Absolutely! I understand Seán’s reservations, but those of us who are aware of what a kindhearted person he is will know that this wouldn’t be just a “Rich TH-camr flex.”
@@faiebul sadly, there will always be haters but i think it would be cool if he did a bit of a tour of his cinema room. I'm proud of him that he got this far in his career to be able to afford that kind of life! and I'm also proud of Ethan!! people shouldn't be made to feel ashamed of what they have!
Hot Fuzz is easily one of my the best movies of all time for me. Like you said, every time I watch it, I notice new details that I can't believe I missed.
You stay humble enough that I'd love to see the media room you talked about. You are honest and humble takes away the bragging rich people thing for me. Don't ever change!
As a person from costa rica...i love that movie but found the idea of san jose in the beach and dinosaur in isla de coco which is really small so frick funny
Hi Sean, long time watcher here, we put you on this (well deserved) pedestal it makes sense that you’d have an at home cinema as i can imagine going to a public one would be less relaxing than the average cinema goer due to the level of recognisability. Please do not feel ashamed of what you have accomplished and chosen to spend your money and time on, but also do not feel pressured into sharing every aspect of your home as you deserve privacy. I hope this doesn’t come off as preachy just wanted to add my two pennies ❤
Your ability to be humble and real is a reason that a lot of us keep watching. You have worked very hard to get where you are, and have had hellacious mental health due to the line of work that you do. TH-cam is not easy, the money that you have earned from it, and the other paths that it opened to you, is yours to do with as you wish. Work hard, play hard. Your showing the cinema room could give others an idea of what they may want to strive for. Just because someone has a Lambo, and you see them drive it, does not make them better than anyone else. Their character does. If it is a place that you find solace and comfort, and want to keep it to yourself that is okay. Telling us about it, and we know how you love audio. Any Let's Play tells us that , especially when the music or sound effects hit you. Thank you for sharing your top movies.
My top ten! 1. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes 2. The Dark Knight 3. Top Gun: Maverick 4. Se7en 5. Interstellar 6. The Silence of the Lambs 7. Mission: Impossible - Fallout 8. Aliens 9. Godzilla Minus One 10. Incepetion All of Sean’s choices are top tier!
My top 10: 1. Fantastic Mr Fox - I grew up with it and then rediscovered it as a teen and it's what inspired me to go in to studying film 2. Scream - the first classic horror movie that really connected with me when I was getting into horror in college 3. Aftersun - this has very recently joined the list of fave films as it is so recent, but it is so beautiful and i pick up on different details with every watch 4. As You Are - a beautiful coming of age film, that intertwines a thriller (?) subplot within its narrative. 90s set with nirvana (the band) themes 5. Daniel Isn't Real - a crazy cool horror with practical effects, also stars Miles Robbins who plays Dylan in The Quarry 6. A Quiet Place - blew my mind when I saw it for the first time that a film could use such little sound but be so grear, such a cool horror, the ending always makes me cry 7. Us/Get Out - can never pick between these two Jordan Peele film's, he's such an incredible modern day horror director 8. House of Wax (1953) - I would really encourage people to try films from the 40s-60s, especially horror films, seeing talents such as Vicent Price and directors such as William Castle, is so inspiring and amazing to see how horror was devloping over the years and to see what scared audiences at the time. FUN FACT!: William Castle was known to be a very interactive director and would include things such as pauses within films to taunt audiences into beleiving they weren't brave enough to carry on watching his films, as well as having 4D experiences with his film called The Tingler, where chairs would rattle!! 9. Juno - a film that explores teen pregnancy and a whole bunch of important subtle life lessons, this has been a recent discovery for me and has become such a heart felt, warm and fun film, never fails to make me laugh 10. Pride - a beautiful film about a group of queer activists in the 80s supporting the strike of the miners when margaret thatcher was PM, so beautiful and was one of the first gay film i watched and it really struck me. and some honourable mentions - Child's Play, PhoneBooth, Spiderman 2, The Crow (the orginal), Perfect Blue (which Black Swan is ripped off of!) Emporers New Groove, Boy Erased, Wall-e, The Holdovers. I could go on and on and on, I feel so lucky to be able to exist in a world where movies are, and to be able to experience old and new movies and see the improvements being made and also seeing where film began and how developments occured. Personally, I think horror is one of the best genres, it is the genre that can engulf you in fear, antipation, make you feel such vicersal reactions, or laugh at how bad they are. Horror is intertwined in politics, and allows writers and directors to speak their beliefs without saying it in your face. For example, Night of the Living Dead (1968), the first zombie movie made, had a black actor in it and depicted iconogrpahy that resembled the race riots in the 60s in america, and the vietnam war. I could talk forever about movies, but I'll stop now.
Scream is my favourite movie of all time, it’s such a classic. It’s so good that even though it was meant to poke fun at the cliches of slashers and accidentally revived the genre and inspired so many films that came later
Hey Jack! I'm in the middle of reading Return of the King after loving the movies for years but never reading the books. The movies came out before I was really ready to jump into books like that, so I experienced the story through the movies first like many people now. But holy crap, the books are like seeing the story with new eyes. It's like the experience I've always dreamed of with Dark Souls or Bloodborne: being able to experience a story for the first time all over again. The extra stuff with Faramir is incredible, Sam is so much deeper and The Ring stands as its own unseen character. The books start to change so much, it's this incredible experience where you are kept guessing even though we all know where the story goes. Anyway, sorry for the long comment! Highly recommend reading the books, its so worth it. You're the best, thanks for sharing so much with your community over the years!
In no particular order: -The Dive - As Above, So Below - Thirteen Lives - The Ritual - Sanctum - Poseidon - The impossible - The Wave - Annihilation - Nocturna I love cave diving/ natural disaster/ ship sinking horror/thriller movies (as is evident from my list lol), and movies where there is some unknown threat or change. PS: I love that you're sharing some of your special interests through these info dumps. I love it when people share their passions. And I also really appreciate the authenticity that you share with us through these videos. Thank you for sharing (:
Speaking as someone else who also adored the Lord of the Rings movies dearly before ever reading the books, I gotta say it rocked my WORLD to eventually take the time to read them (as long as you stay with it through a slow start, so worth it). Absolutely profound experience to feel the nuances of the story all written out.
I’d say my top 10 movies are (in no particular order): - Scott Pilgrim vs The World - Pulp Fiction - Across the Spider-Verse - Fight Club - Fantastic Mr. Fox - Back to the Future - Whiplash - Avengers Infinity War - 2001: A Space Odyssey - Akira
My top movies 1. Akira - I love the story, visuals, sound design and obscurity of the whole thing. It's a movie I'll never get tired of. 2. The Thing - Watched it for the first time on my 25th birthday with friends. Love the monsters and how scary it gets. 3. Princess Mononoke - Beautiful story that is so immersive every time I watch it. 4. Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe - I remember watching it with my 5th grade class for Christmas as a kid. It's stuck with me ever since with being a cozy comfort fantasy movie. 5. Hugo - Not the best movie out there but it has a special place for me. It inspired me so much at a vulnerable time in my life where I felt lost. It's so cozy and ties in a lot of film history. 6. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind - I love this movie solely for the creature and world design. It's just amazing and the story is decent as well. 7. Alien - A recent favorite. Adore the vibes and how I still get scared even after viewing it multiple times.
