To : destination/direction, time, prefer, end point For : benefits, duration of time, helping someone (favor), function To & for : reason/motive To when motive/reason is a verb For when motive/reason is a noun
•Use of TO 1.direction(I walk to shop) 2.limit (The water is up to sea level) 3 time (The shop is open 10.00 to 11.00 pm) 4.preference (I like coffee to tea) • The use of for 1.help( I help for my grand mother) 2.benefit(water help for our immunity system) 3.past action(I have been waiting here for 30 minutes) 4.functional use (Its used for drinking)
Extremely close, but several important corrections: 1. “I walk to shop” should be “I walk to *the* shop” because without the definite article, “to shop” becomes the to-infinitive verb. 3 “The shop is open 10.00 to 11.00 pm” is acceptable but “The shop is open *from* 10.00 to 11.00 pm” is more natural. 4. “I like coffee to tea” is incorrect; it should be “I *prefer* coffee to tea” or (if you insist on using “like”) “I like coffee *more than* tea.” • The use of for 1. “help” (if an object is present) requires a direct object, particularly if “for” is used. Also, “grand mother” is one word so it should be “I *help my grandmother for* my grandfather.” 2. Again, if *help* is used and there is any object, then there must be a direct object. “Water helps our immunity system”. Other than those things, you did well.

Hello Emma, very interesting your explanation about the prepositions "To" and "For". I should desire to know why it is used the preposition "To" or "For" in the following expressions: 1) It is difficult for me. 2) You are so beautiful to me (I listened this expression in a song).
You are a very talented teacher! You are funny, energetic, happy, and amazing! Thank you so much for clarifying this topic. I get confused very easily in those. I prefer learning English 🇬🇧 to learning French 🇫🇷. (lol 😆 though French is my mother tongue 😜) I prefer tea to coffee. Sorry for all the coffee lovers! I can't help loving 💕 tea! I prefer living in Canada 🇨🇦 to living in Britain 🇬🇧, despite the cold weather ❄️ 😂!
● Use of TO 1)Direction { I walk to office.} 2)Limit{ There is no water up to sea level.} 3)Time{ My shop is open 7:00 to 9:00pm.} 4)Preference{ I prefer chocolate to ice - cream} ● Use of FOR 1)Benefits{ Carrot is great for your height.} 2)Help{ I help for my mother.} 3)Past Action{ I have been so late for atleast 10 minutes.} 4)Functional use{ Its used for dancing.} I hope you like it my examples emma😁
I prefer Physics to chemistry and mmmEnglish to English grammar books and it was a great lesson as always btw Can you please explain how to use the phrases "For that matter" and "in the first place" I searched online but still I don't know exactly in which situation should I use these phrases btw why did Taylor Swift say in the song "You belong with me" instead of "you belong to me" and thank you in advance😊😊
Great examples Anuj! I'll try to make a lesson explaining those two phrases 😁 "Belong to" means ownership. Eg. That car belongs to me. "Belong with" means that things should be together - often used in a romantic context. Eg. You belong with me.
Anuj Arora - Belong can also be used with “in”, meaning appropriateness. Ex.: Bad behavior doesn’t belong in a classroom. / Corruption doesn’t belong in government. / Politics doesn’t belong in religion or vice versa. Hope it helps!
one ib - Did you mean “ be long” (2 distinct words?) If so, I don’t think it means anything. Now, if you meant “belong” (together as an only word), it means “ You are an ideal person for me to be with”, or “We belong together”. If you say that a car belongs to you, you’re saying that the car is your property. If you say that someone “belongs with you”, your saying that that someone’s ideal place is by your side, not your property. Ex. A child belongs with his/her parents. She/he is not their parents’ property, but a child is generally much better off being with his/her parents. Hope it helps!
Emma, you´re just delightful, it´s always a pleasure learning with you, besides we can see the same lesson over and over to practice or better understanding, thank, thanks and thanks again for your dedication and skill : ) : )

Hello Emma, very interesting your explanation about the prepositions "To" and "For". I should desire to know why it is used the preposition "To" or "For" in the following expressions: 1) It is difficult for me. 2) You are so beautiful to me (I listened this expression in a song).
Direction/destination, time, preference, and limit

Hi, thank for clearing my all doubts about the use of' for' and' to'. Thank you onceagain.
You are a very talented teacher! You are funny, energetic, happy, and amazing! Thank you so much for clarifying this topic. I get confused very easily in those.
I prefer learning English 🇬🇧 to learning French 🇫🇷. (lol 😆 though French is my mother tongue 😜)
I prefer tea to coffee. Sorry for all the coffee lovers! I can't help loving 💕 tea!
I prefer living in Canada 🇨🇦 to living in Britain 🇬🇧, despite the cold weather ❄️ 😂!

Can i seek help
I prefer Physics to chemistry and mmmEnglish to English grammar books and it was a great lesson as always btw Can you please explain how to use the phrases "For that matter" and "in the first place" I searched online but still I don't know exactly in which situation should I use these phrases btw why did Taylor Swift say in the song "You belong with me" instead of "you belong to me" and thank you in advance😊😊
Great examples Anuj! I'll try to make a lesson explaining those two phrases 😁
"Belong to" means ownership.
C. Thank you it does
Does it sound correct ''you be long with me''?
one ib - Did you mean “ be long” (2 distinct words?) If so, I don’t think it means anything.
