zeus was like 4-3-4 on losing side. Ans by far the best KDA of his entire team.
I gave game 4 diff for Kingen. That's all.
      Narrative is cool.
Dueing this time, Zeka clearly powergapped Faker games 2 to 5, and Pyosik same way against Oner besides smites.
And Guma, if we leave out his Legolas precision on arrows, his KDA was awful for ADC, like Knight-Dove stats, somewhere to 0 kills under 3 games at 30 minutes marks. Way under his smurffing against every other teams.
Because Deft, despite being behind each games on cs, way way more impactfull and zoning perfect in every skirmishes, particularly late games.
Zeus and Keria were by far the best players on these series on T1 side.
Oner did some pretty good sh.s and ganks, good clearing on jungle, but was mid-average low presence most of time.
Faker was impressive game 1 and early game 2, and on how he managed to avoid annihilation on river game 3 or 4 i believe. Besides that, Zeka powergapped him, caught and killed him easily on skirmishes like 6-7 without being notices because under big picture fight, was way more impactfull on playmaking, and saved the base from Zeus as Kingen did for Faker on tp backdoor.
He also let all his teammates get their comfort pick besides being the main threat to T1 all along.
He made Faker Akalk game 4 completely useless on 0-3-0 being outfarmed and pressurised like lemon under 4 minute mark and before lvl 6. He made them perma ban Akali, afraid than Zeka would really showed what "1v9" means.
But for all who saw Zekali during the World entire journey, it was not for 6-3-5 going on KDA when he took it. It was way messier sh.t.
Also, when you picked around Akali, it's to just destroy the entire rival comp after 2 kills on early and blutcher all the map roaming like t1000 aiming for random rabbits.
Akali feed was wrecking ball on Zeka hands, and way more disastrous to handle than Any feed Aatrox.
We talked about Champ able to one tape frozen heart feed jax on auto-q, not even using flash to dash in it. Not even usin ult. Ults on cooldown randomly coming back every 30 seconds to shut down late teamfight on verge (hello RNG 5th drake fight).
Kingen was fabulous, confident and gutsy. That's fact.
All the rest is factual too.

Its such a sad ending honestly, both of these teams were my favorites through the knock-outs and I knew some would be heartbroken and the others would be on top of the world, but the underdog story won me over. + coming down 1-2 both regional qualifiers against KT and LSB, both higher seeds also to win 3-2 and just qualify for play-ins.
On their 2 hardest match ups of play-ins (RNG 1st one, Mad Lions last one), they were behind at 20 minutes marks. 3k golds 0-3 against RNG 5k golds 25 minutes 1-5 against Mad. Coming back to win both of them.
Group stages coming back from inaugural loss against Rogue to 4 victories in row to clinch QF and tie-breaker to definitely overcome Rogue.
They also debuted on 0-3 k/d on tiebreaker.
It was more than rêver sweeping 0-2 to 3-2 after game 2 inhib respawn and even game 1 throw.
In fact, i really believe with time DRX was better macrowise than EDG all 5 games.
Whatever..they were also down 2-5, 1 turret down, 3 5k golds at 33th minute mark of game 3 against EDG, only having 3-2 drakes advantage, and EDG suddenly plunged in their midlane to attack t3 and first inhib mid, then Zeka flip off everything on one single Renata ult, catching both Scout-Viper carrieq who throw themselves all out like psychos.
There were tons of moments like that.
On game 2 against T1, they were traling 2-6 kills 3-4k golds behind ater early 15 minutes also.
They also managed to come back game 1 of their incredible journey against KT by massive come-back after being down 4-8 10 k gold.
And against LSb they were under their nexus down 0-13 kills/deaths at 27th marks, pushed under nexus with nothing against overfeed rivals + already ocean soul + baron buff ane starting come-back out of nowhere by anticipated Kingen usual stellar flanks and Zeka's godly engages. They almost made the come-back on this one even if losing..
In fact, they started made things messing up gladly then casually throw back some massive concreets after.
      Like they're waited for this.

Greatest Worlds and greatest world's narrative ever honestly. Not sure how anything could ever top this. DRX went from 6th in LCK and just barely making it to Worlds 2022. Then they went undefeated in Play-Ins. They finish top of their group after a tiebreaker. Second reverse sweep in history to 3-2 EDG, 2021 champs. Beat LCK 1st seed GenG who they haven't beat the entire year in semis. Then comeback to win 3-2 after numerous Baron steals. All this with Deft on their team, former high school mate of Faker who debuted the same year as him, to finally get his first Worlds win after 10 years of chasing the title. Like an actual movie, even scriptwriters can't even make this shit up.
Also Kingen (defo deserves Finals mvp) and Zeka have gotten most of the spotlight this Worlds but Deft was very solid. Never tilted, always doing his part in teamfights, rarely ever got help from Jungler and played for the team. They won Game 2 because his Faker snipe. Deft really deserves this championship after 10 years of hard work and never giving up.

