@Qloud you aren't doing anything wrong with the artifacts with skills it's just gammas not great system. Equipping these artifacts with skills will degrade them rapidly with movement you can repair them with a artifact of the same kind and the artifact melter but it isn't worth it as they decay far too rapidly. It makes skill based artifacts pretty useless imo there are some artifacts like miser that require you to have it equipped constantly in order to use it but who is going to remember to keep unequipping after fights and re equipping during fights? It's a very bad system it should be changed to if you have them in an artifact module they don't decay. This would make them worth using and not an annoyance.
@@Qloud7 Hey, yeah there's two ways to do this, there's an easier way then what I did, but less control. In the 'Mod configuration Menu' (in the main menu when you first start the game, and when you press ESC in-game) Go down to "Perk Artefacts" and move the slider for "condition degradation" to either 0.2, or 0 depending if you want any degradation or not. So the way it works, is every 20 seconds it degrades by the slider (percentage wise). So default is '2' so every 20 seconds it degrades by 2%. So the way we set up above will degrade it by 0.2% per 20 seconds. Now, let me know if you want more control, since what i did was edit the mod files so it wasn't every 20 seconds, but like every 2 minutes and go down by 0.1%
@@Ste12321 You may have noticed in mcm it has a huge message saying not to edit these settings. It can cause a bug where if you put an artifact in a container then take it out again it may have random condition this includes 100% condition artifacts that when taken out of a container will not be 100% condition anymore. Edit these settings at your own risk as this bug has happened to countless people and as far as I know this bug can't be fixed so your save will be permanently bugged.
@@rmcgowa1987 I haven't had any problems, but I'm pretty sure that bug is if you turn that other setting on, the setting that makes perks work even if in containers. Changing the percentage degradation "shouldn't" cause these bugs
This might be a silly question but how do you zoom without ADS? Happens at like 17:50, that'd be super useful for scopes. Also as someone 20 hours into a playthrough, it's CRAZY to see someone mosying through Wild Territory shrugging off mercs and radiation, I was fighting for my life trying to grab a single stash right near the entrance.
i feel overgeared watching you, you're rolling in the north territories with an SKS + OKP-7 while i took the time and effort to build up a perfect condition AK-105 after scavenging 2 AK's and buying a brand new bolt carrier from the technician at farm north of railway bridge, all while still in cordon.. even have a suppressor and 1p29 vulpan scope on it, and my SKS is also kitted with a PU scope from sidorovich. working towards getting an AK-105 "Swamp Thing" upgrade kit after i moved my hideout to great swamps
I have a bad habit of spending the majority of my time in the south and ending up with nearly endgame gear before I even go beyond army warehouses. I keep forgetting GAMMA actually has better loot further north in stashes.
Funny story, but in the original s.t.a.l.k.e.r game you find the body of Gordon Freeman in that tunnel where you got the chain. A nice Easter egg from the game devs.
yo my guy my pc is a 2060 and a i5 and i run it above 150 all the time, put grass denstiy to nearly lowest and because of the monolith engine it has built in antialising so you can put that to 2x and antrosopic filtring to 12 and hdoa or whatever the setting is after turn it off. the game looks amazing and runs smooth as butter, try it
22:42 GAMMA degrades artifacts very quickly by default. This is to encourage the use of the Artifact Smelter I think, but also to prevent you from getting one single chain and conquering death as well. I forgot what artifact I found, it was one that helps you recover by a fire slightly faster, and I nearly zero'd it using one time.
Ome of my favorite hideout was in Dead Air, the location was at Jupiter in the station train, there is one little house close to it and you have to take stairs in order to get to the top of that house. You should take a look there ;)
After testing the artifacts, both contained and not. They are all short term perks unless stated. They degrade quickly. I am not sure what happens yet with smelting them.
Better place if you don't mind shooting Monolith half the time you want to enter is a spot inside the Oasis. Keeps you safe, exit is on a high position so you can recon the area and the Monolith at the entrance can be a good source of loot.
