This video is for those of you who love wearing black regardless of the temperatures outside.
Why do we love black?
Black is slimming.
Black is chic and edgy.
Black adds personality.
Don’t disregard black only because it doesn’t suit you, you can always wear it as an addition in a form of stripes, accessories or bottoms like shorts or skirt.
Black adds a little contrast or a frame to your outfit, something I often do when I feel my look is too predictable.

Dear Slow down in style. Firstly may I say I’m happy your posts are so well spaced as is pertinent to your title. I have watched your style black in Summer quite a few times now . I have been inspired to do navy instead of black after looking thru my wardrobe and noting I had navy linen dress, pants , linen shirts etc . It has xopened up a whole new wardrobe for me with just a few tweets . ps I’m a cool winter like you but at 67 years young have cool coloured grey hair . Many thanks to you

Very informative and yes the color black is definitely a staple in my wardrobes! As to summer; I also like the natural fabric of silk as well as the others you mentioned however at my age (75 years old) I have become less of a fan of linen due to its creasing so easily, making one's appearance rumpled after a short wearing and I dislike being a slave to ironing/pressing (😊) if can be avoided. JMO!
Hello, if you saw my blog you may know I’m a big fan of stylish women over certain age. I definitely see a lot of silk and poplin used by them. Linen can be a little bit tricky but I’m sure you could rock a beautiful pair of silk or cotton trousers with a linen top🥰👍

I have a complicated relationship with black and white, all my life. Now i am 42 and i still dont know...does it suit me, or not.
This is very interesting. Without seeing your face, I can tell you that white suits you(it looks good on everyone). You just need to do a colour analysis to see if youre more of a cool tone (like me, Im a cool Winter, then you would suit more blue white) or a warm tone (more creamy, ivory white). With black, its a bit hard because it actually suits very few people. But if you like black, I would say, still wear it, just in a form of trousers, shorts, accessories. Or wear a white tank top and black shirt over it, that will soften the harsh nature of black. You could also try navy, a beautiful equivalent of black but suits most people. I hope that helps😊
