      My niece and nephews would call my parents' dog a "dog baby." No matter how old it got, it was like a toddler that wanted to share time with you. The last dog they had was around the asge of my youngest nephew, so all the kids bonded well with it growing up. We had two other older dogs that grew up with my brother and I, but they had to be put down due to being 18 years old and age related issues. Not only were they suffering from pain and loss of hearing and vision, but also we were concerned how they would react to small children making sudden moves around them or accidentally getting rough around them.

      I 100% agree with his definition when it comes to federal land or state parks where you reside. I have a hunch of where he's at...and I've done the same many a time on the NC side. The key is making it so no one knows you were ever there. Leave No Trace should be the religion of every stealth camper, otherwise we'll ruin it.

      That's how I found this channel because a lot of us watch Steve and it suggested I should watch this too, which is great because he reviews gear and I've been curating my gear for a year or 2 and this really helps me learn about the different brands and products offered. These channels really help others who want to learn to get into these things, as well as providing soothing entertainment for people who just want to live vicariously through them. It's a really cool community.

    Very sorry to hear about Snoodle's passing, Luke. My dog has been there for me over the past 4yrs as I have been on a long recovery after having a colloid cyst surgically removed from the centre of my brain, which saved my life. My family have been truly amazing, but my dog provided me with something else that no human could have given me. I've always known about dogs and the special roles that they have, but this experience took this to a new level. I get it. "Strength & honour" to you and your family during this sad time, and thank you for your great videos during my long recovery.

    Luke, I just finished watching your stealth camping video. I want to offer you and your family my sincerest condolences on the loss of your precious Snoodles. We had our dog, Molly, for almost 21 years! She was a Schnoodle. A cross between a Schnauzer and a poodle. My two boys were in elementary school when she came to live with us. They had children of their own when she passed. I know how your heart feels about your loss. I agree with your comment that there is something wrong with people that say "it was just a dog". Knowing that you all are "dog" people is just one more great reason to watch TOGR. Peace to you and yours.

      What’s utterly mindblowing is that he leaves the cameras. He leaves self-addressed stamped envelopes for the finders to mail him back the SD cards. It costs him a fortune (and is backbreaking hauling all these cameras in), but adds to the authenticity we all enjoy.

      Hey, I know how hard it is to lose a fur baby. My little dog of 14 yrs, I never loved anyone like I loved him becuase he loved me SO much. he died unexpectedly in camp in 2007. We were at a Native American encampmentand the elders came and urged me to get another dog right away I said oh nno, I could never, ever find another like him. but they told me” Do it, because they need you and you need them. There is another one out there who needs you Just think about it, open your heart and see what happens” No way was i going to do that. However one month later my heart was captured by a little dog who needed a home. He was only 4 months old and he lived to be 13. He had a broken heart, I had a broken heart. Only love can break a heart but only love can mend it again. Take your time,, a kitty will find you when the time is right. 🐾🐾

    I am 60 yrs old. This isn't even close to nuclear war. The Cuban missile crisis was the closest, with our bombers in the air. Those who are under 40 will not understand. Their "realities" are based in fantasies of different genders and sexes, and whining about how great Socialism is. But these shouldn't be political, I enjoy your reviews, and your stealths, even though my days of doing this are behind me. As always, another grand video!!

    • @Mart687
      @Mart687 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      With all respect. You are full of it. I'm ex Dutch army and 43. We are very very close to nuclear war. Do you understand the principles of NATO article 5? An armed attack on 1 member is an armed attack on all members. This is a war with Russia in our European backyard right next to a couple of NATO countries. We are very close to getting involved in this Ukraine conflict. Economic sanctions like never seen before. Every western company has left Russia.
      This is not about how close it is to the USA. NATO is a intercontinental alliance. All countries around Ukraine are NATO members in Europe. NATO is mobilizing big time and NATO is way stronger then Russia so nuclear war is imminent. What part do you not understand about this?

    • @azclaimjumper
      @azclaimjumper 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      RIGHT ON! Kennedy wasn't going to allow Russia to place missiles in Cuba that could strike Washington D.C. in 5 minutes.
      Sadly, no one else that has replied to this video seems to understand that the Ukraine Government (Zelinsky), U.S. & NATO are to blame for the situation in Ukraine, NOT Russia.
      All Zelinsky has to do is honor the Minsk 2 agreement with Russia that stipulates NO NATO missiles to be placed in Ukraine.
      Putin is in the same place as Kennedy was in 1962. He's NOT going to allow NATO missiles to be placed in Ukraine that can easily attack Russian cities.
      The Ukraine government has broken their Minsk 2 agreement with Russia & seems determined to allow NATO to place missiles on Ukraine soil.
      Putin is not going to allow that & for the same good reasons Kennedy was prepared to go to war during the 1962 Cuban missile crisis.

    I've been watching your videos for about a year now. I've never really commented before but in this great video, I felt like I should. First off, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your fur baby. Yes, they are just like our children. Second, you are so right about other countries and their "governments"! A lot of the time, the "government" does not represent how the people of that country feel. Props to you for that recognition. Lastly, I gotta say, I love how much you truly and genuinely love nature and getting out in it. It's not hard to see your true appreciation for life. The stealth camping seems pretty cool. I like the place you ended up at. Was that like an "amphitheater" or maybe a place of worship? Anyways, thanks for the content you provide. I enjoy it and learn a lot. Strength and Honor!
