Minis are cleaner than new! Immaculate. Same problems with garage door, spinal conditions meant up and over door was difficult to open so got leccy remote roller door fitted. Garage flooded water in under every downpour which never done before, company that supplied and fitted door said wasn't their responsibility! Got a garage door rubber floor sealing strip with tube of fixing adhesive off eBay around £30, fitters doing our house windows fitted it for me and result! You'd really need two tubes of adhesive, they used their own at no charge. One tiny trickle in middle, sorted myself with smear of left over adhesive.
Van engine bay looks awesome. Really have to get stuck into the Travellers to get it looking it’s best for a photo shoot coming up as soon as lockdown permits.
Alright fella, I've just bought a '88 Mayfair 😁 for my son 😊 ( he's 14, a nice toy to work on together). It's not going to be a daily car. Anyway, the previous owner had it in a garage for two years. It's not moved and the owner never put a cover over it (plonker). Consequently it has dust and grime all over the body work 😪. Would you give me an idea of how I can wash it. I use Renault F1 waterless wash and wax on the family car (don't like using water), and comes up great. Keep up the great work fella 👍. Cheers
Another great video. Looks simply brilliant now! Engine detailing is something I don't have the patience for but I'll try it one day. Yes its me again asking questions....but what suspension is the Cooper S on please? My Mini sits too high for my liking and I'm looking everywhere for ideas and advice......
@@classicminidetails8887 Thought so thanks. Any particular manufacturers? Or are they all pretty much the same? Hoping all I need is a set of hi-los and the rear camber adjustment parts.
Alex, thanks for these videos! I’ve never cleaned my engine bay and I’m worried about the electronics. Can you tell us what needs to be covered. It doesn’t appear that you covered any wires.
Hi mate. Great videos. Are you in a local club. Im only in stockport and part of north manchester classic mini club. Noticed on one of your vidoes you were drining through duki 👍
Your engine bay and motor is immaculate. I was wondering how many coats of paint went on the engine block. It's so smooth and glossy. My garage door gets water weeping under the seal mainly when the wind blows rain against it. Hopefully your drain solves the problem.
@@classicminidetails8887 you are one of the people that made me decide to do something myself and i have got 67 subscriptions with in a month and a half.
Nice job mate, it does look amazing 👍 I hope Rhodri approves, I got a right roasting the other day for using my mop all wrong. I almost destroyed the car!
Hi Alex. 14secs in l saw the tatty looking coil and coil strap and thought you' ll give that some attention . Oh no you're not ! That's the "S" ! Look Alex , you do it your way ! It's the results that speak! As for the door can't the fitter's just get a length and let it in ? So they make a 4 metre door with a 3.9 metre seal ......yeah right ! Surely they have a head office or you could call "Watchdog!" ( or tell them you will) what a bunch of * ankers ! Why don't you get a small hand pipe cutter for the hoses ?.... Just a thought ! That bay looks fantastic bud ! Take care and stay safe.
Awesome dude. I can see your love to the cars in all the details.
Thanks mate
Goid job that bud I an a AF fan I use 303 or rubber plus plastic.
Looks really smart under that bonnet now, like the look of that rubber and plastic dressing. You can come and do mine now 😃👍.
Its great stuff mate

Awesome video man!!!
Thanks Mate!
Hi, what steamer do you use? Good job 👌🏻👌🏻
Think it's a Karcher one mate
Get your floor done with some nice smooth epoxy paint bud. Not quite as warm, but can't trap any damp. Easy to clean if you spill anything too!
I have had drainage fitted mate to stop the water ingres, its working a treat so far!

Engine bay looks amazing 😍 what have you used on the end of the bonnet stay, is it heat shrink? 14:08
Happy New Year to you too. Interesting video, as always. Your van is a perfect example and the engine bay looks amazing, well done.
Thanks Gareth

Yes was in Dukinfield mate
Can you go over whether you had to cover any electrical components?? It doesn’t seem like you did and I’m nervous about getting water everywhere.

Hi mate it had 2 coats! The garage drainage is in and working!!!
Job well done mate. Now put the bonnet down 👍🤣
I have 🤣 need to keep it looking like that!
Top job, always worth doing properly 👏
Definitely mate!
I’ve always avoided putting the hose into the engine. I’d assume it would damage something. Anything I should be watching out for?
Apparently its beneficial to them to reduce crank case pressure mate
another great video
