Hi Lindie, I've been learning Thai for a couple of months already and It's so fun, please don't give up I'm rooting for you. I know there are so my things to learn as a beginner especially reading which can feel overwhelming due to the number of rules in tone and writing but I promise it's so fun and worth it. I started with Thai pod for the alphabet as well. However, I then decided to take classes on Itaki to properly learn how to read as there are so many things like tips and tricks that a native Thai speaker can give you that many videos do not mention or you would have to discover on your own and may not be obvious and make Thai a bit more overwhelming due to the limited resources that may be out there. I'd like to give you a couple of tips as Thai beginner and wish you the best of luck in your Thai studies สู้ๆ. Please do not overwhelm yourself you can do this!!! TIPS :) 1) To be able to properly pronounce you need to be able to read and recognize all letters, therefore in my opinion, I believe learning the whole alphabet along with names of tone marks is the 1st thing to tackle. 2) Thai romanization to English is honestly one of the worst I’ve seen. I recommend you instead create your own sound assimilations with other languages. As a Spanish and English speaker and Korean and French learner, I have been able to recognize some of these sounds and translate some of these languages’ sounds into Thai (especially the vowels) 3) Once you have mastered the alphabet you should move then to learning the class of each consonant. Ore you could also do this at the same time you learn all consonants but sometimes it may be a little overwhelming due to the number of consonants 4) After you have mastered these you will be able to learn the tone rules much faster as depending on the class of the consonant and type of vowel these change. It’s all about consonant class + ending sound. (just as a heads up, the tone mark overwrites the tone rules) 5) You’d need to get familiar with the many different ways that that can be written (different fonts) that are extremely common. For example: “น” can be written as “u” in a modern and quite a common font (I left a link to help with that in the resources below) I’d like to share with you some of the best resources I have found on the internet that has helped me improve much faster overall. 1) www.thai2english.com/ (The best and my personal favourite, I swear this is the one!! and I feel so lucky to have found this resource and would love to share it with you and the language learning community) This is a Thai English and vice versa dictionary but most importantly if you are still not able to recognize a Tone you can just type the world and it will help you identify the tone, it does have romanization but I just ignore that and use what I need. Hi Lindie, As someone who lived and worked in Thailand and learned the language through immersion and TH-cam, its so exciting to see you doing self study of the language on your own! I found that BYU channel has some great videos for commonly used phrases that you will actually use in Thailand. I found that listening a bunch really helped me with tones. I know it can be difficult in the beginning but I found Thailand and the Thai language to have been such a blessing in my life. Thai people are so sweet and lovely and you can make some wonderful friends when you are able to communicate. I spent a month with a 70 year old Thai lady traveling together and meeting all her family and exploring the southern part of Thailand staying with locals because I was able to speak Thai
As a subscriber and Thai learner myself, seeing this video makes me so happy! Thailand not only has such beautiful language but also wonderful culture. There are also very well resources on the internet, such as Thai dramas and Thai novels. It is not easy, but definitely worth it. I can not wait to see you enjoy this language! Have fun, Lindie!
I started learning Thai about 6 months ago :) For the alphabet I used Thaipod101 in the beginning but for me the book „Read Thai in 10 Days“ worked so well! I did not manage the whole book in 10 days, but the way the letters were grouped and everything was explained worked so well for my brain. For tones I now have a little image in my head! As for Tones, BananaThai has a good explanation about Tones that she just uploaded recently on Thai :D Anyway, excited that you started Thai as well!
There are so many great fun Thai TV series, too! I literally was off work sick today and rewatched Theory of Love (available free on TH-cam with subtitles) in its entirety, it's one of my favourite Thai dramas. I really recommend it to anyone!
7:51: "H̄nụ̀ng s̄ạpdāh̄̒ mī ....WHAT?" Love that part. Made me smile. I'm learning Thai too. That frustration of learning this beautiful language is totally so relatable. :D Keep up with these Thai beginner videos. Those 9 minutes flew by. You rule, Lindie.