    • @samwisehuluberlu2210
      @samwisehuluberlu2210 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

@@tomrichardon4275it's not only that. Since start of game 5 draft, DRX played all along with their minds.
All was in with Lux ban. They said to T1 "we don't need Cait, Cait-Lux combo is broken by us, we have something other in mind, try to read it". T1 replying like "okay, then you want to aim for Varus, very big prio here, 4 wins on 4 selects for all 4 previous Finals game.
Fine. But if you want let us Varus/Cait choice, it's because you have idea under head, so maybe it's trap. So no, not going to get you Varus as you're trying to show us too obviously.
Instead of that, we pick Karma first, it's botlane prio, metaprio, Finals prio. Take Varus or Cait, whatever you want. Guma-Keria will have prio nonetheless and will smash DRX through it".
      And they picked Karma.
DRX minds dancing rn. Azir is highest prio along with Varus of entire Finals. DRX has hit freely first pick with that bait. Good counter against Varus cc/playmaking.
FIRST BANGER. DRX finally took Caitlyn. They win their bait trade. T1 was cautious around this Lux ban and Cait potential trap, they were talking high insurance with Varus winning rate prio Finals + karma first prio push hard on early.
But DRX was happy where things started to get. Azir+Cait gave them massive late scaling already.
+ T1 now wanted to counter Azir problem, only thing is, Faker cannot sustain Zeka's melee 1v1, he knows it. Zeka dominated him with Azir against Faker Akali already game 4.
0-3-0. Faker was rendered useless by Zeka hard farming pressurisation laning phase.
Faker know only viable counter remaining on his hands and with who he's comfortable with his Viktor. 3rd pick.
T1 seems happy rn after first 3 phase ban/pick.
They have massive botlane prio + late cc with Viktor and Varus, good range also. Viktor and Varus can globally contain Azir + Caitlyn scaling.
But, this is where DRX wanted to go all the way since start of draft. They gained another "free" massive main meta prio with Aatrox.
So now we have both DRX solocarries on most dominant picks of their respective lanes out of all patch.
+ Cait. Talk me about scaling.
T1 were already behind in case of coming late game.
But DRX saw even bigger schemes.
With now ultra low Champs like Viktor/Varus, you just have to have kind of Champs able to roam around, mess them up from every side, and overcoming them by their biggest weakness. Immobility.
At this point of the draft, DRX knew it is about to going wild and late. They know they don't have botlane prio, and they never used Kingen to it but he has Aatrox. He's gonna handle whatever Zeus would picked (because they banned Yone on 4th also), even if it's Gwen and it will be good pick for them (their fifth one).
Zeus not gonna 1v9 against Aatrox.
Problem is T1 Zeus is already their main carry by far on KDA.
Only Zeka as usual is waited to dominate Faker laning phase even on early. What he did.
So now, we are DRX who saw bigger picture of late, particularly Deft, who saw how Caitlyn is gonna outscale Varus real wild on very late with 4/5 items.
How they were superior late with Azir + Aatrox combo + Caitlyn slow but hyper scaling.
And now, cherry on cake. We banned Sej, best jungler ever. They come with Viego, insane 1v1 reseter but no synergy at all with Viktor. Viego was like Akali's jungler style.
And then, the final hint for drawing the big picture..
DRX pick both Bard and Hecarim.
Doing that, they just said T1 "your botlane isn't gonna doing sh.t until we're scaling enough, and after that, it's gonna be wild to hold on anything for your comp".
And as expected, Viktor was rendered useless by his immobility ahainst Hecarim power push zoning, Bard roaming. Azir countered and hold on respect Vitkor even more. Aatrox was unplayable until very late when Gwen outerscaled.
But not enough to counterscale botlane massive gap. Where Cait completely overwhelmed Varus. Also picking Karma was only good on 20 span game, such thing as stakes of this particular BO never allowed to happen. Never T1 is gonna stomp DRX under snowball 25 minutes party. Against team unsinkable and coming on momentum to smoke them out..
So on late it was basically 4v5 Karma useless against full scaled Aatrox, very feed Azir, immortal monsterous scaled Cait, all of that to counter with Gwen..
Viktor was ghosted, Varus shut down, and Viego useless since not feeded before because cannot have both solo lanes prios so no ganks no scaling so useless late game..
Hecarim and Bard were chilling on their part, giving all marge for Aatrox-Ariz-Cait lanes to clear violently every late teamfights.
DRX game 5 draft was jewell, like chess game on very good level.

Kingen was sensationnal and more flashy than his usual solid/carry weakside vibe, but this narrative about 1v9 the Finals is BS.
It's because of flashys plays people never talked about Zeka performance on Finals. But he's on par with Kingen. He made tons on massive plays. Give teammates comfort picks on draft before his own..acted like main leader and main carry of his team. Like dominant midlaner of team ready to be crowned World Champs.
And he wasn't alone. Pyosik and Deft were on par with Kingen easily.
It's because of Pyosik engages DRX overcome T1 on every teamfight started game 2 3rd drake until the end. His ganks made Kingen comfortable and ready to scale after early pressured game against Zeus.
Deft was monsterous on all engages late games, and pretty solid on botlane farming giving context against best mechanical botlane in the world, coming as always with Deft signature playstyle who made him so valuable during his entire career and made him successfull legend he was. Being the best under minimal ressources to keep maximum efficiency through late game and decisive teamfights.

Best worlds i've ever seen . Im trully heartbroken for Keria , he did an amazing job, those Lux bindings were incredible. DRX killed a God and it was like watching Goku Vs Vegeta, Ali vs Frazier , Messi Vs Ronaldo. This shit was epic. And the underdogs won , with all they might and justice

Good Job T1 . You guys are awesome. I hope you'll win next year.
5th game was bad pick against Aatrox. GGWP

They would have won if they would’ve banned Aatrox instead of Akali

Despite Gumayusi & Oner being the best of their team, they couldn't carry enough to win this. DRX was better.

I think if Zeus played Yone or atleast banned the Aatrox, they would have won, also Faker underperforming was upsetting to see, if he had just picked Sylas lol

I dont understand why would they ley aatrox to drx when they have no real counter for it, as well as azir. But hey I am happy for pyosik and deft they deserve it!
T1 crumbles again to pressure and fumble the bag by doing a dumb call
