I honestly cannot believe that Hunter went out with the idol. I thought he was 100% going to play it no matter what even if there is a split vote. There was no point in saving it for one more round when you know you are on the chopping block. I am LOVING Charlie’s winning equity more and more as the season is going on. I also can’t believe he told people that he had his idol before playing it.
It looks like they see the idol as it was a simple shot in the dark. They think that they just get another 24 hours or less of lives and then they are out anyway. This happened to Caleb and could be the case for anyway else (Jem or Hunter). I don't think that find a new idol is so easy as it was back in the Russell or Ben times.
@@NeoKurowI don't think you're necessarily doomed after an idol play though? We've seen so many people survive the next vote with no protection despite needing to save themselves the round before. If you idol out the right person to shift the tribe dynamics and you spend the next day reintegrating yourself then you could fully recover. Or he could just bank on winning the next immunity which was a realistic possibility.
I don't know how we can talk about Maria anymore. She only has 19 confessionals. Q has 58; Kenzie has 50; Charlie has 46. I mean Ben has 26. Venus has 40. It has felt like Maria has been very done for like the last three episodes. She just is not getting screen time. I love Maria as a player, but she just isn't getting it. It is either a complete failure by the producers or she is not winning this game. I am not seeing it because the game play is there; they just are not showing it.
I agree Phil that the metagaming makes this season more interesting. Everyone is fixated on needing to make a move and everyone has a big ego that they need to be seen as the top dog. It’s like having a season full of players wanting to be Boston Rob where they all want to be the driver of the strategy. This is actually something I always said about Big Brother in that a season full of Derrick Levasseurs could be interesting because you can’t have a season full of them. Everyone can’t be the leader of a well-oiled machine and eventually something has to give. 46 is proving that to be the case. They are all dogs fighting over one bone.
Thanks Phil for giving me the shoutout during the live show I really enjoy listening to you guys after the show. I miss Will hope he's back soon, I really did think you nailed it this week!!
A goddess on a mountain top Was burning like a silver flame The summit of beauty and love And Venus was her name She's got it Yeah, baby, she's got it Well, I'm your Venus I'm your fire, at your desire Well, I'm your Venus I'm your fire, at your desire
Was convinced Hunter was going to play his idol the way he was acting that entire tribal council… can’t believe he didn’t… I was screaming at my screen!!
Funny how Charlie is getting so much credit when he is being carry by Maria.... Maria is the one that deserves the credit. Charlie only won 1 immunity.
52:07 Ok but you watch Big Brother, right? How many times have we seen a person get ostracized by their cast over nothing? I think it’s so hard to judge on these shows because the players are in an isolated environment, and facing a ton of stressors that they’ve never had before.
Somehow Q is still in the game and will probably survive a little longer. Alot of the players are gonna wanna take him to the end since they know he won't be getting any votes at the final 3.
Crazy that 1/2 people out there almost kept Q who if they are sitting with in a final 1000% win a million dollars vs. keeping two people in game in Hunter and Tiffany with idols and you cant beat if they are in finals with you....
48:03 Phil you’re not overreacting about Jeff’s comments having power to influence the performance and outcome of challenges, which he should not be doing as the host. There have been studies on this that proved that female students performed worse on math exams than their male counterparts when someone tells them beforehand that “males typically outperform females on this exam” compared to a control group who were not subject to this comment beforehand. It’s not even an opinion; you’re just correct about something that is evidence-based.
Thanks for pointing this out! I really hope that this doesn't become a part of the show moving forward. What's funny is, I actually though Kenzie, Tiffany, and Ben were the most doomed. And sure enough...
Totally! I feel like it was a huge mistake for tiff to pair up with ben and kenzie, who absolutely SUNK them in the challenge. Really hoping Tiff clocked that as well and starts making better decisions for her game!
People are over complicating Q it simple for me from what I seen on show & social media. He is absolutely crazy & control freak who loves being control & center of attention. Last week when he realized I’m not getting my way & doing what I want he essentially that guy that said I do t wanna play anymore. Unless I’m winning I don’t wanna play. He threw essentially a temper tantrum under the cover of noble sacrifice. That what it was a grown man having a temper tantrum hoping that he would home or plans would change. He wants to be in control or not play.
Just an FYI speaking of Hunter I actually happened to receive a miniature Survivor table maze for my 33rd birthday earlier this week if you have one explain to me how to set it up?
22:26 tbf hunter literally trusted nobody but (maybe im misremembering) but he told multiple ppl “I trust u the most, only u nobody else etc etc” in the episode. he was lying too, so how can he be bitter after changing how he played because he knew everyone was snakes based on last tribal…
Hunter, Hunter! Tell no one, get votes on you, play it and get your biggest threat out. No one was going to be your true ally. Hunt another one, win comps. The only way at this point.
Hunter went out horribly. Survivor is a social game and he seemed antisocial most of the time. He told venus about his Idol of all the players 😂 rookie move but i wouldn't mind seeing him return in the next season
Charlie is more and more seen as the only strategic foothold in a very rocky terrain. We have a whole bunch of qhaos happening, and he seems to be the only one with enough sense to know how to react. His takeaway about going with Kenzie’s plan was brilliant because he correctly saw how he could exploit Kenzie’s move for his benefit as opposed to Maria who was too concerned with following Kenzie’s plan because it wasn’t hers. This truly feels like a season of egos, and I think Charlie has the right head on his shoulders to excel. He doesn’t have bad blood with anybody, so I can definitely see him making it to the end game. Charlie knows all too well how to weave himself in the cracks of this tribe. Call it what you want, but I think Charlie is on his way to be a mastermind. The jury will be dumbfounded at how they easily let him get to the end if they aren’t careful and they will have to look at what they made him do. Plus he has my last name. Can’t go wrong with a fellow Davis 😏 (R.I.P. Tevin).
36:30 We throw the word “hate” around so much when so few of the contestants actually hate one another. Ben expressed a normal level of frustration and there was nothing “hateful” about it. Let’s be accurate with what we present.
This is the best overall cast because most of them are just being normal people. Not more than half of them being awful people and so we don't really get anything from them because they can't show how they are behaving on the island. There are better individual cast members on other season than some of these people, but it feels like we are far enough removed from the horror of the change in the way of casting that people are just playing like people again this season. At least more so than other seasons.
40:55 I think Q is someone who accepts consequences for his actions in the real world. And he probably needs the stability and structure in order to succeed in his job. If he misses out on a sale, he doesn’t get paid. If he isn’t in control and ruins someone’s game he needs a consequence. I think he tried to give himself a consequence of getting voted out, but now since that didn’t happen he views his current predicament in the game as his consequence and he can now move forward and try to play. I don’t think he wanted to quit. I don’t think he tried to quit. I think he felt that’s what he deserved. Anyways I love Q!!! I definitely hope he comes back, but I think if he ever wants a chance at winning he will have to play a perfect game. He can’t have an up and down game lol
I knew this was going to happen. There is no way in hell that a player like Hunter is gonna win survivor.
Typically when u were left in the dark the previous vote, you are going home next. Smh
@@NeoKurowI don't think you're necessarily doomed after an idol play though? We've seen so many people survive the next vote with no protection despite needing to save themselves the round before. Agree with this! Needed her story to take off post merge and instead, Charlie is getting all the credit.

