Loving it! Makes me want to go out camping in my 107 again. Get yourself a carbon monoxide detector and crack a window when cooking though. It could literally be a life or death situation!
In a car that size, keep some tea-light candles in the glove box. If other systems fail (petrol/diesel runs out &/or exhaust is blocked) just 1 or 2 - they burn for 4hrs on average - can be enough to make the difference between overnight hypothermia or not, if caught in a snowdrift, blizzard, storm, etc.
I love your positivity and I love your vibe. Something about what you said about eating a ham sandwich in the back of your car and nobody having life figured out really made me happy. You're a good storyteller, keep doing it!!! Love from Texas
I have a micro camper and i love it! I built out my Subaru Forester, it is now my mini overlanding machine, which has taken me all over Australia. I can go off grid indefinitely in it (well, until i run out of food..) but from the outside it is just a car, so i can sleep/park anywhere. I love it! Btw.. so sweet that you ring Becky first thing in your day. I've been subscribed to the beautiful Becky for a long time, she has inspired me a lot in my outdoor life. Obviously found your channel via hers..
I have the older version of that power bank and it's still strong after almost 15 years!! Keep up the great content, and greetings from the Canadian Rockies!
ABSOLUTELY LEAGEND BRO!!! I do similar adventures in my Honda Element and it is life changing to get outta the funk of day to day stresses!!! always keep your chin up and stay strong brother from across the pond!!! Also check out Honda Element camper builds they can be almost as cheep as you wanna make em!!! The Element camper builds are GREAT for stealth boondocking so long as you stay quiet and dont make it obvious that you are snoozing where you should not be!!!!!!
Enjoyed the video Jake, looks like the micro is going to be an interesting challenge. Good penny saver for you to nip out on some trips! I've been following your story from the start, prior to you leaving the army. It's good to see your channel growing so you can keep on doing what you enjoy. I am looking forward to seeing your future adventures !
Just looked through your Amazon lists like a good boy and noticed you had a UCO candle in there. We sometimes use ours in the van overnight to provide a little heat.
Love those morning sunrises. Better than those evening ones 😊 also, it hurt that I was in the army for as long as you’ve been alive. Holy crap that made me feel old 😂😂
Loved it….as always. Completely uplifting and a joy to watch!. Had the pleasure of watching you from the start of you leaving the army…you’ve come along way Jake. Great you spoke about Mental Health and how the Outside helps. Thank you 😁
Great video and can’t wait for part two, just goes to show with some imagination what you can do, perfect micro camper, you should be very proud of yourself, don’t worry about being 25 and acting 19, I’m 56 and still act like a kid, life is too short so enjoy every moment Roy
You are a G bruv. Love the content. Keep putting em out. Maybe ill take the plunge and do this myself. Its like a dream of mine forever. Its so nice to see somone living it.
Your a fella man. I can relate to you, also most of your videos. Not only that, your outlook on life and things in general, just makes me wanna do better in myself and I thank you for that mate. Keep it up lad ❤
I have a Ford Transit Connect 1.0 ecoboost (L1H1) converted to a micro camper and I must say, it is slightly bigger but I'm really happy with that extra space when I see you crawling like a contortionist through the car. I'm a lot older and not as agile as you are. The extra space is very welcome. the Ford Transit Connect is 4 meter 40 centimeters which is still small enough to be driven in very small streets.
Don't convince me to camp in my car haha! Always wanted to live the van life but so scared alone, perhaps some day! Lovely chilled videos new subscriber here:)
Hello, I've just come across your channel and I've been catching up on your videos, they are so funny and also really inspiring, you go to some really beautiful places. Thank you for the entertainment. I look forward to seeing lots more.
Great video… you could get a ceiling net to attach to the ceiling and give you a place to store stuff… maybe, make a fold out table from the brew station thru the open door… what about an external wrap for insulation? Lots of potential with this vehicle and you could make it super cosy…
This is home cinema at its finest man! I am absolutely enjoying your videos and am planning to modify my Mitsubishi Space Star as well now. Keep bringing these inspiring videos mate, it's golden! Cheers from the Netherlands 🍻
Me and my fiancee have camped out in her Peugeot 107 (we are 6"2 and 5"7 but fairly slim). Was definitely cramped but we were amazed how good it was for two people such a small car! Definitely wouldn't wanna do it for more than a night or two though!
Great relaxed video Jake i had to laugh when you was getting up to see the sun rise and you said lets see the sun set 🤣 is it cold 🤣 stay safe buddy see you in part two. 🫶👍
Great video Jake, good to see you on top form! We took the plunge and got a van a few months back, you played a big part in the inspiration to get out there so thank you! Also 100% blaming you if it all goes Pete Tong 😂

Seen your conversion video on my recommended, glad I've found this channel brother, my Mrs has a Peugeot 107 which looks the exact same as your C1, I'm wondering if I can do something similar to you but for 2 people? Time will tell, great video Jakey boy, looking forward to binging the rest of your vids 🤙
Be careful mate with having a beer, if you are over the limit or you become over the limit, you could be convicted of being drunk in charge of a vehicle regardless if driving or not.
My husband who has spent 25 years in the british army said your not Arctic trained as everyone knows issued sleeping backs are 💩 buy a regular sleeping bag at least 🤣lol Love the mod

Love the longer video
Lay a section of reflectix atop your sleeping bag for quick temporary job. That should help tremendously to keep yourself warm enough.
Great video, but made me feel cold! Looking forward to part two! 🥶
what a niche little 'Long Way Round' reference there at the petrol station 😂 Lucky it wasnt the eye! ...
Knew someone would appreciate it! 😂 thanks god mate! 😅
Great that ...but is it even a proper ham sandwich without stuffing some crisps in it 😀
Great video Jake, good to see you on top form! We took the plunge and got a van a few months back, you played a big part in the inspiration to get out there so thank you! Also 100% blaming you if it all goes Pete Tong 😂

Get a “lil’buddy” heater. They are indoor safe and will make car much more comfy to sleep in
Aeropress is life.
Word! ☕️
Hi mate, reminds me of my first camper when i left the army (Lancers) a vauxhall astra estate, lucky im not as tall as you lol.
Class mate! Probably got into a CVR-T Drivers cab a little easier than this call sign too then! 😂
Defo worth getting the aeropress non drip attachment its mint
Off chance you read this I slept in small CAR for shelter and against popular advise I ran engine all night for a/C or heat in real world it worked I survived brings back memories

Your cute . great video 🙂
You should get one of those small portable camping heaters there pretty good
The gas canister ones? They are lethal for carbon monoxide…
Love the vid.. A gas stove in a citroen c1 could be a bit dodgy though 😂 Carbon monoxide and all that..
Be careful mate with having a beer, if you are over the limit or you become over the limit, you could be convicted of being drunk in charge of a vehicle regardless if driving or not.
Not in the UK, if you’re not driving and clearly parked up for the night then you’re fine

Great video as always nice to see you smashing life! Any chance you can share the link for that power bank mate?
6 egg is huge!
Mate you don't need suction cups on that reflectix just cut them to size to slot in between the windows and the door trim. They'll stay in.
Where in the beacons did you park up Jake. Looks a nice quiet road with great views 👌🏽👌🏽🏴
Honestly mate, no clue 😂 zoomed in on Google maps & went that’ll do 😂
Remember to keep a window open