This is really great like always. When I saw your smiling face, I feel myself so happy and motivated. Good luck in this process. I believe in you. You can do everything what you want
Just dropping by to thank you. I've been learning Finnish since 2015. I've visited twice so far, but I wasn't confident in my ability to speak it. But I finally started italki lessons about a year ago now, thanks to seeing one of your videos about Hungarian (up until that point I had been really stubborn about learning everything on my own), and last week I bought two One Line A Day journals to try to practice my Finnish and German with. I still find myself using English far more than I should during my lessons, but I'm trying. So thanks again for being an inspiration.
I started learning thai back in late 2019 bit I was not consistent 🥲 I've been dropping and coming back to it all throughout these more than 2 years. What helped me is that I learned the Thai alphabet entirely right from the beginning ( with the YT channel Kruu Waree all about Thai). I liked this Thai song called Everything (Thuk yang) by Scrubb and I used to copy it down every day for fun and I wrote the alphabet every morning too. I also learned the reading rules from the start. It paid off because now I don't need transliteration to read Thai anymore. Unfortunately I focused to much on the writing system and didn't practice my speaking/listening enough.😩 Now I can write and read but I can't speak. 🥲 I'm better at listening though because I watch Thai series a lot😅
i really want to learn the thai alphabet but everytime i actually start, i get so easily discouraged :') watching series indeed help a lot with oral comprehension and learning words, thats how i know all my thai from (thanks to bls iyky lol)
I am Thai and I’m glad to hear that you are re-learning it. I wish you good success for this challenging journey!
Thanks for this video! I recently started studying Hungarian from scratch so it was interesting to see how you plan out your language learning journey with a completely new language. I got quite some useful input. And by the way, I think that Thai is a great choice. I love the country and its culture and how the language sounds. 😃
I love this series. PLEASE, more just of these simple 10-15 minute language learning vlogs. Of course I like the more professional content as well, 100% no caveats. The vlogging adds a human element and a window in the shared experience of a language learner. Plus... it'll be nice to see how you deal with the A1 -> A2 "oh god, there's so much", and even the dreaded B1 plateau "oh my god I've done so much and yet I still know nothing"
Pod101 is such an amazing resource. You literally don't need anything else. So much information there from absolute basics to very advance levels. Though, my preferred method is books, right now learning French, at the moment using Assimil + general French reading + little grammar exercises, not too much.
เชิญค่ะ Finally Lindie! I have been watching your videos for years for inspiration, but the language I have been studying is Thai. I have been learning for about 8 years now. Your approach is spot on. I look forward to more content related to Thai language!! Also, Please see youtube: Learn Thai with Grace. Kru Grace is a native Thai speaker and polyglot and has wonderful videos for learning.
Hi Lindes I'm Native thai speaker...I love love your inspiration and how I see you as my idol now. I'm trying so hard to learn Korean and Japanese right now. Nice to meet you♥️😀
I can't believe it! I have been following you for a very long time because you are my language learning idol. So I am Thai. I am so grateful that you learned my language. ♥️
I was so excited to watch this video, because I have been learning Thai about 2 months and i can understand some Thai now. Thai alphabet is extremely difficult, but Thai grammar is very simple and easy. Good luck to your Thai learning journey :) And i love your videos, it's always so inspiring 👍
It's so fun to see people studying since we all do it differently. Two years ago I started learning french just like you study but in a class setting and I hated it. I'm autistic so I crave ✨️structure✨️ and I felt that was missing from that class which frustrated me because I saw my peers learning so much and even though I put the effort I still felt it wasn't enough. I stopped learning during the pandemic to concentrate on my mental health and recently returned to it but in my way. I'm heavily relying on grammar because it soothes that structure craving but I'm also learning vocabulary, common phrases, immersion and all that good ol' stuff.
