Once again, great to see the "Appearance"-option being utilized. As someone who just recently became a graphic designer, this is a really useful way of giving typography more character! Thanks for the consistent quality content! 👌
Master, thank you! You are awesome. Normally i hate when people not talking in the tutorials but in your videos it is so peaceful with the music taste, so calm and beautiful. Thanks again.
For those that want the halftone effect without the white background, what you can do after following the steps on the video is create a rectangle background behind the text that expands a bit beyond the white box and give it the color/gradient you'd want the text to have, then select both the text and background, open the Transparency window > Make mask > Invert. And there you have it.
Hello! Thank you for the video! Tell me what to do if I want to make a halftone not on a white background? Because if the background is colored, then a white spot appears there. How to get rid of it?

Hi there, is there anyway to remove/change color of the white background generated behind the pixelated text (the last tutorial). Even when I place a colored rectangle behind it, the text has it;s own white box
Really enjoyed your creative tips. Regarding the halftone effect, after following your steps faithfully, I keep on getting a white box around the text and cannot change the colour of the text either? The problem could be I am using CS5 Illustrator?
@nobudesign Thank you for responding to my query, it worked, will still keep trying though, always a challenge working with an older version of Illustrator to get the results of newer versions. 👍
I have an error in my Minus Back, instead of placing the effect on all letters, the effect only applies to the last letter. Which would it be? Thank u! From Brazil 🇧🇷
Hey, i would like to ask something stupid. When you make auto textbox, how do you make the space on the bottom text have the same space on the top text? Mine have too much space at the bottom text that make the box doesnt fit the text.
@@tahukripis Sometimes it depends on the font used, but you can do 2 things to make the box fit. Firstly, you can apply the 'Outline Object' effect to the text, or secondly, you can use the transform effect to move the box
At the beginning of number 3 it says "Compound Shape" in the appearance panel. What is that and why does mine just say type, and then nothing works properly?
ADSOFUIDJOAISJ BRO I NEED YOUR HELP. THE PART ON OW TO OFF SET YOUT TEXT 3:45 when I press "offset path" NOTHING HAPPENS. THE LITTLE WINDOW DOES NOT APPEAR

It's not often I learn new Illustrator techniques that I didn't already know; glad I stumbled onto this video while searching for something else.

I love your use of the appearance panel, these tips are super helpful! Thank you!
Mindblowing! I need to apply those effects immediately.

MY ILLUSTRATOR JUST CRASHED
2:05 you had to say that the text is compound shape
It all great, but i can't replicate text highlights :(
❤❤❤ wat is text called
What’s the name of the font used in text highlights, number 3 is not working for some reason it only applies effect to the last letter
The font name is Ohno Blazeface
fonts.adobe.com/fonts/ohno-blazeface
Turn your text to compound shape first, just like the second trick on gradient text 0:41
For the halftone is the white box supposed to be around it or did I miss something
why i cannot make the half rone effect
Make sure to convert your text to compound shape first
✨
What font is this?
fonts.adobe.com/fonts/ohno-blazeface
Don't you hate it when you follow the instructions but it doesn't work the same way. It's only woking in the last letter and not properly
sameeeee
You need to turn your text to compound shape first
Oh God, so many tricks sir. 🥲🌹