Unfortunately he's in the military faction that's why I recommend places that are a bit remote although the AA complex is close to the scientist base it's a well good defense area in my opinion.
In GAMMA all artefacts degrade over time as they're being used. The rate is something like 3%/minute. So you get a little over 30mins of use out of any given artefact, and as they diminish, their power decreases. I turned that off in my own run. It adds one more thing to juggle and makes the game a little less fun in my opinion.
I wouldn't touch any of those settings The gamma team said touching these settings can break artifacts it even says now in these settings don't touch them.
@@OMGGaming360 well have fun you may notice that if you put artis in the metal boxes and take them out again they may come back out with random conditions this includes artis at 100% this is why you don't touch these settings.
Oh man, 8x MSAA is absolutely killing you performance wise. Try maxing out all the render distance, texture detail, and lighting/shadow stuff and flat out disable in game AA leaving only SMAA enabled. You definitely want SSDO enabled as well. MSAA is so expensive that you probably won't notice any decrease in performance with it disabled and all the other stuff mentioned increased. You will notice increased shimmering/aliasing with the inbuilt MSAA disabled but this is mitigated by using trees with actual leaves rather than the dead branches style (which is alias city), Anyways, I cannot stress enough how costly 8x MSAA is fps wise for not a whole lot of significant gain.
Depends on your playstyle. I personally go for an assault rifle as a main weapon and a long range rifle/shotgun as alternative sidearms depending on the range of the engagement. In close quarters I have the assault rifle as a main and shotgun in case I run out of ammo and am stuck in a very bad spot, and if I'm travelling the map and spot trouble at a distance, I'll use the sniper as the side arm and switch over to the assault rifle when they try to close the distance.
just started playing gamma on my RTX 4090 on 4k and Grass is by FAR the biggest Performance killer. I have everything else maxed out and it runs just decent but boy as soon Grass gets turned up it becomes unplayable.
So that thing that happened to you at 9:56 or so. yeah that exact thing happened to me except their was a whole patrol of Mercs, a Bloodsucker Alpha, two pretty strong Radiation pockets, an electronic anomaly blocking part of the running path, 3 snorks and a Burer right after managing to handle the Mercs and Bloodsucker Alpha. I spent a long fricken time in two, back-to-back, deathloops. I wanted to strangle Grok like he Bart Simpson. Currently I am over encumbered and now stuck between two _very_ large Bandit and Loner patrols slinging lead at each other and me. _yeah another deathloop_
best i ever had was getting like 30+ bandits invade the merc base in dead city during an emission. unfortunately it kept crashing so couldn't have any fun
You should definetly max everything in settings except grass, ambient occlusion set on SMAO. This game is super easy to run but just not greatly optimized.
@@Qloud7 I'm not really a fan of how free zoom works with collimator sights you aren't meant to be able to zoom with them and yet free zoom lets you do exactly this I hope it gets fixed somehow as it shouldn't be happening.

Either unlock them as a faction in a new game y completing the Mortal Sin story or type greh when you open the faction selection menu when starting a new game.
I'm just getting into anomaly and I'm having a bug that is making the sky unnaturally blue and everything has a blue tint do any of you know how to fix it?
Haven't seen that issue but could be a ReShade thing? maybe hit the home key and mess around with those settings. That or maybe it's a texture pack if you have one installed
The performance side of things, lower shadow settings just dumps it onto the CPU, I had better performance with higher shadow map and shadow settings in game. I have an i5 2500k and a 3060ti and so its an extreme usage case but made it obvious what the issue was, some settings being lower isn't always whats best for performance... like I'd reduce the AA/SMAA , AF and Grass and then Turn on SSAO as its likely little performance difference but a massive gain in visuals A large part of the visuals are light based and so having screen space set to off makes a huge difference, which would also be why you didn't notice the grass shadows as you'd likely need SSAO on to be able to view them properly lol, I have them off though as its a drain

What I did was edit the files to make the decay waayyy slower. Its so much better now
Ooo I like that idea, mind telling me what file/how you did that?