Perks of being a wallflower, heathers, fight club, welcome Home Roxy Carmichael, Sweeney Todd, Beetlejuice, Ferris Beulers day off, Dracula, Girl interrupted, and Lego Batman
Oh my gosh id love to see a house tour. i love seeing that sort of stuff because i cant ever find any good references for my house when i also have a ton of game statues and decor. i also just watched hot fuzz for the first time yesterday with some friends and i loved it!
I got gifted the LOTR trilogy for my 18th birthday but only read it 6 years later when I felt truly ready. Took me 1 year to complete, I wasn't rushing, read lots while seated in my garden and it was the best thing ever, felt like I could connect with the story more and understand it better because of my age and because of the nature surrounding me. I highly recommend reading LOTR whenever you feel ready, it's truly a masterpiece and an amazing, emotional journey. If anyone's worried about all the environment descriptions - they didn't bother me personally cause I allowed myself to let go if I didn't feel like visioning them all, I either took it all in, felt the landscape, the wind and the sensation or just read through without acknowledging it and it's all okay, whatever is best for your mind on the day, it was still beatiful and felt beautiful.
1. The Lost Boys 2. The Labyrinth (r.i.p Bowie) 3. Interview with a Vampire 4. Hot Fuzz 5. Scott Pilgrim 6. Baby Driver 7. Donnie Darko 8. Brightburn 9. Split 10. The Dark Crystal HB: LOTR, Time Bandits, Alien, Transformers, Hunger Games, and that's all I think.
My top 10 favourites (in no particular order) - fantastic mr fox (this is my number one that I could watch any time and repeatedly) - Jurassic Park - How to train your dragon - Star Wars Revenge of the Sith - The Avengers - Lilo and Stitch - Little Women 2019 - Song of the Sea - Dead Poets Society - The Princess Bride Honourable mention: LOTR Two Towers, Lady Bird, Ferris Buellers day off, A New Hope, X2, Kubo and the Two Strings
@hannahappa Little Women 2019 is one of my faves too! I love how it portrays the original novels (which I obsessively collect lol), and the actors are perfect for it!!
1. The Shawshank Redemption 2. Nightcrawler 3. The Imitation Game 4. The Batman 5. Hacksaw Ridge 6. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 7. The Fablemans 8. Everything Everywhere All At Once 9. Pain Hustlers 10. Almost Famous Side Note: There are movies that are higher than others on this list, but I wanted to spread out the genres and not have multiple movies in a series.
THANK YOU. I actually watched The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings for the first time recently, and I don't know why, but An Unexpected Journey really pulled me in.
I think my top ten would be 1. Phantom of the Opera (2004) The way they filmed that movie, the colors, the costumes and the music was all beautiful and hits hard. 2. Pride and Prejudice (2005) The actors, and music made what might’ve been a stagnant movie, into one of the best romances ever. 3. The Princess Bride. The most quotable movie of all time, comedy gold, great action and romance, it’s got everything. 4. Harry Potter honestly I can’t choose just one. The whole arc of emotion, the movies going from childhood whimsy to much darker serious tones is perfect. One of the best soundtracks of all time. 5. Mamma Mia. Just a really feel good misunderstanding movie. Great music and never fails to make me smile. 6. Alice in Wonderland (2010) I have a Cheshire tattoo on my back from this one. The CGI was flawless, voice acting and acting flawless. And just gorgeous to look at. Plus good soundtrack, saw in theatre’s and wish I could again. 7. VanHelsing (2004) It’s a lil cheesy but I quote this movie all the time, it’s so funny, but it doesn’t take away from the more serious parts. The fighting is great, and I cried at the end. Also love Hugh Jackman as a lead man. 8. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Will always be special in my heart, came out 2003. The story is just really interesting, every character is from a different story, brought together. The monsters were scary, the fighting was cool and I loved the way the characters came together by the end to work as a team. Also plot twists are always fun when done right. 9. Robinhood Men in Tights. Great comedy, hits all the marks, lil romance in there, love it. 10. Sound Of Music. Gorgeous retelling of a true story. Julie Andrews is a treasure to humanity. Amazing music, lovely settings, chemistry between actors, and outsmarting nazis. I know most of them are “girlie” but even my husband has come to love or like all of them. And he’s definitely more action oriented. I also love musicals quite a bit, but I know they aren’t for everyone. 🤷🏻♀️❤️ Anyway, much love Jack. Your picks were great.
I agree with nearly all your top picks! Scott Pilgrim has been watched repeatedly at this abode. I’ve also tried to watch all Simon Peg films. Love Wes Anderson’s work. Being a huge film enthusiast, it is difficult to narrow down favorites. Amadeus, Legend (1985), & Willow are just a few.
The only thing that kind of put me off was the "everybody and their mums" joke. Not that it wasn't funny, it honestly was, it just kind of felt forced the way it was delivered. Still, I absolutely adore the film.
