When it comes to skin chemistry playing a role, in my experience the body wash a person uses in the shower makes a huge difference in how a fragrance will smell off your skin. I started using a body wash advertised for women (i am a man), and literally all my fragrances smell better off my skin. The fragrances dont just smell slightly better- they smell significantly different with the change in body wash.
I have a story about La Nuit's performance people might find interesting: Started out slow with about 4 sprays and ramped it up as I got used to it over the first few days. One day I put on about 8 sprays before going out, which based on peoples experiences didn't seem a lot, 20 minutes later I'm standing at a cash register 10 feet away from the cashier and she suddenly turns to her coworker like "..do you smell that ? Smells like cologne in here" as they slowly turn towards me. I wasn't even moving around and there was no one else they could've been talking about. Not saying that everyone is wrong about the performance and projection, what I am saying is to not underestimate the first hour of its lifespan, like don't put on 10 sprays before a date lmao
I found Dior Homme 2020 in Ulta with my daughter, it blew me away. After I found Melissa’s channel and her recommendations of La Nuit de L’Homme, and Ambre Nuit I bought decants and ultimately bottles of each, they smell so great thank Melissa for the heads up.

I sprayed it on around 7am. Around noon, and I couldn’t smell it anymore, but at 5pm, I was walking towards a co-worker while she was walking out the door, and I was maybe 3-4 feet away from her and she immediately told me how incredible I smell. So, if you are nose blind, it doesn’t mean no one else can smell a scent. And PDM fragrances has become my favorite fragrance house, they have so many compliment bangers. Oh, and appreciate the Givenchy Pi love, it has been one of my favorite designer fragrances in the past decade.
Great list. Dior Sauvage EDT EDP are guaranteed compliment magnets. I would also add Mancera Instant Crush, Montale Intense Cafe and Arabian Tonka, MFK Oud Satin Mood, Armani Code Profumo, Chanel Allure Homme EXTREME

Idk what it is but I LOVE a unisex or masculine scent profile. I remember when I got Oud wood for the first time, I put one spray on my sweater, and I swear literally 1 week later my whole room was smelling like that perfume. A friend had a fragrance like that where literally just sitting on his bed made all my clothes smell like that.

We have very similar likes in notes. Every fragrance you named it was as if I knew it was coming. A+++ This is why I have to get my hands on Salt and Pepper. It’s the only one I haven’t tried. Cedrat Boise smells like cigarette ashes to me though. 😢
Here's the thing about Naxos: I keep hearing great things about it. I'm in the market for a tobacco fragrance and it seems right up my alley. I got to try it on a tester strip once last year and it was amazing though i didn't get much tobacco from it, still good BUT when it dried down it smelled exactly like Le Mâle edt. I thought it was just me but Le Mâle was indeed listed in the "reminds me of" in frangrantica. I'm really conflicted, I guess I need to test it again properly.

I'm 21 and bought an older bottle secondhand- the scent is nice but makes me smell so mature that even if it did make me irresistible to other noses, to mine I smell so much like an auntie that I can't bear to wear it out. al haramain amber oud tobacco edition is a literal 1:1 copy of tom ford tobacco vanille for like 1/5 of the price. It's such a good copy I dont really think there is any reason to buy tobacco vanille over it unless u just want something from tom ford lmao

I don't like people like you who mislead others by using catch words like "GUARANTEED". It's very misleading and you should know better. No one should believe they can spray on a magical potion, walk out in public, and wait for the compliments to roll in,,because frankly, the chances of a complete stranger walking up to you and saying you smell nice is super slim.

The fragrance that gets me alot of compliments, ive been stopped by men and women is Bois Imperial. Its crazy how many people love this scent.