Probably late but look for free zoom in mcm settings
i feel overgeared watching you, you're rolling in the north territories with an SKS + OKP-7 while i took the time and effort to build up a perfect condition AK-105 after scavenging 2 AK's and buying a brand new bolt carrier from the technician at farm north of railway bridge, all while still in cordon.. even have a suppressor and 1p29 vulpan scope on it, and my SKS is also kitted with a PU scope from sidorovich. working towards getting an AK-105 "Swamp Thing" upgrade kit after i moved my hideout to great swamps
Watch your back cuz u could lose it in a blink of an eye
@@BOS_PML74_GAMING He never said anything about ironman
I have a bad habit of spending the majority of my time in the south and ending up with nearly endgame gear before I even go beyond army warehouses. I keep forgetting GAMMA actually has better loot further north in stashes.
Funny story, but in the original s.t.a.l.k.e.r game you find the body of Gordon Freeman in that tunnel where you got the chain. A nice Easter egg from the game devs.
yo my guy my pc is a 2060 and a i5 and i run it above 150 all the time, put grass denstiy to nearly lowest and because of the monolith engine it has built in antialising so you can put that to 2x and antrosopic filtring to 12 and hdoa or whatever the setting is after turn it off. the game looks amazing and runs smooth as butter, try it
Much preferable to using some other dude's bedroom as a safe workshop, for sure. Immersion +50
What's an artifact smelter and where do you get one?
You can buy one from the scientist in yantar I believe
Ome of my favorite hideout was in Dead Air, the location was at Jupiter in the station train, there is one little house close to it and you have to take stairs in order to get to the top of that house. You should take a look there ;)
oh nice! I checked it out in the video I'm making now
That carry weight tho :D
Switch to borderless (windowed) in the settings. Dunno why, but it increases FPS a lot.
Watching you wreck all those loners makes me irrationaly mad hahaha
After testing the artifacts, both contained and not. They are all short term perks unless stated. They degrade quickly. I am not sure what happens yet with smelting them.
Pro tip, you can low crouch crawl under the trains
also, in the bar you can pay 4-6k for a guide to bring you to zaton jupitor or other places. Just talk with each guide
Tower in Jupiter is the best place to be my base as long as i befriended with Freedom soldiers.
How much of a process is it to make them neutral as a military?
Better place if you don't mind shooting Monolith half the time you want to enter is a spot inside the Oasis. Keeps you safe, exit is on a high position so you can recon the area and the Monolith at the entrance can be a good source of loot.
Unfortunately he's in the military faction that's why I recommend places that are a bit remote although the AA complex is close to the scientist base it's a well good defense area in my opinion.
@@Qloud7 Also military is allied with duty it's a pain in the behind to make freedom neutral unless military and duty are at war
Was the artefact diminishing because of the amount of weight you were carrying?
The non radioactive ones diminish when you have them equipped, use artifact smelter to combine 2 of the same to recharge
Hey dude I'm new and I'm having trouble with crafting just a basic box for a stash, how do you pull up the crafting menu?
Right click on a basic tool kit
look in your mcm there should be a setting that turns off artefact decay in there
What is the mcm? 👀
@@Ghost-nm7si mod menu
I wouldn't touch any of those settings The gamma team said touching these settings can break artifacts it even says now in these settings don't touch them.
@@rmcgowa1987 It’s a risk you gotta take if you don’t like the setting I just started playing haven’t had any problems yet
Do you think a shotgun or a pistol is better as a sidearm?
Depends on your playstyle. I personally go for an assault rifle as a main weapon and a long range rifle/shotgun as alternative sidearms depending on the range of the engagement. In close quarters I have the assault rifle as a main and shotgun in case I run out of ammo and am stuck in a very bad spot, and if I'm travelling the map and spot trouble at a distance, I'll use the sniper as the side arm and switch over to the assault rifle when they try to close the distance.
Love your stalker vids
just started playing gamma on my RTX 4090 on 4k and Grass is by FAR the biggest Performance killer. I have everything else maxed out and it runs just decent but boy as soon Grass gets turned up it becomes unplayable.
what addon is that blurring background when inventory opens
Yo what scope are you using for the sks?
