I missed out on ordering the Artisan rooted hair version so I have to settle for the sculpted hair version. I don't do much dynamic posing of my figures but it sculpted hair does bother me in how it is difficult to pose the head. I love this base, love the details in it. Since i only have a third party Wanda for my Infinity War/Endgame display, she should fit in nicely.

Wow, if you didn't point out that the zipper and details on her corset is just a screen printing I wouldn't know it. Too bad Hot Toys doesn't use faux plastic zipper that's already commonly used in 1/6 military figures. I agree the leathery dress ensemble is going to turn into a nightmare sooner or later. The wool hair looks great but it's nowhere near the real-life hair in the movie, like what's Hot Toys smoking nowadays. It's supposed to be flowing naturally (no locks and styling) and it's supposed to be brownish red hair hint hint scarlet hint. And lastly, the BLANK facial expression which is HT specialty at this point. Other high-end 1/6 manufacturers somehow manage to put life into their sculpts eg. Inart. This is a pass for me, and unfortunately we'll have to wait another 10 years for Inart to snag the MCU license and finally do this figure justice.
Yeah the screen printing blend is solid! Maybe the sculpted hair one is the way to go? I like the neutral expression with the slight furrowed brow. With the eyes looking up she looks mean. But I do see your side too!
@@gingerdog8203 fair enough though I still think it's closer to (light) auburn with some brownish highlights. In her earlier scenes with Vision her hair certainly looks redder, it's only when she's in Wakanda that it looks blondier (presumably due to lighting) but not the one used by Hot Toys.

Yeah, makes no sense they didn’t go with real leather for this. For the price they’re selling, that’s disappointing. Locked in a pre-order but now I’m worried about longevity. Might not keep this one. Hopefully someone will get some answers in an interview down the road, would be curious what their thinking was.
If it doesn’t say leather in the description it isn’t. Leather is a selling point when it comes to this kind of stuff. I am sure there are some remote exceptions but for the most part that’s how it is. The knee situation looks nasty. I think the figure and the details look pretty great. I do like this one a lot. This is a great look at it. Thank you both for making this video.
Hot Toys really needs to start inovating in more aspects not just hair. The usb lightsabers are a start, but they pretty much need to change a lot of things, like ditching the current stands/ dynamic stands and use magnets/ the same type of dynamic stand like the Inart Superman, stop using pleather and start using more metal for small outfit bits, get rid of batteries alltogether, esp for Iron Man figures its laughable.
Hair is great, face is like 85-90%, diorama is good. But outfit level not even close to last inArt pieces. Materials and quality is way cheaper. I wonder why so much $ for her? It is strange market strategy, create good piece in very limiting number, started with high numbers, and now it jumps to 650$ for pre-order. Hot toys behave like they are only one) InArt is not doing limiting versions, they are on the market now. Hot toys beware)))
They have time. They need to start figuring out how to get rid of the waist clam (cough) do what in art did with superman (cough) I've been noticing a lot of diorama stands on offer but if the clamp is just going to destroy the figure, there's no reason to use it. And for the love of God, STOP using single jointed limbs!!
Just found out today that this Wanda is coming out and I couldn’t be happier. I preordered the Wandavision version but eventually decided not to get her because as nice as she is, the facial expression and costume just don’t match my vision (!) of the character. And the Dr. Strange version is nutjob Wanda which looks fantastic but I prefer the tragic nature of her character instead of the bat shit crazy version. This one however is ideal. The most realistic costume design, she’s still Wanda the hero but already mixed with the tragedy and fear that will eventually be her downfall into madness. The movable eyes make me so happy as that is the nr. 1 reason why I don’t collect Hot Toys: as great as the likeness is, it’s always ruined with dead, static eyes. Movable eyes however immediately add life to the character as shown in these picture and should honestly be standard with every release. Definitely prefer the sculpted hair for several reasons.
The Artesian version is a bit expensive but I did pre-ordered the sculpted hair Wanda. This will always be my favorite version of Wanda, even though the version of her from multi-verse of madness is the more comic accurate version of Scarlet Witch. Bummer is she won’t be out till late next year. This will be the longest wait for a figure for me.
never thought my broke ass would say this but. i’m not impressed by the head sculpt. they could’ve got her likeness better i feel like the wandavision one looks more like Lizzie Olsen
