I have a watch 6 and the battery only lasts one day. I barely look at it because I don't know what to do. I only want a few apps on the watch. Like my calendar, health and text and phone calls are all the other apps using my battery? Most people I know go a week without charging battery. I need help

If you have a 6s and not a 6 then it should work but I believe you need to update the iOS version. Not sure to which one though, I’m guessing iOS 13. Most people who are having issues end up having an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus thinking it’s the 6s version since they look the same.

Honestly that seems like something is wrong. I would try restarting the Apple Watch and then if that fails, resetting it completely. If that fails, you should call Apple.
Thanks, just ordered my first watch. Does it take account of your age, I am 60plus with some health issues and I don’t want to be told to run marathons. A good stroll is enough for me !
It won't go to that extreme but it will show activity rings and stuff which you can modify to your goals. It will prompt you to breath and you can swipe it away or take a few seconds to clear your mind and breathe. It's a pretty good watch and as much as it is used for activity, it's basic. It's more to just get you moving in general if you are sitting to long.
Had a triple bypass last week and thought that this might help me monitor things till I get the real handle on it. Just going thru the basics its doing more than just a watch, still seems hard to understand all that it can do , I am excited to find out!,

It’s crap really worse thing I got EXCEPT I was monitoring my o₂ levels and bc of them phoned dr She saw me on the basis of the readings. Then took reading as well and they correlated with her. I then got told to go to hospital and I was tested for Covid as usual but it had a flu test too and it was positive next thing yanked away from everyone and barrier nursed. I also black out and drop attacks and the iwatch caught it It’s still crap but it saved my life Hospital said we don’t trust iwatch readings as they are wrong. I said nope I took them when the doctor took my o₂ levels and they were the same. Ha!¡
I’m not receiving notifications on my watch that mirror my phone. Like if I gat a text message, my watch does not vibrate or alert me. Same with a phone call. Thank you

I’m going to be ordering a watch, either the SE or the 6. It’ll be my first ever Apple Watch. Do I need to set up from back up? As in backed up from my iPhone? Or as it’s a new product, set up as a new watch? I’ve seen it can show messages, emails etc so not sure if I need to do this to view the message history and have callers names come up?
Open the watch app on the iPhone and tap passcode. You can then tap change passcode. Keep in mind you will need the original passcode to change it so if you don’t know it, all you can do is restore it to factory settings.
Please give me some advice. I very much want to buy the new Series 6 Apple Watch. However I currently don't own an iPhone and can't afford to buy the latest iPhone in new condition. I have done some research and understand that the Apple Watch Series 6 must be setup and paired with an iPhone that is running IOS 14. If I purchased either a new or reconditioned, network unlocked iPhone Series 6 Plus, with Dual Band CDMA and GSM and 128 GB of memory, then uploaded and installed IOS 14 on that iPhone Series 6 Plus, and of course, installed the Apple Watch App on that iPhone, would I have full functionality on both the iPhone and the Apple Watch? I have seen such iPhones available, both new and reconditioned, for between $200 and $400, which is within my budget. Would I be better served trying to find a later model iPhone within that same price point? I currently use an Android OS version 6.0.1 with the Boost Mobile network, and it would be easy to switch my current mobile number just by transferring my Boost Mobile SIM card to the iPhone, and then going online to my Boost Mobile account, and entering the MAC # of my iPhone. Do all iPhones use a standard SIM mobile carrier card? Are there any other things to consider in order to avoid any potential issues? So the Apple Watch series 6 needs an iPhone 6s or newer iPhone to work. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus would not work as they are limited to iOS 12. iPhones that work with Apple Watch as of now use nano SIM cards. Now iPhone 6s is the oldest supporting iPhone and although it would work it’s going to probably get slower and slower as time goes on and already it is tough for it to perform at its best with iOS 14 tech. I’d say get the newest iPhone you can in your budget but a 6s is the bare minimum.
Anyone else surprised that their Apple Watch series 6 doesn’t come charged? I expected to open the package and be able to pair it right away .. but no. Watch doesn’t even turn on. It needs charge..
Not sure what iPhone I was using maybe an iPhone 11 or 12 but the XR should work with the Apple Watch Series 6 as long as the software (iOS) has been updated.

You will need an iPhone 6s or later from what I am reading. So the iPhone 6 isn't compatible it seems.

What if it's asking for an update, but i'm on ios14 already?
when it gets to the apple id part it is not my apple id, it is a previous one i had but i do not have it connected to my phone anymore
You would have to ensure it’s not connected. It might be on another device?

Unfortunately I can't as I don't have a carrier here that supports the cellular model without a separate plan.

You need your Apple ID unfortunately. Figure out the Apple ID issue first