i dont know if this would be generic but my top 10 would be the gentlemen - Guy Ritchie Alien - Ridley Scott Hateful 8 - Tarantino Nocturnal Animals - Tom Ford Before we go -Chris Evans Return of the king - Peter Jackson Not Another teen Movie - Joel Gallen Tropic Thunder - Ben Stiller Logan - James Mangold 3 Idiots - Rajkumar Hirani hope someone would get a good recommendation
Narrowing down a top 10 is really hard but my top 3 for sure are: 1. Jurassic Park 2. Godzilla: Minus One 3. Cloverfield Can't get enough of Sci-fi creature features
gotta add my own top 10 here 10. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou - It's a bizarre pick for a Wes Anderson film, but it just came to my attention at the right time I need it to. 9. Godzilla Minus One - I just loved to see such an emotional retelling of the original with it's own message prominent to a modern audience. 8. Princess Mononoke - Just my favourite Studio Ghibli Film, it can feel a bt long at points, but I think the bigger picture of what it's about really cements my love for it. 7. Dune Part Two - I always leaned more towards fantasy genres, and never could get into sci-fi as much as I tried, but this film was one of the ultimate sci-fi's for me. The themes, the cinematography, etc. 6. Coraline - the VIBES, one of the first thriller films I saw as a pretty young kid, and i think the scares hold up to this day, I won't lie. 5. The Green Knight - not a lot of people love this one, but it just hits the right vibes of a dark arthurian fantasy with just a different way of thinking about morality. 4. Jurassic Park - Dinosaurs and Storytelling 3. The Lighthouse - I am a huge Robert Eggars fan for so many reasons, and this is just one of the most atmospheric and eldritch sea feeling movies I've ever seen. 2. Lord of the Rings Return of the King - Very epic. 1. Everything, Everywhere, All At Once - Made me cry, such an impressive artist project
We have very different tastes in movies but the Truman show is also on my list, I also love The Wedding Singer, its so stupid but the end makes me cry, and About Time i could watch back to back happily, its a wonderul movie and a masterpiece
1. Fellowship of the ring (obviously) 2. the first Nightmare on elm street 3. the first Scream 4. the ring. 5. the breakfast club. 6. the truman show 7. all the bright places 8. the first saw movie 9. Archies final project 10. gotta be the amazing spiderman
since you asked so nicely, here’s my top 10 in no particular order just off the dome!! everything everywhere all at once - i saw this movie 10+ times in theaters and i swear it fundamentally changed my brain chemistry the avengers - absolute comfort movie for me as a long time marvel fan who grew up when the mcu was just starting candyman (2021) - i havent seen the original BUT this was one of the movies that really kicked off my fascination with horror movies as an adult spiderman no way home - i worked at a dine in movie theater at christmas time when this movie released and those hectic memories + the movie itself hold such a big place in my heart the great gatsby (2013) - another comfort watch!! baz lurhman is one of my fav directors and this movie is probably one of my favs (closely tied with strictly ballroom as an honorable mention) the holdovers - watched it just after new years this year and MAN that movie hits hard, especially since i love the vibe and aesthetics of these kinds of movies (think like the graduate n stuff) tangled - this is the best disney/princess movie to ME the shining - this movie was also a huge stepping stone for my blossoming love of horror movies & specifically psychological horror, i even wrote an essay on it in college! the royal tenenbaums - its tough to pick just ONE wes anderson movie, but bc i havent seen the others id normally consider in a while (darjeeling limited & life aquatic), this one holds a soft spot for me as someone who comes from a large, close knit and hella dysfunctional family maniac cop 2 - i LOVE campy horror movies and its probably my favorite genre, and if i had to pick only one to represent the bunch right now this one is definitely it, its an absolutely WILD watch and i cant recommend it enough if you like goofier horror & gore
1. 12 angry men - idk why it was so appealing to me 2. Shawshank Redemption 3. LoTR Two Towers 4. Coraline - loved how well put together this movie was even if most other movies I enjoy watching more. Plus it’s one of the only movies that made me uneasy, even more so than horror movies. 5. The dark knight 6. Goodwill hunting 7. A few dollars more - idk why ‘the good, the bad, and the ugly’ is rated higher than this movie in the franchise, but I loved it. 8-9. Kill bill franchise / John wick franchise- can’t really put any of the movies above the others 10. Truman show Honorable mentions - puss in boots last wish - when a movie I expect to be complete bum turns out amazing I love it a lot. - how to train your dragon - nigh perfect movie - Forrest Gump - Mad max fury road - Gladiator
I would love for Jack to show his theater and do a full house tour as well which would be something different then just doing video games which he is tired of making videos of regularly so something new might help him be more open and regular
My top 10 would probably change a little week to week, but some movies will always be floating in and out. Fifth Element, Memento, The Mask, Kingsmen, Your Name, Baby Driver, Star Wars, Scott Pilgrim...
My Top 10 in no order: 1. Baby Driver 2. Back to the Future 3. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 4. The Incredibles 5. Whiplash 6. The Dark Knight 7. Knives Out 8. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World 9. Black Panther 10. Inside Out
If I were to put my top ten (in no particular order) -PotC At Worlds End -Lotr Return of the King -Across the Spider Verse -Django Unchained -The Batman (2022) -Monty Python and the Holy Grail -Gladiator -Les Miserables 25th anniversary recording (not really a film but imma still count it) -Seven Samurai -Star Wars Revenge of the Sith
Some of my faves: Jurassic Park, Land Before Time, The Conjuring, Blair Witch Project, The VVitch, Twister, Titanic, Day of the Dead, Shawn of the Dead, Jaws, Midsommar
Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies. Since it came out six years before I was born, I had always wanted to see it in theaters. That dream coming true was the only good thing that happened during the start of the covid pandemic Edit: Almost forgot to say that I vividly remember the start-up for the DVD main menu for Jurassic Park is the Velociraptor's snout appearing from behind the window of the kitchen door and snorting steam onto the glass
@rickyspacexy8056 My autistic brain is not allowing me to understand what you're saying (before you say I'm making fun of someone who's on the spectrum, I'm not; I actually am autistic, and I got no clue what you're trying to say)
@rickyspacexy8056 Oh, okay. I've never seen Hot Fuzz, so I thought you were talking about Sean (please let me come around to watching it in my own time because if you force me to watch the movie I'll instantly hate it; it's why I hate Star Wars)
Yes!!! Never had it on DVD but we still have the VHS laying around somewhere. I only got to see it in theatres with my mum during the anniversary last year. It was such an experience, especially since i grew up watching it as a lil kid on my grandparent's floor
My top 10 but it's only the animated favourites 1. Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension - People might think this is a meme pick but this movie fr changed me and I'm still obsessed with this series to this day, there's actual stakes and the world building is so interesting - seeing what Doof as an actual evil villain, the dimensions - and all the songs are bangers of course, the emotional with arc Phineas and Perry like YES, so many good jokes and callbacks, THE BACKGROUND ART, THE ANIMATION!!! 2. Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse - literally obvious, it's a masterpiece, the second one is grouped with this too it's also amazing 3. The Steven Universe Movie - Steven's arc is SO interesting to me - people hate on him for it but it makes sense for his character so, songs are all bangers again, the animation is just a treat, Spinel is also a great villain I feel - you empathise with her but you also want her defeated - just overall, it's a feel good movie to me 4. Tangled - such a great retelling of Rapunzel and the magic hair is so iconic, banger soundtrack, all the characters are great, Rapunzel and Flynn are everything they're so cute, the lantern scene is so gorgeous, visually great like it's Disney, comfort movie can be cosy 5. Belle - (anime movie oh no) SUCH A COOL RETELLING OF Beauty and the Beast, the story of grief and finding your voice means a lot to me, another gorgeous movie, the choice to have 2D for the real world and 3D for virtual reality is so fun, Belle's design and costuming makes me go crazy so pretty, the soundtrack is so amazing - the songwriting and the lead's voice is so powerful it's just AAAH, the twist in regards to the beast doesn't do it for me - the fallout from it is also kinda confusing and eyebrow raising so the ranking is eh idk 6. Puss and Boots: The Last Wish - people were shocked by how good this one is and I was one of them, gorgeous movie, I LOVE the artstyle, the stylised design is so much better than realism leaning one for Puss, sound design is insane, one of the scariest villains in a PG animated movie and he's so COOL, another villain and he's evil because he's evil and it's GREAT, emotions etc 7. Luca - queer allegory I cried so much when I first watched it, the world is so GORGEOUS, the character designs are so cute, the voice actors were VOICE ACTING like the performance of Luca and Alberto is top tier, the animation is top tier obviously, I ADORE the animation of the scales / transformation to sea monster, cosy comfort movie, just a really sweet film 8. The Little Mermaid (1989) - it's a great such a comfort movie, masterpiece soundtrack of course, 2D Disney magic it's stunning, so many iconic moments, idk what else to say it's just good 9. Lilo and Stitch (2002) - makes me CRY another important series to me, we love found family and a weirdo with weirdo friendship story, it's so pretty and I love the character designs they're so unique, has so much heart to it has good laughs, Lilo autistic girl representation she was so me as a child, Pleakley being my introduction to queerness is iconic 10. Fantastic Mr Fox - Wes Anderson make another animated movie please, I love his camera work it's so TASTY, his style is iconic of course I love how warm the movie is it's cosy, the sets are so detailed as well SO GOOD, recording voicelines in different environments adds so much makes it feel like a real little world, the character models are all great, the wee foxes vaguely activate cute aggression in me, the weird energy of it is charming, good balance of the funny and the serious
Love this video! There are so many great choices. Surprised by Paranormal Activty, but only bc so many people hate on it. I'm glad someone else was also effected by the bear scene in Annihilation, it actually gave me nightmares. Was hoping The Thing would have made the list, it's one of my all time favorites.

