Two of my biggest compliment getters from woman consistently are La Nuit De Lomme and Layton. I live in a small midwestern city in Missouri, and not a lot of people compliment other people on their fragrances normally. But Layton and LNDL have gotten me several very earnest and enthusiastic comments, so much so that I've been asked several times, by even strangers, to give them the name to put in their phone so they could buy it. That just doesn't happen around here in my experience, so it's noticeable. Women just adore those 2.
YSL's Nuit De L'Homme, Viktor Rolf's Spice Bomb (especially SB Extreme), Side Effect by Initio, and Prada's Luna Rossa Black are always going to come up over and over in discussions about sexiness in cologne. I think Layton, Versace Eros, there's a few other ones I'm forgetting right now you basically can't go wrong with in that area. A lot of people hate on Dior's Sauvage, but really, it's much like Eros and Black Opium, they get popular and you can't go wrong because it just werks. Like I would never call Black Opium "basic" I've smelled a shit ton of basic ass scents from Gucci Guilty to Bad Boy and all them play it so damn safe and formulaic to outright borderline corporate it's nuts, but just a few like Black Opium and Luna Rossa Black, man I'd see that as such a Harley Quinn and Joker type of bad girl/bad boy vibe, totally unique, not basic at all, and popular because it works so well. Not Black Opium, but most of what I just listed is literally inappropriate for any situation outside the club or dating imo.
Omg girl. Im obsessed watching your parfum & colognes reviews. Yes, yes, yes! You give an honest opinion to theses fragrances &i love how you describe the scent, so on point. With that said, im going to start collecting fragrances again :) i used to a few years back. Watching your reviews, points me to the elevated way of looking for signature scent. I LOVE oud wood so far! :)
Agree with Darlene on Prada Black. It's a compliment magnet in my experience. It's such a unique scent, yet very mass appealing, dark, sensual and most women love it. 🔥

It's dark, sensual but stays close to the skin and makes the woman want to get closer. In my opinion it's the best from the Prada Luna Rossa line.

There's also clones, tbh you can often get away with it in some areas like Al Haramain or Lattafa where it's like 99% the same fragrance for literally just 10% of the price. Like my bottle of Lattafa's Oud for Glory smells so nice and it only cost me thirty bucks, which I can't even tell the difference from Oud for Glory by Initio that literally retails for like $330. And I swear I smell it in places like Walmart and then remind myself oh it's probably the Lattafa clone. Although Jesus even the clones getting expensive these days? Just the CLONE of Baccarat Rouge 540 is costing upwards of $60 for a small bottle, it's just nuts. There's a dossier copy of it that's great but it's 50ml for $50, which is crazy to me that's an expensive af designer scent. Bulgari doesn't typically charge that for their 100ml bottles ($100) on ebay. I can get Prada Luna Rossa Black for the cost of a Dossier clone. Al Haramain's Red Oud whatever it's called clone of Baccarat Rouge is going for $60 on ebay now Christ. But anyway, yes go for Lattafa and stuff like this if you're on a budget. Like you can get Dolce and Gabbana The One EDT for $40 online for a 100ml/3.4 oz although ironically some of the cheaper stuff like Armani Code edt and The One edt seems to get counterfeited pretty frequently so you need to know the difference between the fakes. The barrier for entry to colognes is not that steep. In point of fact you probably end up spending more money on Axe and Old Spice per year than you would on colognes unless you overspray and/or buy really pricey bougie as shit stuff like Creed or Amouge or something, or just blast yourself with 14 sprays minimum on Code Parfum. Otherwise when you do the math, a lower end $40-60 designer bottle or Lattafa clone for $30 end up costing much less than Axe. You'll have spent $30+ on Axe cans smelling like a teenager by the time you've ran through the 50ml bottle.

Ambre Nuit is my favorite scent in life so far, behind Herod, Uomo Intense, and Lomme Ideal EDT. When it's my time, if I'm lucky, the last thing I will smell in life will be Ambre Nuit. It's just that beautiful, yet perfectly unisex. It's a heavy hitter.

You don't really smell the pineapple in club de nuit intense. It's a mix with citrus and the other half of the scent is heavy musk. So don't expect a fruity smell.

La nuit de lhomme is the fragrance that got me into fragrances back in high school. Still one of my all time favs, but I feel like they went thru a reblend like 5 years back
I've started associating creeds silver mountain water with the my daughter's Johnson and Johnson body wash it's the exact same scent. I layered it before and had killer performance. But it's definitely the same notes in both produce and fragrance.

