- My bad on the last 2 days w no vid, I feel kinda bad. Rip the streak, but hopefully this makes up for it. The Path of Pain is probably my most anticipated video ever. You all have been warning me of this since like the 3rd HK video. I am grateful for you all, and hopefully you enjoy the vid (or don't idk it's your choice. ok bye.

I’m glad you noticed the music get more dramatic as it went on, not many people tend to say anything about it and I couldn’t tell if they just didn’t notice or didn’t care.
Congrats man, little explanation for the ending, that wasn't you, that was the Hollow Knight (which isn't you) and the Pale King. That cutscene was to show that the HK was not truly hollow. The PK accidentally instilled parental love into the HK which went against the entire reason for making the vessels. Because of the love the HK had for their father, it made a way for the final boss to corrupt and escape it's prison. The PK wanted to seal the final boss away which he succeeded, but he wanted it to be permanent, but in reality his actions made the seal temporary to which it's only able to stave off the infection for a while, making Hallownest die slowly. That ending is completely worthless because you already get a massive hint that the HK wasn't truly hollow when you go back to the bottom layer of the abyss with the King's Soul charm equipped. The only reason to take on the Path of Pain is for bragging rights and an achievement just like beat the third trial in the Colosseum of Fools.

I don't care much for the bragging rights of beating the path of pain, and Coliseum 3 already makes me rage which is why I haven't even attempted it, but big congrats man, brag to the skies, it looks super tough

@scarlettpsychopath ok admittedly I did go past the stages with no floor which is the hardest part other than god tamer but I died.
I attribute this to having a bluetooth headest in ear reminding it needed to charge

Path of Pain is definitely not easy. I'm pretty sure it took me way longer the first time I did it and I'm a speedrunner now, you're getting pretty damn good at the game
Also, I wish Path of Pain gave a reward other than lore lol

But that made me think the Pale Court mod did add an extra Path Of Pain-like area with a very good charm at the end, they definitely should've done something like that on vanilla
I am probably too much of a wimp to even TRY path of pain. Getting Kingsoul was already enough of a nightmare. Speaking of kingsoul, why don't you try to turn that thing into the void heart?

Another cool fact, the scene at the end of the oath of pain is a scene of the Hollow Knight and the Pale King (the pk being the guy you smacked off his throne earlier 💀💀💀) a lot of people theorize that it had smth to do with the infection (the orange goo) being spread throughout hallownest, i wont say anything else until you finish the game though 🤫
