Got a request, My Bucket's Got A Hole In It... I can strum the chords, but I need some leads & maybe a turnaround... I sing the Hank Williams lyrics, but I'd like to learn the Jimmy Page/Robert Plant version for the music, something similar to what Jimmy's doing, doesn't have to be exact... that would be awesome if you could work that up...🖖🏿😎👍🏿

@@RockPopMandolin it was made famous by Hank Williams Sr, but Jimmy Page & Robert Plant recorded a version too...both are on TH-cam... Hank's is in the key of D...the chords are D, G, D, A7, D... that's the progression for the entire song... I can't play the guitar, so I don't know what Jimmy's doing, but I'm assuming he's playing it in D as well...
Well, after talking to a guitar playing friend of mine, he says Hank plays it in E, I don't know what he plays it in, I can't tell by listening, I don't have that skill, but that D chord progression certainly works, whatever either one of them is playing it in...Lol! If it's in E, it would be E, B7, A... I don't like playing, or singing in E, so I'm good with it in D...easy playing & singing...
I just spent the last 2 days commiting all the notes on the fretboard to memory! I never thought I could do it, but I did, & it wasn't nearly as complicated as I thought once I learned the trick... now when you say, 'Just hit this note on the whatever string', I'll actually know what you're talking about! I even learned that pesky B7 chord... I'm pretty much good with whatever key you throw at me now... I can't believe how much easier it just got to understand music! I even just today figured out how to play Needle & The Spoon by Skynyrd by myself! Almost got the whole song down! I haven't been able to put this thing down for like the last 6 hours! What a breakthrough! Now I can go back & revisit some of the songs on here that were a bit too tricky for me to get... 🥳🥳🥳
