      +LH. C. You're right. Brian said that in the bonus footage of the DOOL documentary. He said Freddie did the line "on with the show" separately so that alone proves he didn't do the whole song in one take. It's a silly myth without any real evidence that ignorant people tend to believe.

      "ooooon with the show" he said that line by exceeding his 4 octave range.

    • @abdurrafaykhan2333
      @abdurrafaykhan2333 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      really? Because I saw a video regarding Freddie's vocal range and they said that he sang "oooonn with the show" with a C5. If C5 is 4 octave, then I'm wrong.

    • @TeslaMaster2
      @TeslaMaster2 8 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Freddies vocal range spanned from F2 to F6, so the C5 is definitely in his range. I can understand why you'd think that. The 5 is higher than 4, but his range does not at the first octave, that's the territory of people like J.D. Sumner.

    Mercury was so ill, and could barely walk, when the band recorded the song in 1990, that May had concerns as to whether he was physically capable of singing it. Recalling Mercury's performance, May states; "I said, 'Fred, I don't know if this is going to be possible to sing.' And he went, 'I'll f-cking do it, darling' - vodka down - and went in and killed it, completely lacerated that vocal.

    • @Chiliholic
      @Chiliholic 9 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Hustlermetalftw Oh he could walk around the time the vocals were recorded for Innuendo. Just look at his physical performance in the Headlong and Slightly Mad videos that were filmed after the album had been recorded.

    For those of you who don't know, Freddie was just months away from dying when he recorded this song in one take. ONE TAKE. For someone who was so weak that he struggled to live on a daily basis, he sang this flawlessly in one take.

    • @SiBanstead89
      @SiBanstead89 6 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      It wasnt months like some people think. The album was recorded between 1989-90, with sessions booked when freddie felt well enough to come in, the album was pretty much mixed by the end of 90 but they waited till february 91. Innuendo (single) was released in January 1991. Im going slightly mad followed in March. Headlong was released in May and in the uk they were the only songs released to promote Innuendo (THE ALBUM) in the UK
      Note (in the UK) The Show Must go on was the final single released in Freddies life time in October 1991 to promote Greatest Hits II.
      Days Of Our Lives was released as a double A-side with Bo-Rhap in December 1991.
      But all songs were either started (or re-visited) in early 1989 to late 1990, with some probably left over from The Miracle.
      The last songs freddie recorded were
      Winters Tale (last song he wrote and recorded in full)
      You Dont Fool Me (not enough lyrics to make a full song)
      Mother Love (his last vocal)

    Dios mío, es imposible llorar con esta canción. Me llena de sentimiento el escuchar la impotencia que tenía al cantar esta canción, dando lo mejor de él, no sabiendo si era su último día. Esto es tan trágico que el solo hecho de escuchar una voz cómo esta hace que sea un gran placer. Freddie siempre en nuestros corazones.

    No hay muchas canciones que expresen esa calidad de sentimiento de angustia, dolor , impotencia. Freddie Freddie aveces quisiera que sigas vivo pero pienzo que moriste de la forma más digna en el sentido de que no dejaste nunca que la enfermedad te quite tu ser y alma y además creo que todos los grandes artistas que murieron, murieron para dejar huellas que serán imposibles de olvidar

    Empty spaces, what are we living for
    Abandoned places, I guess we know the score
    On and on, does anybody know what we are looking for
    Another hero, another mindless crime
    Behind the curtain, in the pantomime
    Hold the line, does anybody want to take it anymore
    The show must go on
    The show must go on, yeah
    Inside my heart is breaking
    My make-up may be flaking
    But my smile still stays on
    Whatever happens, I'll leave it all to chance
    Another heartache, another failed romance
    On and on, does anybody know what we are living for?
    I guess I'm learning (I'm learning learning learning)
    I must be warmer now
    I'll soon be turning (turning turning turning)
    Round the corner now
    Outside the dawn is breaking
    But inside in the dark I'm aching to be free
    The show must go on
    The show must go on, yeah yeah
    Ooh, inside my heart is breaking
    My make-up may be flaking
    But my smile still stays on
    Yeah yeah, whoa wo oh oh
    My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
    Fairy tales of yesterday will grow but never die
    I can fly, my friends
    The show must go on (go on, go on, go on) yeah yeah
    The show must go on (go on, go on, go on)
    I'll face it with a grin
    I'm never giving in
    On, with the show
    Ooh, I'll top the bill, I'll overkill
    I have to find the will to carry on
    On with the show
    On with the show
    The show, the show must go on
    Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on
    Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on
    Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on
    Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on
    Go on, go on
