  • Last year an iconic piece of history was discovered lying in an aircraft boneyard in Wisconsin. It was the Douglas C-47 “That’s All, Brother” - the airplane that led the massed paratroop drop on D-Day. The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is a non-profit organization based in Dallas, TX. We need your help to rescue this proud old airplane! www.thatsallbrother.org

I just brought my kids to see her here in Oxford, CT before she leaves for Normandy. Everybody there was fantastic. The best part was seeing the spark she lit in my kids eyes. Certainly left an impression. Bravo Zulu.

The most amazing airplane ever built, a combat warrior queen of three wars. It would be wonderful if we had a veteran of Korea, and I believe the ship was named "Spooky" from Viet Nam, together at once. As a FA for EAL during the 70's, it is interesting that I literally hated our DC 9's, most of my "mechanicals" were on a DC9! So glad you saved her!! All hail the Queen!

I live in Wisconsin... Where was this plane found in my state? Amazing to have a treasure like this under my nose for so many years, without having a clue. :/