Boy, I can totally empathize. I've been doing this about 4 years now. It does eventually get easier, but you need to build a basic vocabulary and get used to the backwards sentence structure. From big house to house big for example. Noun then Adjective.I tried to learn online for quite a while, but eventually start taking classes . Thai as a second language in Chiang Mai is a good one. TSL. Learn Thai with Mod is very good. I do love Thai podcast 101. Llingo for memorizing vocabulary. And Pimsleur is excellent for sentence structure. In fact, If there's one thing I would do over is start with complete sentences from the get-go. All I can say is every day do a little bit. It's damn frustrating though as it takes quite a while to even make basic progress. I still fall on my face quite often. Congratulations for taking on the task! I love it, but it's tough.
loved this video format! feels like as if i’m studying with you 😅 loved to see you going through all the process of initiating learning a new language 😊
Thanks for making this video Lindie, you are always so helpful with learning tips and you are so inspiring! I feel like you always reinvigorate my desire to learn languages! I hope you continue your journey and continue enjoying learning languages as a major part of your life 😁
Wow!!! I'm doing almost the same with Russian. I started studying it from scratch last month. My goal for September was to learn the Cyrillic Alphabet... my plan for the next month is to learn it better and start to learn some simple phrases... I'm using Duolingo for that! I copy the sentece on my notebook and then I start to work changing the sentece with the words I already know or trasforming the sentece into negative one... things like that! Keep going! Can't wait to see your progress!💪🏻🤩👍🏻
I booked a Thai lesson online on preply. Honestly I hate spending money but I figured if I'm learning a language I will need a teacher. I littarlly am looking for people learning Thai as well so I'm happy I found your video!!!!!
I'm sure this is going to be exciting for you! Yeah, Thai is not easy and even after two years of study I can only hold super simple conversations. One of my favorite TH-cam channels for Thai is 'Thai With Grace' She's a polyglot, like you, but Thai is her 1st language. Good luck!
Greetings from Thailand! Have fun studying Thai! Such a big fan of your channel as I'm also passionate about learning languages. You're such a huge inspiration for me.
What a coincidence Lindie... My mother tongue is Sundanese ᮘᮞᮞᮥᮔ᮪ᮄ, Javanese ꦚꦱꦗꦮ, and Indonesian🇮🇩. I learned english🇬🇧, japanese🇯🇵, korean🇰🇷, mandarin🇨🇳, arabic🇸🇦 and french🇫🇷, the fluency in each of those languages varies greatly. However I've been learning thai by myself as well for almost 2 weeks and when I'm looking for thai learning sources, your video pops up on my youtube homepage, it's quite unexpected tbh. You started to learn thai and so am I, it's absolutely getting me so excited to keep learning it. Goodluck Lindie❤️🫶🏻 I'll be looking forward your new video about your progress in learning thai🇹🇭
OMG I've been procrastinating on learning Thai for so long, this comes at the right time since I want to start something new, and have time now. Good luck to both of us
I’ve followed you for years and this has got to be one of my favourite videos!! Seeing you start from beginner and the process of how you get started in a language (and actually seeing you practise). I’ve been learning French for a while but really want to start Turkish - I just felt really overwhelmed by how different the language is. This has motivated me so much! 🥳
I was learning a bit of Thai a while back because I find the script beautiful. I stopped after a while since life got in the way. I should get back to it One TH-cam channel I watched was "Learn Thai Happily". Satang, the host pumps out a crazy number of videos. They are short and sweet. First few videos were a bit difficult, because the font used was difficult to read. But he switches it up in later videos and they became much better. Anyway, good luck with learning Thai!
Wow, Lindie, I’m so excited for you to learn Thai! I’m also interested in learning this language and I already tried to learn it once but at that time I wasn’t so serious about it. For me, the European, who doesn’t speak any tone language, Thai seems hella hard (well, and exiting too). I wish you well on your journey, I’m sure you can learn it!😁💪💪
I remember watching one of your videos a few years ago and I never saw you mention Thai - I'm pleasantly surprised to see you learning Thai! I hope you have fun with it!
LOL watching you fill out that webform and saying "yes, I DO want a Thai ebook, give me everything" is like watching myself. Sure, I'd love some Korean Hangul printouts! A free study schedule? Yes please! Oh, an ebook with the grammar I'm learning? Send it immediately!
