Wow, thanks for your kind words. Happy I can share what I know with you and the rest of the AP community 🫶🏽
I realized a couple of things: I might master this guru's level of working with Affinity but I will never master his level of creativity. As they say in France: chapeau.
It's great having you in the Affinity community, Rensi. You make the affordable post-processing app a viable option. And you make Buddy everyone's buddy.
Thanks so much for the kind words! I’m happy I can contribute to the community the way I do! 🙌
Thank you, this is fabulous
Glad you like it! You’re welcome, Raquel! 😊
I totally agree with you, and I am glad that I can contribute to and inspire the Affinity community 🙌 Serif is doing an amazing job providing a very capable photo editor to enthusiasts like ourselves 🔥
*Well, Serif is not so small.* They officially declare more than 4 million commercial users around the world. Even if we assume that everyone paid only $50, then this is already $200M dollars. And they paid them more, because they mainly buy several of their products at once or everything. Therefore, Serif, of course, is not Adobe, but they are quite significant already and can afford to hire AI developers.
This was one of my favourite tutorials that you made. Thanks for updating it.
Happy to hear that! You’re welcome, buddy! 👊🏼
Life in the van is probably fun. 🙂 Thanks for the interesting video tutorial.
Yeah it definitely is! Every day is an adventure. If you’re interested I have another channel where I’ve documented bits of our van life. Feel free to check out youtube.com/@RensvanDaalen 👊🏼
Eventually I got some great results, thankyou very much. I would have got there faster had I cleared the default background colour and size.
Awesome! Glad it ultimately worked out for you. You’re welcome! 🙌
👍 great!
Thanks! Glad you like it! 👊🏼🔥
Great Stuff Rensi!! As always! Question - The blur was done so that the displacement would take shape on Buddy's face better, or why exactly? #Thanx
Thanks! Glad you like it! That’s right, if you don’t do that blur-action, the displacement filter tries to bend it taking all details in consideration. We just want the rough shape. Hope this helps! 🙌
THANX for the extra info @@IAMRENSI!! Greatly appreciate it.
Great video! For some reason, when I change the background to be transparent, it always reverts back to the black background. When I save as a PNG, the background is still black. Any ideas?
Thanks! Honestly I’m not sure what’s going on there.. What you could try is to merge all visible layers (without bg). And then select that layer -> Export as png -> Selection only. Hope this helps! 👊🏼
Thank you!! @@IAMRENSI I had to actually select a background, and then select no background and it worked.
Is the process different for the ipad?
I've tried replicating it , but it ain't working
Honestly I never use the iPad version, even though I do have it. But as far as I know the iPad app is supposed to have the same functionality as the desktop app. So it should be possible :)

so che non parlo inglese, ma hai spiegato Malissimo....
That makes sense if you don’t understand English. I wouldn’t understand a tutorial in your language either 😅
