It took youtube a whole year to finally show this channel in the recommendations. So subscribers are coming back! Now to catch up with all the videos released...
Great stuff as usual, Richard & Theresa! Typical GM - they come up with an amazing, durable design ... then leave out a .50 cent part that brings the whole operation to a screeching halt in 100k miles or so. If they can't afford TWO more tabs in a T-case, well, I guess they're in worse financial shape than we ever thought! And this was TWENTY years ago!! 😳Thanks for the video, as always! Great way to start my day. 👍👍
Good Morning Richard!! Glad to see you back in action. I have a GM 246 as well that needs to be rebuilding currently it is stuck in 4 wheel drive high. would you be interested in making a video with one of your fans (me) doing the work? Let me know and we'll figure things out!!
Not a GM transfer case. It might be in a chevy GMC, Dodge, Ford, or Jeep, but that little ID disc on the back clearly identifies it as a New Process manufactured unit. That weird spring style is also found on the NP-435 that is often found in 1 ton pickup trucks between the input shaft and the main shaft, but I am sure you know that. NP was eventually acquired by Magna Industries, and I assume the design is still in production, wherever that is. Certainly not East Syracuse, where the design was developed and perfected, but the design is so good that it is almost universally adopted domestically and I can't imagine it going South. Nice to see no silicone "noodles" all over the oil pickup, as they seemed to have a problem with that.
Great video I'm curious when Richard talks about the locking tabs and putting things back this or that way. Is that from previous learning experiences and how did you learn to rebuild so many different transmission
@@richardteresacricheducatio3542 my Audi has the multitronic CVT transmission I seen video of someone tearing it down he said they were junk. I like mine though drives real smooth.
Hey Richard, I recently did this mod on my transfer case. All went well but the new snap ring rubber cover on the top likes to leak now. Any suggestions for that?
Just seen where the old channel someone cut comments off because everyone was commenting that yall have new channel! I guess who ever is managing that channel don't care about subscribers and what subscribers want!!
It’s funny how they can pin their new page to the channel for three months but subscribers can’t put our name on the channel we haven’t posting anything over there about our new channel But she has been doing it frequently
Just sitting here on my phone right now the auto four-wheel-drive. The computer slowly applies the clutch which applies to front draw shaft do you have the motor hooked up to your swap?
@richardteresacricheducatio3542 yes I do.. the switch seems to be working I do hear some shifting going on.. but the front won't stop spinning when I shift to 2h..

Good job great information I think I'll leave it to the experts
Just some advice.... I would throw some acoustic tiles up on the walls to keep the sound more centered.
Finding this channel made my day! Great video, and always good to see you both again!

Will continue to spread the word on the active channel before they delete them! You the man Richard

I shared your TH-cam channel on my Facebook page. I hope you all don't mind.
Not at all thank you for your support
I am so happy your back.
IMO the gain needs to be turned up a little - you are hard to hear (although the impact is loud LOL)

How does transmission fluid get into transfer case
I need to buy a rebuild kit.
Any recommendations on a manufacturer?

No sir just a four-wheel-drive transfer case

How can I send my t.c to you ? Or a transmission, dont have anyone I trust doing either one 😢

Yes sir even with a new one we always put some red hi temp sealant on that before we put it in just for insurance
@@richardteresacricheducatio3542 Thanks! I'll do it.

That's too bad. 🙁 Life ain't easy, but family stuff is the toughest. Been there a time or 2 myself.
We know who that is don’t we
They will block you as well. I make sure I unsubscribe to people who do that
Crazy, just saw all comments were turned off. I unsubscribed to the old channel, we should all do the same. We are here for Richard!!!

Hi guys.. I'm have a 246 gm in my swap.. I can't get out of 4wd.. is it because it's the auto 4wd?
