I interviewed a lady who had 5 years of career gap due to her marriage. She couldn't answer the interview questions. I wanted to reject her. But, manager hired her bcoz she got recommendation from our colleague. Luckily, she learnt the work well and contributed to the project.
I have seen people with career gap getting hired when market is extremely good.
When the market is bad, I would suggest them to take a 1 year course and try jobs.
Without Referals It might be difficult to onboard.everyone cannot get reference from IT Folks for free.
Even asking for referal on linkedin from unknown people does get expected response.if you can have any idea about any referal websites.pls,emtion it.