Hunter deserves to go home after so many blunders. Has the idol, tell everyone he’s going to play it and is worried about Ben? Jesus.
Especially the last minute announcement to Venus. Like at least commit bro?!
Ben was the right move but telling Venus was horrible gameplay
Hunter not playing his idol caused me survivor trauma.
I was screaming all the same things you started this video with at the screen!
Thanks Phil for giving me the shoutout during the live show I really enjoy listening to you guys after the show. I miss Will hope he's back soon, I really did think you nailed it this week!!

I felt so stupid, because I was talking to my TV telling Hunter not to play the idol. I guess I wouldn't be cut out for survivor.
That’s okay Moe! Just do your best!
14:16 Oh man, can you imagine how bonkers this cast would be if they’d known what happened with Jake the previous season?
Was convinced Hunter was going to play his idol the way he was acting that entire tribal council… can’t believe he didn’t… I was screaming at my screen!!

Kenzie and Ben are very close
Why would Hunter be any more likely to forgive Kenzie over Tiffany if he wasn‘t even working with her as closely….
This cast really is Gabon 2.0!
Somehow Q is still in the game and will probably survive a little longer. Alot of the players are gonna wanna take him to the end since they know he won't be getting any votes at the final 3.
You are correct about the idol. He had a explanation but it was dumb
In what world did hunter think they'd let 2 people skate by tribal without flushing an idol.
Crazy that 1/2 people out there almost kept Q who if they are sitting with in a final 1000% win a million dollars vs. keeping two people in game in Hunter and Tiffany with idols and you cant beat if they are in finals with you....
I know she shunned and mocked Q but i feel like Kenzie finding out about the 6 is a possible reason she woke up to not trusting Tiff
GO TIFF! LOL! 😅 Obviously, Kenzie is the one to NOT be trusted ...Q knew that from the jump
@@lashid4u371 hahaha for me its GO CHARLIE.
This season is fun tho.
@@Baileyross-qy3ve Yeah, it is! 😅🤣

I like Blake. He seems to actually like survivor.
Blake saying “For people playing 40-several” as in 47 got me ngl 😂

11:19 Was Blake thinking medevacs? Only 1 woman on that list, iirc.
I was pulling a Q and making chat interact but I really knew the whole time.
I don’t think Ben votes for Charlie over Kenzie

Entertaining cast but not the best strategic cast. Gabon vibes
Best cast ??? Bhanu , Jess and Jalinsky ?? Maybe one of the good merge casts
Didn't say best players, just said best cast. And Bhanu and Jelinsky were definitely great casting choices.
I miss Will!
I miss will so bad!!!
Ughhhh so damn tired of Idols being misused, especially when it’s someone on the bottom with no power but an Idol.