I think that's the OKP.. don't quote me on it haha
@@Qloud7 yeah thats an OKP-7. btw, great video!
Hey, do you also have deactivate the Shaders in Mo2 ?
I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I haven't changed any settings in MO2
didnt plant it... no stash noise 🤔
😂 I swear
Do you have a ripcord? You can drop you bag and be able to move around faster.
YES and I always forget about it lmao
Feel for you though. Just wait until you see tomorrows episode..

the emission storm shootouts are my favorite
best i ever had was getting like 30+ bandits invade the merc base in dead city during an emission. unfortunately it kept crashing so couldn't have any fun
REAL GAMMALE HOURS
You should definetly max everything in settings except grass, ambient occlusion set on SMAO. This game is super easy to run but just not greatly optimized.
It's actually intended to be ran on SDAO I discovered recently. It's part of the ascii shaders mod.
@@MintyLime703 I meant SSDO. My bad
What's the difference between stuff like this and anomaly.
19:35 i believe that is the anomaly you need, unless you can find any with unlisted ones.
How do you zoom/focus like that when you aim Qloud?
free zoom, by default i think its on mouse4
Yup it's on the side of my mouse. It might be a gamma thing I haven't seen it anywhere else
@@Qloud7 I'm not really a fan of how free zoom works with collimator sights you aren't meant to be able to zoom with them and yet free zoom lets you do exactly this I hope it gets fixed somehow as it shouldn't be happening.
Hey, there is new mod pack for anomaly called "reality", a lot of interesting stuff i personally never seen before, you might be interested to check it
I just watched the video, indeed it looks super cool too. I'm playing GAMMA with a winter mod too, so that's interesting
how did you turn on the mini map?
It’s default to “/“ I believe
How do you become a member of sin for that chain artefact?
You have an option to join as a loner towards the end of the main story, Im not sure how to do it as other factions im guessing the same way
Either unlock them as a faction in a new game y completing the Mortal Sin story or type greh when you open the faction selection menu when starting a new game.
What dx are you running?
The performance side of things, lower shadow settings just dumps it onto the CPU, I had better performance with higher shadow map and shadow settings in game. I have an i5 2500k and a 3060ti and so its an extreme usage case but made it obvious what the issue was, some settings being lower isn't always whats best for performance... like I'd reduce the AA/SMAA , AF and Grass and then Turn on SSAO as its likely little performance difference but a massive gain in visuals
A large part of the visuals are light based and so having screen space set to off makes a huge difference, which would also be why you didn't notice the grass shadows as you'd likely need SSAO on to be able to view them properly lol, I have them off though as its a drain
2nd is the best :D
i finally got gamma running. i just had to tell someone that lol. but the stories werent ported to it so ive been playing the 1st stalker game, with an unofficial patch and the big bug fixing mod. really great, really rough. have you played them? great vid

the fact that you didn't finish your sentence about what the upgraded PDA does cause you got distracted by mercs drove me fricking insane. what does it do!? i need to know!!!
Oh man I’m sorry ab that haha I explain it in either the next video or the one after but it shows you all the nearby friendlies on the map, and the version 3 PDA shows you friendlies and neutral factions!

what mod are you using for that reload animation?
Nice vid :) pls tell me m8 where i can find repair kits for outfit :( i play gamma today 8 hours....and no im not find any of these repair kits and traders dont have them :( or if u can tell me how i can enable dev mod for spawn these things :c plss
No problem! If you obtain a basic tool kit either by finding one or saving up ab 7 bottles of nimorov vodka and trading with the guy in yantar. You can use it to craft repair kits such as the ligh/med/heavy armor and also the rifle/handgun, etc..
Can someone explain to me what the hell shadow map even is?
Why do TH-camrs heart every comment so that no one knows what comments get hate?
Lmao no one’s hated on my channel yet knock on wood, I just heart the ones that I think are funny or helpful

If you want extra frames, either turn off AA or turn off SMAA.