My favorite movie is Studio Ghibli’s The Tale of Princess Kaguya. It’s one that not many people have seen but it needs to be more well known! It’s gorgeous and has such a powerful message. Love this kind of content from you Sean! Sad to see the podcast go because it was always a pleasure to listen to while I cleaned at work, but I'm so happy that you're going to have more time to put towards doing things and making things that you enjoy! I will watch anything you make, but stuff like this is fantastic!

@@FlakeyRice when I went to see Us in the theaters. I heard 2 women behind me (drunk) say out loud "am I supposed to be scared? Because I'm just laughing and not really that scared."
Pog list for greatest films ever made, few great picks recalled from past vids. Gaelic Gladiator mane continues to shine. Tack for sharing your to favs Mate 🐺🐾
With everything you've mentioned about horror, I have to recommend the Magnus Archives. It's a podcast but it has an amazing overarching story and delves into the psychology of terror and fear.
Ok so my top 10 will be a mix of nostalgia and like actual good movies. 1. Titanic - Such nostalgia but also it’s just a great film all around. It came out when I was 8 and I wasn’t supposed to see it but I saw it anyway 😅 it kickstarted my obsession with Leo DiCaprio 2. Pulp Fiction - I loooooove Quentin Tarantino and this is his best film imo. 3. Avatar (blue aliens) - James Cameron is one of my favourite directors and the theatre experience was mind blowing. The CGI is still some of the best cgi of all time and the acting is stellar. 4. Kill Bill Part 1 - that fight scene is chefs kiss. 5. The Green Mile- I cry every time I watch it, and I’ve seen it like 30 times. 6. The Lion King - still my favourite Disney film of all time, full of nostalgia. 7. The Princess Bride - I just wove it. 8. The Shawshank Redemption- a classic 9. The Dark Knight - honestly it deserves to be higher but 🤷🏻♀️ 10. Charlie’s angels - please don’t judge me okay 😂 10.
My top 10 in no particular order is probably: 1: Perfect Days (only seen it once but still think of it daily and will probably be my number one comfort movie) 2: The Book Of Life (Absolutely adorable) 3: What We Do In the Shadows (probably my favourite comedy movie) 4: Talk To Me (I don't know what wizardry they did but it absolutely terrified me in cinemas like I hadnt felt in a long while.) 5: The Phantom Menace. (Its one of the movies I vividly remember endlessly watching on VHS and it was where my love for Star Wars began.) 6: Parasite (this was probably the first movie I saw where my eyes opened to more movies than just big blockbusters.) 7: The Hobbit AUJ. (This was probably one of the first big fantasy movies I saw in cinemas and I adored the book as a kid. Though it wasn't a great adaptation I still hold it dear due to the memories.) 8: Past Lives (I don't really watch romance type movies usually so I was really susprised by how much this movie moved me. Some of the dialogue in there was so beautifully written.) 9: Halloween 2018 (This was probably the first horror movie I saw in cinemas with my best friend and I remember we jumped so many times. Fond memories.) 10: Pirates of The Caribbean 2 (I just remember absolutely loving this movie and its honestly probably where my love for movie soundtracks *and hans zimmer in general* started.)
Show the cinema room! It’s not bragging when you’ve earned not just your success but the respect your audience has for you. You certainly don’t hide how much you appreciate what you have and do and why you have it. So show it off, get excited about it because the passion you have is a huge part of why your audience loves you and your work.
Would love a tour of the cinema room. I think at least half of yours (esp the cornetto trilogy are in my top favourite movies) Other all-time personally favourites are "Run, Lola, Run”, “I heart huckabees”, “Little Miss Sunshine”, “Bullworth”, “Roshamon”, “Ghost World”, “Igby Goes Down”, “Blair Witch Project”, Waking Life”, “Darjeeling Limited”, “Jack and the Cuckoo Clock Heart”, and pretty much anything Studio Ghibli and horror in general (esp, ghost and possession stories)
Dazed and Confused is one of my dad's top favorite movies and he showed it to me when I was about 14. Great memories and now one of my favorites too. I knew most of the songs already when we watched it, because he always had that soundtrack playing in the car, he had the CD. 😊
Loved this video, its so interesting seeing favourites from anyone especially from someone who talks about them in such a unique way, Jack I'd love for you to do some lists on your T.V shows, your anime, your music, your books. My top films would be probably along the lines of Inception(same reason as jack with hot fuzz as every rewatch yields more unnoticed details), Howls Moving Castle, Whiplash, Pirates of the Caribbean, Coraline, and Spider-Man 2.
*Edit: At **18:27**, Seán mentioned that he loves The World’s End. I originally wrote this before I got to that part.* *I still think it’s disappointing and pales in comparison to its two predecessors, but he’s certainly entitled to his own opinion.* I’ve been wanting Seán to do some type of Movie Tier List ever since he did one on his Nine Favorite Games! I was late to Hot Fuzz, but I vividly remember when Shaun of The Dead was released in theaters and I love them both! I wonder if Seán was as disappointed in The World’s End as I was. Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright are all brilliant so I don’t understand why the infamous Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy capped off on such a sour note. I have the Trilogy on BluRay and I can go back to the first two multiple times, but I’ve only been able to sit through the third film once. I don’t know why I went down this Cornetto rabbit hole. Hell… why not? 💚🤗🤗💚
My top 10 (Some not my favourites but the best that I've watched, and not going to repeat franchises nor directors): 10. Logan: The best marvel movie and nothing comes even close to it. 9. Joker: I wanted to put The Dark Knight but I've got another Nolan film that I prefer over it higher on the list, so I went with the second best DC movie. 8. Toy Story 3: The Perfect end to any [trilogy] in my opinion and has remained one of my favourites ever since I saw it. 7. Everything, Everywhere, All At Once: An amazing movie that is a film student's wet dream. 6. Schindler's List: ... It's Schindler's List. 5. Whiplash: J.K. Simons carries this movie and doesn't let you give up your anxiety. 4. How to Train Your Dragon: The animation still holds up, the soundtrack is flawless, and is one of the best movies to come out of the 2010s. 3. The Shawshank Redemption: A classic that stands the test of time, from the directing, to the writing. 2. Oppenheimer: When I fist watched this masterpiece over a year ago, I was floored with everything Nolan was able to accomplish, from the tremendous acting, to the haunting but beautiful score to the awe-inspiring cinematography. 1. Revenge of the Sith: I have been a die hard Star Wars fan for my whole life (very dangerous to say now) and this movie is one of the core reasons why.
