The best tactic is to throw a quick jab when you are about to be grabbed. The opponent will stumble backwards a little, and you can then grapple or combo them.
The fact that this Def Jam is created at 2006 but the graphics was kinda nerfed, poor graphics, no cutscenes, some of the taunt voices are missing. 2004 def jam is more realistic overall

@@Gloryboyquan never played on Vita, but maybe when you grab, use analog in other directions, or arrow buttons in other directions!.