“I’m gonna skip that.” 😂😂 Thai is near the top of my list for future dream languages but I don’t feel ready yet. It’s encouraging to see you struggle but dive in anyway. Good luck!!!
I also had a similar moment where I learned korean vocab on drops and when my tutor got to that in our textbook I was like hey, that's familiar! All the best in your thai language learning! Thai alphabet looks so squiggly but pretty.
I'm learning Thai as well! It'll be the second language after Korean ^^ It took a while to get through the alphabet... and I still cant read it properly without having to refer to my notes when it comes to the tones. Goodluck to both of us!
I am so happy you are recording yourself learning a new language practically from zero. I don't feel so silly now when I hear myself speak a new language for the first time
I'll be living in Thailand for the next 6 months, so I am also learning Thai. Excited to see your journey with the language! Maybe I'll pick up some tips and tricks from a more experienced learner along the way! :)
Hello, Lindie! I'm from France and I really appreciate watching your videos even though I don't usually comments on people's video. But, when I've seen your video, I was so glad that you are learning new language and it's Thai! It's because, i'm half thai but since I was born In France and didn't learn it apart from picking some words, sentences with the help of my mother and of course lakorn / dramas and music, I don't really considered myself as a half thai person. Sorry, it's getting too long but yes, I'm with you, I'm learning not constantly but if I have a proper time, I think, I have to organize well, I should learning the language seriously haha. I also watched the same video with the alphabet haha, I also think it's quite complicate (but the difficult part is how to put together and to read them, sometimes it's simple sometimes it's not lol) but, I've found a video about a man who was living in Thailand I think, he recommended to know the important one first and If i'm not mistaken, to learn letters with a small group (like maybe with the video uou had watched). Wish you the best and a big cheer up for this new journey but also for other things! p-s: sorry for any mistake (especially english grammar) but hope you are able to understand what I wanted to convey.
Been watching you for a while and this is definitely a surprise because I 'm Thai 🥰 Good luck for your learning and hope one day we can have good conversation in Thai ka :)
I am starting Thai in December! So excited that I will be on the same path as you!!! I live in Japan, so Thai has been floating around my outer circle for over a decade. I really got interested in Thai, however, when I worked at Tokyo Paralympics boccia venue. Thai is tops in boccia, so there was Thai everywhere. I was working in the languages team, and there were Thai speakers in our team, so I heard Thai every day. I thought it was beautiful. Then I had the most beautiful encounter with a Thai suport team member. Then Thailand produced a remake of Japanese drama, Hana Yori Dango, so I watched my first Thai drama. Then I fell down the BL wormhole. Then I discovered the music of Jeff Satur... So basically, a never-ending list of reasons to learn Thai. (Sorry Malay, you are going to have to wait a little bit longer.) I won't have free time until Japan's end of year vacation and I like to start with a deep-dive immersion, so I have to wait until then. PS, I have been missing your vids for months, since I watched from my work account which I never use any more. *sad face*
Like the way you dive into several languages without worrying about the rest, you are also learning. I can't do that, so perfectionist that can't enjoy learning a few words if not mastering the language!
Thai is super flexible don't worry. Like the sentence that directly translates to "in 1 week, have 7 days" could also be "1 week have 7 days". They are both grammatically correct. The long sentence about telling time, its way too formal like you're a military radio announcer. Nobody says that. You just say the number of hours + the word "MONG" + followed by the number minutes (informal). If you wanna be a bit formal, you just add the word for minutes after the number of minutes "Natee".
Pimsleur is great for listening when walking around. I learned a little thai by taking a break from mandarin to hear some thai. I listen to thai music often and watch thai shows so I figured throwing some lessons would be nice. I want to study it's script but I got chinese to take seriously rn. Characters are enough to memorize for now.
