Not sagittal slices. Those are transverse (axial) slices acquired in this scan.

Bad positioning! Eyes exposed to unnecessary irradiation! Pt should be asked to close eyes when laser is on! This should be removed from TH-cam. Bad practice!

We are interested in knowing more about the people who view or download materials from The Open University on TH-cam and what they do with them. This is to help us make the site and materials better. Please take our survey by finding the link on The Open University TH-cam channel OUlearn or on surveymonkey survey number W8VTB97. Thank you.

No. The Cat Scan is different from an MRI. A CT uses radiation to make an image when an MRI uses a magnetic radio frequencies, no radiation involved with MRI. MRI goes into more detail.

@samantha34ize Back then, the technology was far inferior to todays current generation of CT scanners. Today, it uses far less X-ray radiation because the computer can resolve far more image information from far less exposure.

If they suspect a neck fracture, he should be wearing a firm collar to stabilize the neck. Otherwise, they may create paralyze him.

You don't need to be sedated for this. It is not the coffin effect with an MRI.

1 hemisphere looks smaller then another. is that a head positioning issue or is it really smaller ?
