It is important to mention that none of us are native English speakers.

The same thing with some verbs followed by adjectives for example You look beautiful or good. Emma I have a question about compound adjectives, which always confuse me especially when we talk about the active or passive meaning. for example A hard-working man, here the expression has an active meaning. A well-behaved man, here it is a passive meaning. The question is: why we do we sometimes use pp and other time present participle since the " man" is doing the action. The man is working hard The man is behaving well.