I've started learning a couple weeks ago, so I feel you. 'Thai Lessons By New' is a good yt channel, btw. I enjoy the lessons there. I didn't start with the alphabet, tho. Before going into it, I memorized a few words first, so that I would have something solid to help me remember the letters later (if that makes sense). Wish you success~
Hi Lindie! I don't know your Vietnamese level, but I know you're a fan of language stacking! I discovered a channel called Yêu Tiếng Thái that you may want to check out. She has a playlist for learning the Thai alphabet and I've been watching it to re-learn the Thai alphabet myself. I do struggle to understand what she is saying, but I still find it helpful since Thai and Vietnamese have similar sounds. I feel like my knowledge of Vietnamese is helping me connect the dots better 😊 of course the thaipod101 videos are great too! Good luck with your studies! Looking forward to your next video!
Gracias por compartir esto, Lindie! Creo que ver a alguien a quien uno admira dar sus primeros pasos en un nuevo reto, me recuerda que todos somos personas y me motiva a seguir en este viaje que es aprender idiomas ✨💜
Thai is on my list of languages I want to learn. I'm currently focusing on improving the languages I'm already learning and I just know some Thai from watching a lot of dramas 🙈 But when I start actually learning it, this will be very helpful, so thank you for making the video 💜
I really like this style of video you did! It feels very relatable 😂 I would love to see more in other languages as well if you get the chance! Good luck learning Thai!
I'm also a Thai learner. I also find learning a tonal language hard even though my mother tongue is Vietnamese. Thank you for making this motivating video :)
These Pod/Class 101 guys are really helpful when learning a new language. Especially the alphabets. I learnt my Japanese and Korean alphabets on these only and also attempted Thai and Arabic 😂😂 Ofc I gave up but my Korean is still on and I plan on keeping it. But now watching you learning Thai motivates me to learn it again. Hope you succeed and stay strong and healthy. Sending lots of love from India ❤️❤️ PS: when are u gonna learn Hindi? Not pressuring you, just an innocent question 😊😊✌️✌️
She has before. (She learnt the basics) She learnt to listen and speak it a few years back. Look at her bookshelf video and she talked about it briefly
Hello Lindie! I was looking for tips for the TOPIK2 exam and found your video from 2 years ago which leads me to this video. I am Thai who just passed TOPIK1 and is amazed at how disciplined you are. I know it's going to be a long journey for you to learn Thai but I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for the inspiration and learning language tips! :)
Oh, I just LOVED the part where we can learn Thai together with you, learning how to write "ma" (to come) in Thai. Maybe you could do more like this, where you just study and take us along? I am sure to remember "ma" now! ^_^
I started learning Thai from scratch around a year ago, but I'm terrible in the self discipline department (I also just have a horrible work/school load) and started with a teacher on italki from the start. Having to schedule lessons kept me on a better track. I am at a basic conversation level, but my confidence is not great and I forget words while in the middle of talking. I have some of the same learning resources but wanted to offer one up here in case it can help anyone else. My teacher suggested this book and it was a massive help for me. My understanding got noticeably better after we started working with this book together. "Everyday Thai for Beginners" by Wiworn Kesavatana-Dohrs ... The book is set up in lessons, has a section at the beginning about the letters and sound changes, and the lessons are broken down into helpful grammar parts and exercises. There is an audio disc too... but this book is a little hard to find in good condition. I found mine on Amazon used. Another decent resource is the "You Too Can Learn Thai" podcast episodes. I've used them for some of my listening practice. I hope these are helpful. ♥
También te recomiendo "Write thai in 10 days" y el libro de "Easy Thai". Los dos me han hecho entender mejor cómo funciona el tailandés y la gramática básica que necesitaba para ir aprendiendo.
"See how easy that was?"
"No..."
lmao I feel you. Thank you for sharing your journey with a new language from scratch like this. It gives me motivation to tackle a language where I'm a beginner too.
I loved that comment!!! 😂
That was my favorite part! I always talk back to the videos.

Wow!! Happy Thai journey to us!!
started learning five days ago was so weirded out when this video showed up

7:51: "H̄nụ̀ng s̄ạpdāh̄̒ mī ....WHAT?"
