    I found it hilarious that Q said he threw the challenge. It was pretty clear he couldn’t make the clean transition up in the allotted 10 seconds

    crazy idea for a 'unique double elimination': the immunity challenge is fought in pairs, one pair wins immunity, and then at Tribal Council everyone votes for one pair out of the game. Two things though: can only after merge, and the SITD cannot be played, idols can still be played though, they would just negate both.

    52:44 It kinda reminded me of the Omar blindside in 42. Initially Mike and Jonathan were the ones coming up with the blindside, but when Lindsay won immunity they got scared out of it because she could play her idol/amulet on Omar. So they voted for Romeo, while Maryanne had gone to Romeo and come up with the plan to use her extra vote on Omar so he got the plurality of votes.
    I can’t remember if Mike and Jonathan knew she was gonna do that and they just voted Romeo to tie the vote if the idol got played.

    1:48 I think they do a double elimination episode in order to stay on track with their filming schedule and their episode numbers. I just wish they would have like, the final pre-mergatory challenge be only one tribe gets immunity and the other two go to tribal council. Then everyone is with people they’ve all spent more than two days getting to know, and everyone who makes it past mergatory is guaranteed jury.

    I understand why Phil and Q think it was a bad idea for Charlie to tell Venus about voting her. However, i agree with Will that it was bad ffor Q to tell Charlie what to do. He is literally telling everyone what to do. His own alliance is annoyed with him. His plaito play the alphabet/cities game did not go as planned. He even tried bossing Jeff Probst at the challenge. Coach Q has gotta learn when to not tell people all of his opinions.

    I don’t understand how Soda was so dangerous? Maria and Charlie missed a chance to take out Tevin who in my opinion is a more social threat

    • @survivorspecialists
      @survivorspecialists  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think they're more concerned about Soda's ability to bond and blend in than Tevin. Tevin has been viewed in a negative light by multiple people on this season. But ultimately, I wouldn't want to sit with either of them.

  • @JNDReacts
    @JNDReacts 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    57:19 Yeah definitely if it was a final 2 of Liz and Venus, Liz would win. In a final 3 that includes the both of them, I think they share second place prize money with 0 votes each, at least as of right now.
    The only thing I could see changing that is Tevin being petty and throwing a vote on Liz just to ensure Venus gets $80k instead of $100k, which would be really ironic given his Liz confessionals in the first two episodes.

    To me, Tevin was trying to secure a potential jury vote from Soda. He’s the one who planned this out, but now can say he never voted for her. Tevin is never getting Venus’s vote. The reason he was so mad Venus took credit was because Venus did nothing

  • @stephanieayala7403
    @stephanieayala7403 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I agree that Venus’s delivery and mannerisms don’t jive with me. Like by no means she isn’t my favorite person should I have met her on the street. And should I be starving and exhausted I’d probably vote her out just because I was annoyed. But… it bothers me that as a woman Maria is putting another woman down for being “too aggressive”. You mean she called you out on your wishy washy BS? You mean she followed up with you when you said let’s talk again later? You mean she has an opinion and is trying to save herself from being voted out? Like… how dare she?! :P She’s being honest and is being the most strategic person in camp. In my opinion she’s a victim of being an awesome player that just didn’t jive with the season. She’d be amazing in another season I think.

    I have the same gripe as Phil about the not-merged merge. Just do the double tribal in the pre-merge, even in the premiere like 41. That way we don’t need one in the merge. Also, just do a swap at some point and then merge at 11 when jury actually starts 🤯

    Hey Will, Soda says she's not as afraid of butterflies as she used to be. She said to Dalton Ross:
    What’s something that happened on the island that didn’t make it to air that you wish we had a chance to see?
    "Okay, so TMI, but I have a huge fear of butterflies. I don't like them. I'll hold a spider, I'll hold a caterpillar or anything, a snake, not a butterfly. Stay away from me. Everyone's going to laugh at me, I don't care. But one of my castmates was sharing how butterflies were a big part of their healing journey when they had lost a family member. And anytime they see a butterfly, they get happy, and I have what's classified as a phobia, an actual phobia. I get physically hijacked if I see them. It's been since I was a kid.
    But after that, I was able to be around them. Suddenly, I even sought them out to touch them. And we had this moment before a challenge where we saw one and I was like, “Look, oh my God, a butterfly. And I was like, “Oh my God, who am I?” And then in my confessional after that, I started crying. I was like, “This phobia has been hijacking me for years.” It's crazy that Survivor kind of broke that open for me, and it still remains true to this day. I'm a little bit better around them than I've ever been."

  • @supermish8912

    I was very confused on why Tevin voted for Venus because he talked with Liz about blindsiding soda and I don’t think Liz would’ve voted for her if they didn’t have that conversation. It more than likely was jury management though.

    I just wish they all lived in the same beach all the time. If they are going to have such short seasons then that would allow everyone to still get to know one another and still have three tribes. The way they are doing the show there is just no chance to get to know the other tribes before the end of the season.

    • @survivorspecialists
      @survivorspecialists  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I agree with this! Especially when the Mergatory boot happens roughly 12 hours before they split at the challenge. It's too short of a time and doesn't give players enough time.

    I kind of wish they do the mergetory vote on this, type of challenge, we get the two groups and one group is safe for first vote then the second vote happens where the whole tribe is available. the group that is out first doesn't make the merge and isn't on the jury then second is merge vote and on the jury

  • @bencalebrod
    @bencalebrod 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I think the best time to do the split tribal if they insist on continuing to do it is Final 11. That way we get both a regular merge vote at 12 and a regular Final 9 vote, the round where often the biggest and the most interesting moves occur. Island of the Idols showed they are willing to do it there, and that was the probably the season up to now the split tribal was the least negatively intrusive on the post-merge.