Sean, we’d love to see your theatre room. You’ve never really flaunted your wealth the way so many TH-camrs have. You only ever show off the cool nerdy shit you get because you’re genuinely excited about it and your sincerity translates very clearly. Show us all the cool shit you wanna show us!!!
11:43 as a major fan of horror movies, and also someone growing up in the age of the internet, i just wanna say, we *do* have those experiences, they're just kind of rare! one notable example for me was when barbarian (2022) came out-- all of the promotional material was very secretive about the actual plot of the movie, and i (just naturally) avoid spoilers as much as possible, so i was able to get the shit scared out of me because of it!!
0:12 Skyrim reference? Mine would be: 10: Avengers Age of Ultron 9: Fantastic Mr Fox 8: The 1st Hunger Games 7: The FNAF movie 6: Star Wars Revenge of the Sith. 5: LOTR: the two towers. 4: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol3 3: Infinity War 2: Watchmen 1: How to train your Dragon: the hidden world. Honourable Mentions: Ile of dogs, Dune part 2 and Shrek.
Top Ten is a tough choice... 1. Last Unicorn or Donnie Darko 2. A Single Man (very underappreciated, Colin Firth is amazing and it describes my experiences with depression so well) 3. Matrix 4. Shaun of the dead or Hot Fuzz or Scott Pilgrim (actually "Spaced" if it was a movie and not a show) That's when it gets tricky. There's a lot of movies that could get into my top ten. Paranormal Activity, Rubber, The Ring, Blair witch project, definitely Horror movies that I loved. Dark Crystal, Never Ending Story (love the 80s/ Jim Hanson kind of Fantasy movies that are creepy and dark)... You could actually kind of count Star Wars to that to some degree. Mad Max Fury Road and the first Deadpool are movies that I've seen a couple of times in cinema. I think I saw Mad Max like 3 times. I'm not the biggest fan of action movies but that one did it for me. First Alien movie and 2001 (again and star wars) as sci fi movies, though arrival and Annihilation are also both absolutely fantastic. I also love Tom Hardy as an actor and I absolutely love Bronson. The Wonder Boys with Robert Downey Jr and Tobey Mcguire is also an underappreciated movie. There's probably lots I forgot just now that could equally take those spots. Again, after the first 5 it gets pretty tricky.
this was such a lovely video, it was nice to hear you talk about the stuff you like. this type of video is all i really wanna watch on youtube these days haha and personally id love to see the media room!
The entire Cornetto trilogy is one of the best movie trilogies of all time, (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End) and I honestly think The World’s End is the funniest
This is a top-tier list! And I agree with you 100% about Annihilation. Dude, I would love to hear you talk more about movies, and I would love to see your theatre room! My Top 10 (this is hard): - Pacific Rim - The Prestige - Alien - The Thing - Captain America: The Winter Soldier - The Lord of the Rings (I can't separate them, lol) - The Exorcist - Silence of the Lambs - Star Trek '09 - The Dark Knight Top Honourable Mentions: Jaws, Halloween, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Predator, Arrival
Some of my favs from all genres: Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Shining, Alice in Wonderland (original, animated), Monsters Inc, Nightmare Before Christmas, Green Mile, Enter the Void, Jason Bourne trilogy, La La Land, Castaway, Superbad, Pineapple Express, Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail
I dig this type of sharing content! Feels like a great "just chatting" session. As for the movie theatre tour, man, if you want to go for it and it okay to keep some of the cool stuff just for you.
Greatest movies ever made 👀 Here comes the tier list. Few of them I recall from past vids, great to see that there's more added to the roster. Great to hear about the reasons why someone enjoys a film, & share their passion about it. Danke for sharing, Hope everyone is doing well. Keep it up Bro 🍀 😎 👊
Hey bud, love the second channel! I've been in and out of watching main channel content for years, always loved you as a guy, glad I get my parasocial itch scratched with vlog content now. Keep on keeping it real man!
Deadpool 1 is my favourite comfort movie. I rewatch that so much and laugh at it every time. I also love pulp fiction like you mentioned. But I also really like saving private Ryan. And I think Rango is so underrated and is possibly one of if not the best animated film ever (spiderverse depending). But my favourite franchise has got to be planet of the apes (not one bad movie and is so underrated)
I was thinking about my all time favorite movies because you asked us to share our own list and as I was forming the list in my head I realized that all of my favorite movies are my favorites because of the memories that I have surrounding them. My favorites are my favorites because I have such great memories of watching them with my sister, my best friend since middle school, or my dad and every time I rewatch them I get to relive those memories of watching them together. So these are my favorites in no particular order: 1. The Grinch, Jim Carrey version only. This is my favorite movie ever, I know every line and can pantomime along with it. I watch it every Christmas and have with my sister every year since it came out. 2. Jingle All the Way, I love Christmas movies and this movie is the first Christmas movie that my dad and I watch each year to start the Christmas season. We’ve watched together since I was little. 3. The Saw movie franchise, only the original story from Saw 1 to Saw 3D/Saw 7. In my opinion they should have stopped there and just wrapped it up, and yes I know these films aren’t great, but the ending of 7 made all of them worth the watch. 4. The Harry Potter series, I feel fortunate to have gotten to watch these as they came out. And as I was growing up the books and movies were coming out and the hype around Harry Potter was like no other. It’s such a powerful and beloved story by so many that people, including me, are still watching and talking about it today. 5. The Hunger Games series. I’m realizing now that I love a movie that takes several movies to finish the story. 6. Austin Powers the Spy Who Shagged me. All of these are great, but there’s just something about this one that tickles my funny bone. 7. The Fifth Element. My dad and I love this movie so much that when I got married, there was a section of our father daughter dance where we danced to The Diva Dance. 8. Galaxy Quest. Another one of my dad’s favorites. 9. Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. Unmatched comedy. 10. Dodgeball. This movie used to play on the tv all the time. Literally felt like everyday, such a comfort movie to me. Any movie that is quotable is a favorite of mine and anyone that’s close to me. My sister and I say that we speak in movie quotes, I’m really glad that we have that bond. I’m sure there’s a lot of people that can relate. And if you’ve read this far thank you for caring enough about what I had to say to stick around. And if you have the same taste in movies as me then we should be friends!
i’d love a tour of the cinema room, i don’t think anyone will take it as bragging, just showing something you’re passionate about!
i second this!
Agreed we’ve seen him grow from a cabin where his heater barely worked to a man that can own a home cinema.
Yes, please.
3:35 the editor making frodo and samwise kiss is TOP TIER editing, you've done a great service trey
Happy to make all of our dreams come true
19:55 do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it
jack is such a cozy man
You stay humble enough that I'd love to see the media room you talked about. You are honest and humble takes away the bragging rich people thing for me. Don't ever change!
As a dinosaur enthusiast my entire life, Sean talking about Jurassic Park is PHENOMENAL.😊
I saw it in the theater when I was 10 years old, it was amazing!
I was 8 when I saw it in theaters. The only film as defining to my entire being was the 1999 cinema classic The Mummy.
I read it ‘As a dinosaur myself’
Who else really wants Sean to give a theater tour?!