Love that part. Made me smile.
I'm learning Thai too. That frustration of learning this beautiful language is totally so relatable. :D
Keep up with these Thai beginner videos.
Good luck with Finnish. I am native Finn and I still struggle with the grammar a lot :DDD
@@jennah94 haha kiitoksia. 😊 Joo, kielioppi on joskus ihan ärsyttävää. 😅 Mutta rakastan suomen kieliä, siis opin vielä. 😊
Unfortunately I focused to much on the writing system and didn't practice my speaking/listening enough.😩
Now I can write and read but I can't speak. 🥲
I'm better at listening though because I watch Thai series a lot😅
i really want to learn the thai alphabet but everytime i actually start, i get so easily discouraged :')
watching series indeed help a lot with oral comprehension and learning words, thats how i know all my thai from (thanks to bls iyky lol)
So excited to see your journey with this language!
Thanks Mandie!!
Nice to meet you♥️😀
lindie this haircolor looks so good on you 🥰
As a Thai, I can affirm that it's a hard language indeed - I'm still learning! 😂 Mad respect to all of you out there.
Good luck to your Thai learning journey :)
And i love your videos, it's always so inspiring 👍
สวัสดีครับ ~ Follow your channel for so long~ I’m a native Thai. Never thought you are going to learn Thai again. Hope you can achieve it. 🥰
I'm starting uni in two weeks with Thai as my major and Japanese as my minor, and I'm super excited already!
Thank you so much!
5:14 " See how easy that was?" "No" My life in 2 phrases
I'll be excited to see how far you get! I really like Thai (and Thai food), so I'm happy to see you learn it. :)
Thanks for making this video Lindie, you are always so helpful with learning tips and you are so inspiring! I feel like you always reinvigorate my desire to learn languages! I hope you continue your journey and continue enjoying learning languages as a major part of your life 😁
Thank you so much for sharing your journey! Your videos give a lot of motivation and encouragement to me and to lots of other people
This is exciting me as someone who also wants to learn the language, have fun!
You have no idea how much I like you and your videos.💙💙💙
OMG I've been procrastinating on learning Thai for so long, this comes at the right time since I want to start something new, and have time now. Good luck to both of us
I’ve followed you for years and this has got to be one of my favourite videos!! Seeing you start from beginner and the process of how you get started in a language (and actually seeing you practise). I’ve been learning French for a while but really want to start Turkish - I just felt really overwhelmed by how different the language is. This has motivated me so much! 🥳
i love videos like this where i can just see somebody who's really good at learning languages go about their thing, thanks Lindie 💕
I was learning a bit of Thai a while back because I find the script beautiful. I stopped after a while since life got in the way. I should get back to it
One TH-cam channel I watched was "Learn Thai Happily".
Thank you! It sure is a huge challenge.
I can't believe it! I've just started learning Thai as well!!!
Absolutely love to see you learning Thai, I really wanna learn it in the future, right now, i'm just focusing on Mandarin, Russian and recently korean
I am Belarusian,so if there mistakes sorry)I am 12 years old.I started learn Chinese two months ago and now I am starting learn Thai with you)
I love seeing how you approach learning a language from scratch! Excited to follow this journey 😍
“I’m gonna skip that.” 😂😂 Thai is near the top of my list for future dream languages but I don’t feel ready yet. It’s encouraging to see you struggle but dive in anyway. Good luck!!!
Hi Katherine 👋 how are you doing
I also had a similar moment where I learned korean vocab on drops and when my tutor got to that in our textbook I was like hey, that's familiar! All the best in your thai language learning! Thai alphabet looks so squiggly but pretty.
Yay happy to see you pick up a good challenge with Thai. Curious to see your journey and how it compares with Chinese as a tonal language.
Tök érdekes látni hogy hogy állsz neki egy új nyelv tanulásának! 😊
You come across as a really lovely person Lindie. Good luck !!
I loved walking with you in your first steps of learning. This was so helpful. Your videos always are! Thank you, and good luck studying!
