@neolink8197 I think Lemon Popsicle is better than T.L.A.V. and for sure is worth watching, but it's almost scene by scene identical to T.L.A.V. Only differences is that Lemon Popsicle is set around 1963 in Israel instead of 1982 USA, so all the music is late 1950's/early 1960's Rock N Roll. Like Tutti Frutti by Little Richard is playing at the birthday party dancing scene at the end of the film and Mr. Lonely by Bobby Vinton plays when Gary finds Karen kissing Rick in the kitchen at the Birthday Party (final movie scene). L.P. had several sequels with the direct follow up to L.P. called "Going Steady" which resolves the ending to TLAV/LP. In the follow up (Going Steady) Gary meets and falls for a girl named Tammy where he learned from his mistakes with Karen thus is able to form a relationship with Tammy, but not without some obstacles at first. The Gary of TLAV comes off kind of desperate for Karen to the point of being creepy where as the Gary of LP comes off as being just young and naive with a lot to learn. LP and TLAV are almost identical down to the scenes but both have a different feel and acting style to them. And like I said Lemon Popsical had several sequels that followed up with the Gary, Rick, and David characters (even down to them joining the army).
A somewhat similar thing happened to me in college. While walking on campus, I went up to a girl who worked in my dorm cafeteria and I introduced myself. Later that day, I saw her working in the cafeteria and asked her to go out after her shift was over. She said she had to study for a mid-term. I insisted but immediately regretted it. She looked annoyed so I stopped. I grabbed my food and ate. I was so mad at myself. The reason why I had approached her in the first place was because she had always smiled at me whenever I saw her. I never asked her out again but that experience led me to act less desperate with other girls.

the sad reality is the movie was very fact based, so many girls will go back time and time again to total scum bags that treat them horribly, and stay away from the nice guys, just seems to happen more often, the end of the movie really hit me in the gut when I was young and saw it, good movie