I love that jack is just letting his hair do its own thing 😭😭
Honestly, some hair is just not worth fighting with
If he keeps this up, he's gonna end up looking like Charlie, not that that's a bad thing
Dude, the hair looks badass.
He's going for the Irish Highlander look.
The silver fox thing could work.
I love this. I would 100% happily watch (and re-watch) a Sean+Evelin commentary of their favorite films.
My top ten!
1. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
2. The Dark Knight
3. Top Gun: Maverick
4. Se7en
5. Interstellar
6. The Silence of the Lambs
7. Mission: Impossible - Fallout
8. Aliens
9. Godzilla Minus One
10. Incepetion
All of Sean’s choices are top tier!
Finally planet of the ape reboot series mentions lol. The reboot trilogy are so underrated
This is such a cinematography heavy list lol. Love it though!
Love planet of the apes, I think Dawn is my favorite of the trilogy!
normies
Interstellar my beloved
Trey is having so much fun with this video, and I'm *loving* it!
My top 10:
1. Fantastic Mr Fox - I grew up with it and then rediscovered it as a teen and it's what inspired me to go in to studying film
2. Scream - the first classic horror movie that really connected with me when I was getting into horror in college
3. Aftersun - this has very recently joined the list of fave films as it is so recent, but it is so beautiful and i pick up on different details with every watch
4. As You Are - a beautiful coming of age film, that intertwines a thriller (?) subplot within its narrative. 90s set with nirvana (the band) themes
5. Daniel Isn't Real - a crazy cool horror with practical effects, also stars Miles Robbins who plays Dylan in The Quarry
6. A Quiet Place - blew my mind when I saw it for the first time that a film could use such little sound but be so grear, such a cool horror, the ending always makes me cry
7. Us/Get Out - can never pick between these two Jordan Peele film's, he's such an incredible modern day horror director
9. Juno - a film that explores teen pregnancy and a whole bunch of important subtle life lessons, this has been a recent discovery for me and has become such a heart felt, warm and fun film, never fails to make me laugh
I want to talk about movies with you 🍿
HELL YEAH FANTASTIC MR FOX IS GOATED
This is just good vibes! It feels like a chill night with the lads talking movies 'round the couch with the TV in the background
In no particular order:
-The Dive
- As Above, So Below
- Thirteen Lives
- The Ritual
- Sanctum
- Poseidon
- The impossible
- The Wave
- Annihilation
- Nocturna
I love cave diving/ natural disaster/ ship sinking horror/thriller movies (as is evident from my list lol), and movies where there is some unknown threat or change.
PS: I love that you're sharing some of your special interests through these info dumps. I love it when people share their passions. And I also really appreciate the authenticity that you share with us through these videos. Thank you for sharing (:
The Ritual W
I love how every single movie he brought up made me go ‘YEAH BABY, THATS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR’
Speaking as someone else who also adored the Lord of the Rings movies dearly before ever reading the books, I gotta say it rocked my WORLD to eventually take the time to read them (as long as you stay with it through a slow start, so worth it). Absolutely profound experience to feel the nuances of the story all written out.
I’d say my top 10 movies are (in no particular order):
- Scott Pilgrim vs The World
- Pulp Fiction
- Across the Spider-Verse
- Fight Club
- Fantastic Mr. Fox
- Back to the Future
- Whiplash
- Avengers Infinity War
- 2001: A Space Odyssey
- Akira
2001 SPACE ODYSSEY MENTION LESSSS GOOO
Back to the Future? Allow me to shake your hand.
Fantastic mr fox is amazing
Fantastic mr fox is such an underrated masterpiece
Solid list!
My top movies
Perks of being a wallflower, heathers, fight club, welcome
Home Roxy Carmichael, Sweeney Todd, Beetlejuice, Ferris Beulers day off, Dracula, Girl interrupted, and Lego Batman
You might be my new favourite person
Lego Batman ftw
@@Jax_d00kie Ferris Beuler mentioned
Aw man I love Perks. Also haven't watched Fight Club in a minute and need to change that.
HEATHERS MENTIONED RAAAAGGGGHHHH
I LOVED Fellowship. I made it through Towers. I didn't get past the first few pages of Return.
They really are amazing books. ❤
As a cinephile I would absolutely love to see your film room! I don't see it as showing off at all, it's just sharing passions :)

@hannahappa Little Women 2019 is one of my faves too! I love how it portrays the original novels (which I obsessively collect lol), and the actors are perfect for it!!
How to Train Your Dragon will forever be in my top 5 😔🙌🏼
YES! I FINALLY FOUND SOMEONE WHO PREFERS THE TWO TOWERS OVER THE OTHER TWO FILMS! Also, Lilo & Stitch is a based choice. Respect.
1. The Shawshank Redemption
2. Nightcrawler
3. The Imitation Game
4. The Batman
5. Hacksaw Ridge
6. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
7. The Fablemans
8. Everything Everywhere All At Once
9. Pain Hustlers
10. Almost Famous
Side Note: There are movies that are higher than others on this list, but I wanted to spread out the genres and not have multiple movies in a series.
Yes! The hobbit gets shit on but I loved it.
THANK YOU. I actually watched The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings for the first time recently, and I don't know why, but An Unexpected Journey really pulled me in.
Ooo yes Shawshank is amazing
forgot about nightcrawler. Yes!! I thought I'd be the only person to mention Almost Famous too lol
First other Everything Everywhere All At Once Ive seen lez gooooo
I think my top ten would be
Princess Bride!! Yes!
And Robin hood men in tights!!!
I forgot those!!
Uhhh i love the Sound of music
@@kautzilove9738 that’s great, I watch it every year during Christmas time
@@miracleaustin9708 much loved classics
I agree with nearly all your top picks! Scott Pilgrim has been watched repeatedly at this abode. I’ve also tried to watch all Simon Peg films. Love Wes Anderson’s work.
Being a huge film enthusiast, it is difficult to narrow down favorites. Amadeus, Legend (1985), & Willow are just a few.
Hot Fuzz is the tightest script in history - i challenge you to find a scene or line of dialogue that doesnt need to be there.
The only thing that kind of put me off was the "everybody and their mums" joke. Not that it wasn't funny, it honestly was, it just kind of felt forced the way it was delivered. Still, I absolutely adore the film.
i dont know if this would be generic but my top 10 would be
the gentlemen - Guy Ritchie
Alien - Ridley Scott
Hateful 8 - Tarantino
Nocturnal Animals - Tom Ford
Before we go -Chris Evans
Return of the king - Peter Jackson
Not Another teen Movie - Joel Gallen
Tropic Thunder - Ben Stiller
Logan - James Mangold
3 Idiots - Rajkumar Hirani
hope someone would get a good recommendation
Narrowing down a top 10 is really hard but my top 3 for sure are:
1. Jurassic Park
2. Godzilla: Minus One
3. Cloverfield
Can't get enough of Sci-fi creature features
i'd love to see the cinema room, you're humble af jack none of us would consider it bragging ahah we're just happy for you!
