Big Speckled Trout Jetty Fishing Grand Isle Louisiana

Went out to the Fourchon barges a lot of boats even on a Wednesday had a couple bites but not much happening for us.Decided to go back to the Caminada Pass jetty was using live shrimp under a cork maybe 2 2 and a half ft you had to get past the mangroves ended up with around 6 nice specks before we ran out of live shrimp on had 20 in the morning used live croakers too but no action on the croakers.Seen a guy next to us caught a 4 pound trout and some redfish.We left there got more live shrimp went back to the rocks behind the island and picked up a few more.It wasn't a limit day but personally I don't need a limit id rather catch quality over quantity anyway.We caught all kinds of species just small except for specks.#spckled trout grand isle #grand isle specks #caminada pass specks #jetty fishing speckled trout #big speckled trout #mangrove snapper #louisiana speckled trout #trophy speckled trout #monster speckled trout

Rougarou is from Houma but I’ve never fished grand isle but looking to stay at the rooms they have by bridge city any suggestions on were can I catch some specks n reds bud would gladly appreciate it

This Rougarou from marrero lol... I usually make a day trip and don’t spend the night so I dunno .... and for specks I’d say the beach and reds target points and cuts off the road unless you’re in a kayak

Fish the rocks in caminada pass ... big bull reds in the pass... reds you’ll just have to find some .... I’ve been out the loop for a while so I’m guessing
