@@dmitriigritiv6543pyosiks champ pool having must bans together with beryl’s meta call made it really hard for t1 to draft in the series, he may have not been the best mechanically but the circumstances of the situation made him uniquely suited to win.

For me, the moment DRX came back from a 0-2 vs EDG after that dramatic inhibiter accident is when DRX proved that they are worthy to be the champions of the year. I can think of many teams who were simply 'stronger' than this team, but I can't think of any other team who can just act like nothing happened and make a reverse sweep after THAT kind of a lose.

as much as i like t1, you cant just hate this '22 DRX, they fought their way to the trophy and they deserved it 🥲 and the storyline is very touching as well

I think DRX is a rare occasion of a team that had great strengths in the coaching staff.
Showing these speeches and all that stuff finally gives us a glimpse what coaches can do for a team.
Usually we can only guess, but here we have legit proof and it makes me really happy!

@@zZzabi its not season 3. 1 or 2 players dont carry teams anymore. everybody has a role to play and those can change depending on the meta. what is most important is all being on the same page allocating resources correctly and being a well oiled machine.
@@greb1527 exactly! the game has evolved into a state where teams that are most coordinated and have great setup of plays and macros are rewarded. its no longer a game where one player can dominate and carry a game, thats just not the current league of legends were in
@@greb1527Nah bro what are you talking about? This narrative bs aint true at all. Kingen and Zeka gapped Faker and Zeus very hard. Guma and Keria were significantly better than BeryL and Deft, but the gap in sololanes was just too big. DRX didn't play good league at all half the time. They even said so themselves. It's just that their opponents were even worse and choked under pressure. And with T1 it's proven that they are big time chokers. This years MSI especially showed that very well.
@@chusay7006 they gapped because drx had a better read on the meta and therefore gave drafting and in game resources to them. Ofc guma will look better than deft because t1 played for botlane whereas drx played for other members since that was the correct read at the time.

i think DRK has the most anime-like run through the Worlds! such mental fortitude to be not tilted after those tilting games and stolen barons! imo they had the best world championship series
imagine how many times objectives were stolen from them during finals and they never tilt. instead t1 was getting tilted because they won't tilt. Insane mentality that made them win everything
I feel like the reason why DRXs run was the best run ever was because they were never clearly stronger than any team. Like T1 or Damwon was literally stomping everyone when they won worlds so everyone kinda knew they were the favourites but DRX throughout the whole run felt like underdogs winning dramatically.
Zeka was unironically playing like the best player in the world last Worlds

The botlane combo was Senna Seraphine, but I think they used Seraphine as a counter to Nami the same way you see Sona now, iirc.

The only league pro event I ever attended live was that DRX vs EDG series and god damn that was intense and amazing
DRX was a team that fell really hard unto each other when things got tough. Like the harder things got for them, the closer they became and at some point it made them unstoppable. And they definitely deserved to win.
best worlds imo. Crazy Underdog story, amazing crowd. it was just too good.

The difference between Faker’s delivery and his less veteran teammates when betting the 3-0 sweep is hilarious to me.
The moment they predicted they'd win 3-0, I knew they would lose. You do not approach a game like that aiming to end it as quickly as possible. That's why they've always lost, they don't play the long game
You can even see how humble Faker is when his teammates bet a 3-0 when Faker is hoping for a 3-0.

DRX didn’t have the budget to retain all of the players. Zeka and Kingen especially earned themselves much larger contracts with their performances at Worlds
Money, 5 world champion, one of them could potentially be the next Faker, and a 2 timers aswell, keeping them in the same team is not gonna be cheap. Even if they manage to stay together they aint gonna win anything, this is a 1 in a million run
Just like SSW, DRX didn’t have the money to keep their players, rumors said Zeka wanted Kanavi to join DRX and this make Pyosik very sad but that just a theory we don’t know for sure what happened it is the Organization fault or the players fault.
