Manufacturing Hausted® Stretchers and Surgi Chairs at Our Advanced USA Facility

Since 2013, Graham-Field has been dedicated to manufacturing Hausted Stretchers and Surgi Chairs at our state-of-the-art 400,000-square-foot facility in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Our commitment to quality starts with the arrival of high-grade American steel, which forms the backbone of our precision-engineered medical equipment. Each Hausted product is designed to support patients through every stage of care, from preoperative testing and surgical procedures to postoperative recovery.
Our manufacturing process combines advanced technology with skilled craftsmanship. Precision bending, stamping, and cutting are performed using a state-of-the-art laser tube cutter, ensuring that every stretcher and chair is built to exacting standards. To enhance our production efficiency, we are proud to have installed a second robotic laser tube cutter in 2023, part of our ongoing investment in our Made in USA strategy.
The assembly process is a collaborative effort. Skilled welders handle detailed sub-assemblies, while robotic welders tackle larger components, ensuring strength and consistency across all products. Our teams meticulously attach columns, shrouds, and casters, while other specialists work on patient surfaces and rails, conducting rigorous tests at every stage to guarantee smooth operation.
Every Hausted Stretcher and Surgi Chair undergoes thorough inspection and testing before leaving our facility. Accessories and loose parts are securely fastened, and the finished products are carefully packaged, labeled, and tracked with serial numbers to ensure safe delivery to hospitals, surgery centers, and outpatient facilities worldwide.