I don't feel so silly now when I hear myself speak a new language for the first time
สวัสดีค่ะ. I have been wanting to learn Thaï as well. So excited to see your journey in it and how you go about it ! Good luck ! ✨
Your pronunciations r actually very impressive! Tonal languages r so hard especially Thai!
Hi Lindie, I've watched your channel for a long time for my Japanese stydy motivation. I'm extiting to know that you'll start new language.
Good luck.
It's so nice to see your videos again Lindie. 화이팅 with that Thai!! You inspire me so much! 加油!! ^^
I'll be living in Thailand for the next 6 months, so I am also learning Thai.
Excited to see your journey with the language!
Maybe I'll pick up some tips and tricks from a more experienced learner along the way! :)
TEFL job?
@@anthonyplayter2981 Nope. I just escape the cold North of Scandinavia in wintertime.
@@pejfectlife nice, are you doing that on a student Visa or are you just going to do a visa run every 2/3 months?
@@anthonyplayter2981 45 day visa exemption + 30 day extension before heading do Bali for a bit, maybe 😀 We'll see!
@@marianne.holmen good plan, if you want something different look up Cherating in Malaysia. Alot cleaner and more peaceful.
😊 Girl. I wish you the best and thank you for the language learning guidance.
THank you!
Yes. We want more videos about learning languages.
As a Thai, this makes me so happy! I hope you enjoy the learning process💗
I'm so excited to follow your journey! 😊 I am also re-learning Thai and I'm happy to have some company learning
Finallyyyy thai-langs learner mate 😭🙏 i really lost cause no one in here is learning thai. But finally lindy back to learning thaii.
I love how you follow pronouncing Thai words from text to speech; you have so much talent! , keep it up! from a native Thai.
I love that you're learning Thai! Your making me want to restudy the language 💞💞
What a coincide! I was also thinking about continuing to learn Thai today.
Hello Lindie. I'm Thai. I'm so excited to see you speak Thai. สวัสดีครับ เป็นกำลังใจให้นะครับ
Thank you so much!
(Sorry Malay, you are going to have to wait a little bit longer.)
I won't have free time until Japan's end of year vacation and I like to start with a deep-dive immersion, so I have to wait until then.
PS, I have been missing your vids for months, since I watched from my work account which I never use any more. *sad face*
This video was amazing Lindie. It was so good seeing you at the start of a language journey. It makes me feel much better about how I start out. :)
You’re making fun & funny learning Thai - love it.
Good luck with Thai! I hope you do well, and God bless you!
Looking forward for your Thai vlogs. Fellow learner here!
Your pronunciation is great. I love your ป sound. Keep going!
Great video Lindie! I love the casualness of it ❤
Yay, thank you!
I'm also a Thai learner. I also find learning a tonal language hard even though my mother tongue is Vietnamese. Thank you for making this motivating video :)
These Pod/Class 101 guys are really helpful when learning a new language. Especially the alphabets. I learnt my Japanese and Korean alphabets on these only and also attempted Thai and Arabic 😂😂
Ofc I gave up but my Korean is still on and I plan on keeping it. But now watching you learning Thai motivates me to learn it again. Hope you succeed and stay strong and healthy. Sending lots of love from India ❤️❤️
PS: when are u gonna learn Hindi?
Not pressuring you, just an innocent question 😊😊✌️✌️
She has before. (She learnt the basics) She learnt to listen and speak it a few years back. Look at her bookshelf video and she talked about it briefly
Good luck on your journey! I can't wait to see more videos about it, its so encouraging ❤️
Everyday Thai for Beginners by Wiworn Kesavatana-Dohrs is an excellent book if you can find one.
When you decide to get back on Vietnamese, I’ll jump along side you! 😁 Have fun Lindie!
También te recomiendo "Write thai in 10 days" y el libro de "Easy Thai". Los dos me han hecho entender mejor cómo funciona el tailandés y la gramática básica que necesitaba para ir aprendiendo.
