I believe the issue with Rennala's fight is that the Smithscript daggers simply dont stagger, I think if you used the "Piercing Throw" weapon art on it it would have staggered them thus causing the shield to break. Noticed in all runs I've watched that the attacks done to them must stagger not just nick them even rolling into them causes them to stagger. All a matter of stagger from what I can see 🤓
👍👍👍 I was thinking almost the exact same thing to use Piercing Throw on them and kept wondering why he kept trying the same thing without trying that before going to 1 hit KO. Made me a little frustrated to be honest lol but was fun nonetheless.
Yeah I didn’t even think about using the ash of war I didn’t know you had to stagger them I just thought they needed to be hit I have never seen that before so next time if something like that happens again I’ll take my time and try different solutions instead of going straight to 1 shot

Would love to see a Electrocharge only run but that would be far far more difficult than Smithscript Daggers only so despite wanting to see it I wouldn't recommend it lol.
The only ones that do respectable damage are the spear and hammer, the only ones that are fun to use are the cirque and axe, the only one that is efficient is the shield, all of them suck to use regardless. I prefer the cirque cause the backhandblade moveset is really solid but it's the worst option of the 3

Like everyone else. Final verdict. Would have replaced blue dancer with arrow’s reach. The range boost is too good to pass up

Looks like they didn't test their weapons before release
there is an ash of war, scatter shot, that boosts these weapons' throw damage and you can bleed infuse that. makes this weapon WAY better

I felt like I needed more raw damage but it probably wasn’t enough to justify not using arrows reach
You were wearing some armor. That lowered the effect of Blue Dancer but even then. Arrow’s Reach had more value