gotta add my own top 10 here
4. Jurassic Park - Dinosaurs and Storytelling
Coraline mentioned fuck yeah

everything everywhere all at once - i saw this movie 10+ times in theaters and i swear it fundamentally changed my brain chemistry
the avengers - absolute comfort movie for me as a long time marvel fan who grew up when the mcu was just starting
candyman (2021) - i havent seen the original BUT this was one of the movies that really kicked off my fascination with horror movies as an adult
spiderman no way home - i worked at a dine in movie theater at christmas time when this movie released and those hectic memories + the movie itself hold such a big place in my heart
the great gatsby (2013) - another comfort watch!! baz lurhman is one of my fav directors and this movie is probably one of my favs (closely tied with strictly ballroom as an honorable mention)
the holdovers - watched it just after new years this year and MAN that movie hits hard, especially since i love the vibe and aesthetics of these kinds of movies (think like the graduate n stuff)
tangled - this is the best disney/princess movie to ME
the shining - this movie was also a huge stepping stone for my blossoming love of horror movies & specifically psychological horror, i even wrote an essay on it in college!
the royal tenenbaums - its tough to pick just ONE wes anderson movie, but bc i havent seen the others id normally consider in a while (darjeeling limited & life aquatic), this one holds a soft spot for me as someone who comes from a large, close knit and hella dysfunctional family
maniac cop 2 - i LOVE campy horror movies and its probably my favorite genre, and if i had to pick only one to represent the bunch right now this one is definitely it, its an absolutely WILD watch and i cant recommend it enough if you like goofier horror & gore
1. 12 angry men - idk why it was so appealing to me
2. Shawshank Redemption
3. LoTR Two Towers
4. Coraline - loved how well put together this movie was even if most other movies I enjoy watching more. Plus it’s one of the only movies that made me uneasy, even more so than horror movies.
5. The dark knight
6. Goodwill hunting
7. A few dollars more - idk why ‘the good, the bad, and the ugly’ is rated higher than this movie in the franchise, but I loved it.
8-9. Kill bill franchise / John wick franchise- can’t really put any of the movies above the others
10. Truman show
Honorable mentions
- puss in boots last wish - when a movie I expect to be complete bum turns out amazing I love it a lot.
- how to train your dragon - nigh perfect movie
- Forrest Gump
- Mad max fury road
- Gladiator
Hot Fuzz is an ELITE movie. Im glad I’m not the only one who thinks it’s top tier
My Top 10 in no order:
1. Baby Driver
2. Back to the Future
3. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
4. The Incredibles
5. Whiplash
6. The Dark Knight
7. Knives Out
8. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
9. Black Panther
10. Inside Out
Were you rushing or were you dragging?
uggh love Baby Driverrr
If I were to put my top ten (in no particular order)
-PotC At Worlds End
-Lotr Return of the King
-Across the Spider Verse
-Django Unchained
-The Batman (2022)
-Monty Python and the Holy Grail
-Gladiator
-Les Miserables 25th anniversary recording (not really a film but imma still count it)
-Seven Samurai
-Star Wars Revenge of the Sith
Some of my faves: Jurassic Park, Land Before Time, The Conjuring, Blair Witch Project, The VVitch, Twister, Titanic, Day of the Dead, Shawn of the Dead, Jaws, Midsommar
Please show us your cinema room. I love that ish.
Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies. Since it came out six years before I was born, I had always wanted to see it in theaters. That dream coming true was the only good thing that happened during the start of the covid pandemic
Edit: Almost forgot to say that I vividly remember the start-up for the DVD main menu for Jurassic Park is the Velociraptor's snout appearing from behind the window of the kitchen door and snorting steam onto the glass
Love Hot Fuzz! Did you tell him too chill out? No. Shame…
@rickyspacexy8056 My autistic brain is not allowing me to understand what you're saying (before you say I'm making fun of someone who's on the spectrum, I'm not; I actually am autistic, and I got no clue what you're trying to say)
@@invaderaries7364 Just the part in the movie when Simon pegg knocks the big guy out into the freezer.
My top 10 but it's only the animated favourites
2. Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse - literally obvious, it's a masterpiece, the second one is grouped with this too it's also amazing
3. The Steven Universe Movie - Steven's arc is SO interesting to me - people hate on him for it but it makes sense for his character so, songs are all bangers again, the animation is just a treat, Spinel is also a great villain I feel - you empathise with her but you also want her defeated - just overall, it's a feel good movie to me
4. Tangled - such a great retelling of Rapunzel and the magic hair is so iconic, banger soundtrack, all the characters are great, Rapunzel and Flynn are everything they're so cute, the lantern scene is so gorgeous, visually great like it's Disney, comfort movie can be cosy
5. Belle - (anime movie oh no) SUCH A COOL RETELLING OF Beauty and the Beast, the story of grief and finding your voice means a lot to me, another gorgeous movie, the choice to have 2D for the real world and 3D for virtual reality is so fun, Belle's design and costuming makes me go crazy so pretty, the soundtrack is so amazing - the songwriting and the lead's voice is so powerful it's just AAAH, the twist in regards to the beast doesn't do it for me - the fallout from it is also kinda confusing and eyebrow raising so the ranking is eh idk
6. Puss and Boots: The Last Wish - people were shocked by how good this one is and I was one of them, gorgeous movie, I LOVE the artstyle, the stylised design is so much better than realism leaning one for Puss, sound design is insane, one of the scariest villains in a PG animated movie and he's so COOL, another villain and he's evil because he's evil and it's GREAT, emotions etc
7. Luca - queer allegory I cried so much when I first watched it, the world is so GORGEOUS, the character designs are so cute, the voice actors were VOICE ACTING like the performance of Luca and Alberto is top tier, the animation is top tier obviously, I ADORE the animation of the scales / transformation to sea monster, cosy comfort movie, just a really sweet film
8. The Little Mermaid (1989) - it's a great such a comfort movie, masterpiece soundtrack of course, 2D Disney magic it's stunning, so many iconic moments, idk what else to say it's just good
9. Lilo and Stitch (2002) - makes me CRY another important series to me, we love found family and a weirdo with weirdo friendship story, it's so pretty and I love the character designs they're so unique, has so much heart to it has good laughs, Lilo autistic girl representation she was so me as a child, Pleakley being my introduction to queerness is iconic
I'm actually so happy jack likes LOTR because it was filmed in my country :D
Love this video! There are so many great choices. Surprised by Paranormal Activty, but only bc so many people hate on it. I'm glad someone else was also effected by the bear scene in Annihilation, it actually gave me nightmares. Was hoping The Thing would have made the list, it's one of my all time favorites.

NIMONA MENTION🗣️
I adore this type of content as a fellow cinephile. I would love to see a video of you going through your favorite movies in each genre or doing movie reviews!
Ferngullly, Saw , Ghostbusters, Deadpool, how to train your dragon, exorcist, rocky horror picture show, , legends of the guardians, Indiana jones (all of them) , nimona , clue... Those are the movies i can think of off the top of my head.
I need to see this cinema room because I’m starting to remodel one of guest rooms into a cinema room and would love to have some ideas from you!
My favorite movie is Studio Ghibli’s The Tale of Princess Kaguya. It’s one that not many people have seen but it needs to be more well known! It’s gorgeous and has such a powerful message. It is more somber but it can’t be beat.
