Hello sir, I am from québec and last year I bought the Thunder tiger 5546 and many part are not fitting. Did you have the same problem because I have no support with the company. My major problem is for the direction. The part came with the kit are not fitting. the plastic thing is to long and the hole are to small for the rod. Did you have the same problem. Second question, The kit did not came with the remote and servo. Did you use another company. Best regard and sorry for my bad english
that was realy enjoyable.. I only have 1 question. My keel post is glued after 1 year of fresh water sailing. I dont know it is is rust or what. but it wont come out of its sleeve.. has anybody else had that problem?
I love how he's just not selling it for me. It sounds like an awful kitset unless you really do a lot of extra work to it. Your best bet, find yourself some information on the Canterbury J, as developed here in Christchurch, New Zealand. I've noticed it's starting to attract worldwide attention for it's striking vintage aesthetics and strict specifications, allowing for fair racing amongst even the poorest of enthusiasts. Fibreglass hulls and keels must meet specification, the rest is heavily governed but offering freedom for rigging and radio choices. Interesting video though.
Alex Paulsen ... for max performance, true story. The kit does need some significant modifications. New rig, new sails, and a custom radio install. But if you don’t want to reinvent the whole boat, you can build one for the “Silver Fleet.” This is essentially a stock boat with stock sails and rig right from the kit. The boat sails just fine built stock. But it sails faster with a custom rig/sails.
Does anyone know how far back from the bow Bill's jib pivot eye is mounted. The video has a nice close-up, but no reference point. It looks like about 2"?