@@stevenmitchell3705 yes! It’s pretty widely regarded as one of the Aventus clones. I’ve tried both on the same day and they were similar, though Explorer opens with more Bergamot than Pineapple. The dry down is also where they take different directions. I haven’t tried CDN myself though.
I agree with what you said in the beginning of the video...I have a big group of guy friends some of whom wear fragrances. I noticed them but they all smelled like car salesmen to me. One night we were playing pool and some other guys in the bar came over to challenge and one of them smelled AMAZING. I asked him what he was wearing and told him it smelled really good. It was Jovan Musk. The $12 Cologne from the drugstore. It really did smell super sexy and all my friends couldn't believe I'd said anything because I had never commented on any of their fragrances before. Then, they said women never commented on them. I'm sure this is why. I recently asked a guy at the gas station what he was wearing and it was Ralph Lauren Polo Red EDT. It smelled beautiful on him. He told me women always tell him how good he smells. He said he used to wear something else until his ex wife bought him the Polo and then women started complimenting him. He even called when he ran out, to ask her where she bought it, so he could get more. He's been wearing it ever since.
Great list. Naxos is my next must buy. Side Effect is absolutely addictive. I didn't "love it, love it" to start with but it grew on me fast and now I have to stop myself from wearing it to save it (due to cost).

Lately, I realised the opening of CDNIM could be a bit strong and harsh for some people, so I felt less confident wearing it during the first 1hour, but she started straight away with it, and apparently she likes not only the dry down but the opening too 😉
For me I have the same feeling because I only did 2 sprays (Behind both ears, Felt my normal 5 was too much for this) and when I went out I had people say that they could smell my cologne (CDNIM) from pretty far, especially when they started walked into the bar/Entrance which is probably 20-25feet feet away. It definitely announces itself or at least for me it does and what I like to say "Clouds the room". I'm someone who likes my cologne to be discovered since I don't want to upset people with strong and possibly upsetting scents to some but also want people to walk by and be like "Damn you smell so good". So I felt kinda bad and less confident on wearing it, but they said It's fine because it smelt so damn good. Guys and Girls both commented on it.

It depends on what you like in terms of notes. These are three different fragrances. Side effect is boozy with vanilla and wood. Oud Satin mood has violet with rose and Oud. The Oud in OSM is not skanky at all. It is beautifully blended. PDM Kalan was hate on first sniff, but it grew on me. I bought it for my husband. It has that predominant Orange, spicy scent. It is strong and I only recommend it for winter.
Have you tried MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver? I’m wanting to buy a bottle for summertime. I love the blend of notes in that fragrance. I’m also happy to see she did not grab Roja Elysium. That was my biggest let down so far buying niche fragrances. Does it smell good? Yeah it smells okay.. but the performance of it genuinely sucks. Like 3-4 HRs on skin with 8sprays. I don’t think it’s worth the hype. So I was pleased to see it skipped over haha. You should try Gentle Fluidity Silver though if you haven’t I think you would love it.

check out harman detour noir. its like $50 but smells like 95% similar layton. that's what I ordered when I heard they had to reformulated layton for IFRA standards (I think the had to lower/remove one of the old ingredients because it was discovered to be a carcinogen)
Honest question: can a woman pull off armaf CDNIM? I wear the Armaf Club de Nuit Sillage just fine and I enjoy it but I've been hearing that the CDNIM can be too strong for some people?
To me the toilette smells a lot fresher and nicer. The parfum is more harsh. Almost like a cleaner. The dry down is great though. But go for the toilette

Between initio side effect, pdm kalan and mrk Oud satin wood which would you pick for someone buying their first niche fragrance?
It depends on what you like in terms of notes. These are three different fragrances. Side effect is boozy with vanilla and wood. Oud Satin mood has violet with rose and Oud. The Oud in OSM is not skanky at all. It is beautifully blended. PDM Kalan was hate on first sniff, but it grew on me. I bought it for my husband. It has that predominant Orange, spicy scent. It is strong and I only recommend it for winter.
Have you tried MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver? I’m wanting to buy a bottle for summertime. I love the blend of notes in that fragrance. I’m also happy to see she did not grab Roja Elysium. That was my biggest let down so far buying niche fragrances. Does it smell good? Yeah it smells okay.. but the performance of it genuinely sucks. Like 3-4 HRs on skin with 8sprays. I don’t think it’s worth the hype. So I was pleased to see it skipped over haha. You should try Gentle Fluidity Silver though if you haven’t I think you would love it.
The extrait/parfum performs very well for Elysium.

check out harman detour noir. its like $50 but smells like 95% similar layton. that's what I ordered when I heard they had to reformulated layton for IFRA standards (I think the had to lower/remove one of the old ingredients because it was discovered to be a carcinogen)

To me the toilette smells a lot fresher and nicer. The parfum is more harsh. Almost like a cleaner. The dry down is great though. But go for the toilette