Other mentions in no particular order
-Robots
-Calamity Jane (with Doris Day)
-Cinderella (2015 Disney)
-Cinderella (1997 Rodger’s and Hammerstein)
-Spiderwick Chronicles
-The Neverending Story
-Howl’s Moving Castle
I was super surprised to see a Doogle reference in the edit! Such a fever dream of a movie!
Yo i havent thought about "Robots" in a MINUTE xD
Cinderella 2015 is a respectable choice. Definitely one of the better Disney remakes.
7:16 You should check out Michael Crichton's original novels that inspired the series to begin with. Much more horror-centered than the book
My top 10 fave movies:
1. Into the Spider-verse
2. Whisper of the Heart
3. The Grand Budapest Hotel
4. The Truman Show
5. Arrival
6. Princess Mononoke
7. Wall-E

9. The Fabelmans
10. RRR
also, please make a tour video for your theatre room. It would be so cool to see. I love theatre rooms!!!
Whisper of the Heart W
Love this kind of content from you Sean! Sad to see the podcast go because it was always a pleasure to listen to while I cleaned at work, but I'm so happy that you're going to have more time to put towards doing things and making things that you enjoy! I will watch anything you make, but stuff like this is fantastic!

"The only difference between Horror and Comedy is the music" - Jordan Peele
@@FlakeyRice when I went to see Us in the theaters. I heard 2 women behind me (drunk) say out loud "am I supposed to be scared? Because I'm just laughing and not really that scared."
@@kaorisiberian22 It's pretty surreal, everytime I think about it I just imagine The Exorcist with the Benny Hill theme playing
Pog list for greatest films ever made, few great picks recalled from past vids. Gaelic Gladiator mane continues to shine. Tack for sharing your to favs Mate 🐺🐾
Why is buff gandalf actually terrifying?
i was so desensitized to gandalf's big naturals that ripped gandalf was an insane thing to see appear
*hot
With everything you've mentioned about horror, I have to recommend the Magnus Archives. It's a podcast but it has an amazing overarching story and delves into the psychology of terror and fear.
Ok so my top 10 will be a mix of nostalgia and like actual good movies.
1. Titanic - Such nostalgia but also it’s just a great film all around. It came out when I was 8 and I wasn’t supposed to see it but I saw it anyway 😅 it kickstarted my obsession with Leo DiCaprio
8. The Shawshank Redemption- a classic
9. The Dark Knight - honestly it deserves to be higher but 🤷🏻♀️
10. Charlie’s angels - please don’t judge me okay 😂
10.
My top 10 in no particular order is probably:
1: Perfect Days (only seen it once but still think of it daily and will probably be my number one comfort movie)
2: The Book Of Life (Absolutely adorable)
3: What We Do In the Shadows (probably my favourite comedy movie)
4: Talk To Me (I don't know what wizardry they did but it absolutely terrified me in cinemas like I hadnt felt in a long while.)
5: The Phantom Menace. (Its one of the movies I vividly remember endlessly watching on VHS and it was where my love for Star Wars began.)
6: Parasite (this was probably the first movie I saw where my eyes opened to more movies than just big blockbusters.)
7: The Hobbit AUJ. (This was probably one of the first big fantasy movies I saw in cinemas and I adored the book as a kid. Though it wasn't a great adaptation I still hold it dear due to the memories.)
8: Past Lives (I don't really watch romance type movies usually so I was really susprised by how much this movie moved me. Some of the dialogue in there was so beautifully written.)
9: Halloween 2018 (This was probably the first horror movie I saw in cinemas with my best friend and I remember we jumped so many times. Fond memories.)
10: Pirates of The Caribbean 2 (I just remember absolutely loving this movie and its honestly probably where my love for movie soundtracks *and hans zimmer in general* started.)
Jack is slowly morphing into Hozier
Show the cinema room! It’s not bragging when you’ve earned not just your success but the respect your audience has for you. You certainly don’t hide how much you appreciate what you have and do and why you have it. So show it off, get excited about it because the passion you have is a huge part of why your audience loves you and your work.
Not a huge movie watcher, but if i had a top 5 it would probably be
5. No Country For Old Men
4. Logan
3. Monster House
2. Whiplash
1. Megamind
monster house is goated
Would love a tour of the cinema room. I think at least half of yours (esp the cornetto trilogy are in my top favourite movies)
Other all-time personally favourites are "Run, Lola, Run”, “I heart huckabees”, “Little Miss Sunshine”, “Bullworth”, “Roshamon”, “Ghost World”, “Igby Goes Down”, “Blair Witch Project”, Waking Life”, “Darjeeling Limited”, “Jack and the Cuckoo Clock Heart”, and pretty much anything Studio Ghibli and horror in general (esp, ghost and possession stories)
Dazed and Confused is one of my dad's top favorite movies and he showed it to me when I was about 14. Great memories and now one of my favorites too. I knew most of the songs already when we watched it, because he always had that soundtrack playing in the car, he had the CD. 😊
Sean, what's your favorite Cohen Brothers movie? Blood Simple is a great one, and of course Fargo is amazing too.
I originally wrote this before I got to that part.*
*I still think it’s disappointing and pales in comparison to its two predecessors, but he’s certainly entitled to his own opinion.*
I’ve been wanting Seán to do some type of Movie Tier List ever since he did one on his Nine Favorite Games!
💚🤗🤗💚
My top 10 (Some not my favourites but the best that I've watched, and not going to repeat franchises nor directors):
A Haunted House>Paranormal Activity
You named every single one of my favorite movies. Especially Jurassic park!!!
I can watch that franchise over and over again.
Mine would be:
10: Avengers Age of Ultron
9: Fantastic Mr Fox
8: The 1st Hunger Games
7: The FNAF movie
6: Star Wars Revenge of the Sith.
5: LOTR: the two towers.
4: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol3
3: Infinity War
2: Watchmen
1: How to train your Dragon: the hidden world.
Honourable Mentions: Ile of dogs, Dune part 2 and Shrek.
Top Ten is a tough choice...
1. Last Unicorn or Donnie Darko
2. A Single Man (very underappreciated, Colin Firth is amazing and it describes my experiences with depression so well)
3. Matrix
4. Shaun of the dead or Hot Fuzz or Scott Pilgrim (actually "Spaced" if it was a movie and not a show)
That's when it gets tricky.
I would love to see your cinema room! Also these videos just watching you talk about what you love are some of my favorite videos!
My Top 10 (this is hard):
- Pacific Rim
- The Prestige
- Alien
- The Thing
- Captain America: The Winter Soldier
- The Lord of the Rings (I can't separate them, lol)
- The Exorcist
- Silence of the Lambs
- Star Trek '09
- The Dark Knight
Top Honourable Mentions: Jaws, Halloween, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Predator, Arrival
Superbad and pineapple express gang rise up
I dig this type of sharing content! Feels like a great "just chatting" session.
As for the movie theatre tour, man, if you want to go for it and it okay to keep some of the cool stuff just for you.
I heard you mention in your Elden ring series that you loved Reign of Fire and that made me so happy
Some of my favorites- Fight Club, Shawshank Redemption, Se7en, The Dark Knight, The Perfect Woman
So these are my favorites in no particular order:
