I was quite surprised just how melancholic the film was.

It was quite mature at heart while still keeping the famous Wright - Pegg - Frost humour intact. 👍 Genius end to the trilogy.

I saw it last night without reading reviews or even getting the main plot of the film. I was surprised and I laughed a lot. Did I enjoy the film? Yes I did! ;-) Good soundtrack as well!

I absolutely loved this, equally as much as Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Laughed all the way through and thought the action was really well handled.

I enjoyed it too but feel the ending is the weakest of the 3 film's.

I really loved Scott Pilgrim and feel honoured that I got to see it in the cinema when it was out. A real shame that it did not gain wider appeal and recognition.

It's comedically the weakest of the trilogy (though that's a high bar), but the emotional subplot and the approach to depression was excellent and deeply touching

One of the things about this whole franchise, with Hot Fuzz and World's End, is that it intentionally references itself and makes several jokes which are entirely reliant on you having seen the previous film(s) and to a lesser extent the series that preceded all three films, Spaced, for them to be funny. This is not something that's exclusive to World's End, all of Edgar Wright's films have done this. On top of that I'd argue that these are the most well developed characters in any of the films.

I needn't have worried the boys have done us proud as punch :) I laughed all the way from the first post to the last round. I don't really think it's fair to say that, "like Howard The Duck", nobody loved Scott Pilgrim. with Howard The Duck. Although neither of them did very well at the box office, Scott Pilgrim was very critically successful and is a cult classic. For the most part, Howard The Duck is either hated or enjoyed in a sort of so bad it's good way.

my biggest problem with this film was that the supporting cast were not used to their full potential.u had paddy considine, martin freeman, mark heap, pierce brosnan, the list goes on and yet i cannot remember a single moment in which they really added to the comedy and some of them, mark heap in particular, were used for no more than a single line or two. I mean if u look at hot fuzz timothy dalton was used brilliantly and was one of my highlights for the whole film. definitely the least funny of the trilogy by some way.

i thought the film was dreadful. i didn't really like any of the characters except nick frost, and could not think of a single joke that stood out to me at the end, martin freeman having so much time in this film was annoying as he always is, and the other cast members just didn't bring anything to it.
watched it a second time to think i may have misjudged it, but finished it feeling the same empty "meh" that i did from the first vieing, along with a feeling of annoyance that i actually rewatched it, thinking it would have been better than i remembered.

Seriously? I thought it was pretty awful and I am a huge fan of Edgar Wright's other films (particularly Scott Pilgrim)! Thought it was copying his older films - it's like they were riding the success of their previous films and not providing anything new. It felt empty, the characters weren't developed and I personally only really laughed when Nick Frost put his fist through that glass window, strangely enough. And I'm not usually this critical about films!

Most of Mark's comments about the film are from scenes in the first half- which was not bad. This film fell apart in the second half. Instead of making a traditional comedy, they wanted to repeat the formula from Shaun of the Dead but using robots and it failed miserably.
There were scenes that were supposed to be funny that were so embarrassingly stupid, I almost felt bad for Pegg and Frost. Only they probably wrote it, so I can't feel bad. Paul was much better.
